  • Patent number: 11279438
Abstract: A foldable frame structure for trailer so designed that the distance between the pivot connection center of each pivot holder and the left/right side frame and the topmost edge of the left/right frame bar of the bottom frame is greater than the distance obtained by deducting the width of the collapsed bottom frame from the height from the left/right frame bar of the bottom frame to the topmost edge of the left/right side frame. Thus, the left side frame and the right side frame can be individually collapsed and closely attached to the bottom frame in one step. The present invention can greatly save the transportation volume and simplify the folding structure and folding action, and thus achieve the purpose of user's convenient collection and carrying.

Abstract: Systems and methods for transporting quarry. One apparatus includes a basket with webbing and a pair of handles, a coupler, and a stabilizer. The basket couples to the rear of a vehicle via the coupler and, optionally, a stabilizer installed on the vehicle. The method includes placing the basket into a substantially horizontal position, loading the basket with quarry, fixing the quarry into the basket via webbing, rotating the basket as needed to place the quarry in the proper position, and raising the quarry to a substantially vertical position relative to the back of the vehicle, optionally using the handles for leverage. Once positioned, the basket may be locked in place in a position in which the quarry is not in contact with the vehicle. The bagged game does not rest on the vehicle but remains in the basket in the vertical position behind the vehicle.

Abstract: A bicycle seat recline adjusts the incline of a bicycle trailer seat back. The seat recline can comprise opposed gear racks engaged by gears at opposite ends of a cross member. The cross member is coupled to an upper portion of the seat back. Moving the cross member moves the gears in the gear racks and adjusts the angle of the seat back. The cross member is desirably selectively and simultaneously lockable to and releasable from any one of a plurality of positions along the gear rack. A lower portion of the seat back can pivot about a lower pivot axis. • Patent number: 11046132
Abstract: A bicycle trailer latch comprises a skewer engaging surface that is desirably at least in part spherical, such as hemispherical. When engaging a bicycle skewer at the rear wheel of a bicycle, the spherical engagement surface allows more freedom of movement of the bicycle trailer relative to the skewer during towing. This enhances the trailers ability to track the movement of the bicycle. The latch can comprise a housing with a housing opening sized to receive the end portion of the bicycle wheel skewer. A stop inside the housing is pivotal to stop closed and stop open positions. In the stop closed position, the housing opening is sufficiently to block the decoupling of the latch from bicycle skewer. In the stop open position, the stop opens the housing opening sufficiently to permit passage of the end portion of the skewer through the housing opening.

Braking signal to the trailer wheels is reduced using pulse width modulation techniques to reduce the braking force as necessary to eliminate wheel slip. A particular system uses a central microprocessor, two hall-effect speed sensors, and three solid state relays for isolation and control. The ABS works in conjunction with an existing trailer brake controller installed in the tow vehicle.

Abstract: A bicycle tow hitch comprises an apparatus to enable a master bicycle to tow a slave bicycle behind it. The apparatus comprises a plurality of tubular members which make up a master unit and a slave unit being joined using a plurality of bolts. The slave unit is installed onto the front wheel of the slave bicycle and prevents the front wheel of the slave bicycle from rotating. The master unit is installed onto the rear portion of the master bicycle and supports the slave unit in a way that suspends the front wheel of the slave bicycle above the ground while leaving the rear wheel of the slave bicycle in contact with the ground.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a trailer for attachment to a bicycle. The trailer is designed such that when the trailer is decoupled from the bicycle, the trailer can stand without tipping over. Additionally, the coupling assembly used for coupling the trailer to the bicycle, together with the handle assembly, can collectively pivot about the trailer frame to permit the trailer to be easily maneuvered by the rider once the trailer has been decoupled from the bicycle.

  • Patent number: 8794641
Abstract: A micro weight enclosure when fully loaded with gear and equipment is capable of being towed by vehicles with gross tow weight ratings of less than 1000 lbs. This enclosure does not utilize a traditional chassis, rather uses common manufacturing of panel assemblies mechanically attached together forming the basic structural elements required for strength at minimal weight and reduced wind drag. The enclosure, being ergonomically optimized, allows enough space to stand in one location, but sit, recline, or lay prone in a most comfortable fashion, and to attend to human hygiene and related activity in a secure protected environment. The independent suspension couples directly to the enclosure lowers the vehicle, reducing wind drag, allowing enclosure leveling, improves ingress, egress, and overall occupant comfort. The enclosure being acceptable for day travel; surfing or partying in urban and rural environments as example, or extended travel; road trips or camping as example.

Abstract: The present invention is a trailer assembly with two wheels having a tongue hitch attached to a belly plate. The belly plate is connected to a main frame chassis. The tongue hitch has engagement means which allows the trailer to be attached to a vehicle. The tongue hitch is removable and the plate is secured to the frame of a motorcycle creating a four wheel vehicle. Height adjustment risers and length adjustment risers are mounted to the plate and are engaged with the main frame rail. The trailer assembly can be adjusted to different types of motorcycles. A cross brace/bumper is secured to a distal end of the frame chassis. Decking material mounts on the frame chassis to provide storage capability.

Abstract: A convertible trailer assembly is provided that can be pushed or pulled. The trailer assembly can be converted between pushed or pulled operation or provided as a retrofit assembly for a stroller that allows its conversion between pushed or pulled operation. The Assembly includes a linkage assembly to provide a smoother towing experience for the user. The linkage uniquely takes up the constant jarring motion that is incompatible as between the user and the trailer and dissipates it in a toggle that consists of a lever extending upwardly from a tow point on the trailer. When accelerating or going uphill the toggle pulls forward, at equilibrium the toggle motion absorbs the incremental differences in acceleration/deceleration and at the rear limit of its range of motion, the toggle pushes a brake actuator to slow the trailer.
