  • Patent number: 11332180
Abstract: Various embodiments of a collapsible stroller configured to form at least a compact collapsed configuration are described. In some embodiments, the collapsible stroller includes a foldable frame assembly including a top frame pivotably coupled to a bottom frame such that the top frame is allowed to pivot along a longitudinal plane of the foldable frame assembly. The foldable frame assembly can include first strut assemblies pivotably coupled to the bottom frame at respective angled joints. The angled joints can each include a first axis of rotation that is angled relative to the longitudinal plane such that the strut assemblies pivot towards the longitudinal plane as the top frame pivots towards the bottom frame for forming the collapsed configuration. In some embodiments, the foldable frame assembly further includes a suspension system that also can pivot towards the longitudinal plane when the foldable frame assembly forms the collapsed configuration.

Abstract: A device comprising an elastically deformable body (1) having an opening (2) that defines two pliable portions (3; 4) consisting of a central portion (3) and a surrounding portion (4) that are capable of being folded relative to each other to form a supporting means that is adaptable to various structures such as baby strollers, cargo carts, golf club-bag carrying carts, and the like. Since the body (1) of the device is elastically deformable, the central portion (3) and the surrounding portion (4) can be bent to such an extent that the body may (1) reach a great variety of desired shapes for acting as truly foldable carrier devices.

  • Patent number: 7104552
Abstract: An improved plastic basket shopping cart includes a cart base having an upwardly extending rear frame section with a handle and at least three wheels rotatably mounted on the cart base. A generally rectangular box shaped plastic basket is mounted on the cart base, and includes a base wall, left and right side walls and a front wall, the side walls and the front wall having a plurality of generally rectangular wall openings having a height greater than their width, excepting those wall openings adjacent the base wall being generally square in shape for improved structural strength. Rear flange sections extend outwards and rearwards from the side walls to substantially cover the gaps between the side walls and the rear frame section. Finally, a basket rim support wire extends circumferentially around and through upper portions of the side walls and front wall and connects to the rear frame section.

  • Patent number: 7077422
Abstract: A collapsible, foldable support structure and conveyance has a frame assembly with multiple interconnected frame members, junction blocks located at intersecting ends of some of the frame members, and wheels attached to the junction blocks or directly to frame members. Fixtures are attached to or integrally formed with the junction blocks for mounting of wheels or other conveyances or components to the frame assembly. A support structure is attached to the frame assembly to support a load such as a human or cargo or both. In a folded configuration, the frame members are moved into a generally parallel arrangement and the junction blocks and conveyances attached to the junction blocks or frame members are drawn together. In one embodiment, two of the frame members are hinged, and the junction block associated with the hinged frame member is able to slide over the hinge. The hinged frame members also serve as a foot rest support when the frame assembly is in an unfolded configuration.

  • Patent number: 7077423
Abstract: The apparatus is a reduced size baby stroller with a structure that counteracts the usual lengthening when the stroller is folded. The rear wheels of the stroller are interconnected with the front legs and attached to the rear legs by a pivoting wheel link so that the rear wheels do not separate from the front wheels when folded, but instead pivot out of alignment with the rear legs. The stroller handles are mounted on tubes that can telescope inward because all the attachments to the outer tubes are made by external fixtures that do not penetrate into the interior of the tubes, and the canopy can also slide inward when the stroller is folded because the canopy frame is mounted on a fixture with a track.

Abstract: Fold flat walking or jogging strollers, as well as various fold flat cargo carrier devices are disclosed, which include at least three wheels which may have pivoting wheel support units and alternative foldable support frame embodiments are disclosed. The wheel support units include, in various embodiments, simple manually manipulable methods to latch each wheel in the operative or stowed flat positions, which effectively allows the device to fold to a flat profile without any part or wheel being detached. Associated innovations include a unique forward wheel folding system, a pivoting or floating transverse axle replicating unit (“false axle”), which pivots and latches to replicate a typical fixed wheel axle, but conveniently pivots to a fold flat stowed position.
