One- Or Two-wheeled Cart Patents (Class 280/645)
  • Patent number: 4362308
Abstract: A multi-purpose assembly is constructed to be arranged from a compact folded position into a portable chair and container. The assembly includes a pair of sidewall members each having side arms pivotally connected at one end to opposite sides of a base. Telescoping assemblies are connected to the other ends of the side arms between common sides to secure the sidewall members in an upright position and to permit their rotation into a folded position overlying the base. The multi-purpose assembly is arranged into a portable chair and container from the compact folded position by rotating one or both of the sidewall members into the upright position. Movement of the multi-purpose assembly over loose terrain, such as sand and the like, is assisted by a ribbed roller secured adjacent to one side of the base.

  • Patent number: 4337966
Abstract: A folding cart having a flexible container suspended from a rectangular rigid frame forming the mouth of the container. The rectangular frame is supported on the axle between two wheels by upright members pivotally connected to the two sides of the rectangular frame near the center. A handle extends from the axle and is joined to the rectangular frame at one end of the frame. The point of connection can be moved along the handle away from the axle to rotate the upright members to a folded position. Legs attached to the rectangular frame prevent tipping about the axle and wheels. The legs can be folded upwardly against the bottom of the container to fold the bottom of the container against the rectangular frame.

  • Patent number: 4275896
Abstract: The present safety mechanism is especially constructed for a carriage insertable into a load space of a vehicle. The safety device prevents the accidental unlocking of wheel supporting, tiltable arms of the carriage. Specifically, the wheel supporting arms must not be able to tilt upwardly unintentionally. For this purpose a security pin or bolt is provided which is capable of reaching behind a shoulder of a locking bolt. The security pin or bolt is connected by a cable to a tiltable lever which supports a roller. When the roller comes to rest on a support, for example, the loading platform, the security pin or bolt is withdrawn from the shoulder arresting position so that only after such withdrawal the locking bolt may be disengaged by actuating a respective grip member at the handle of the carriage.

  • Patent number: 4262928
Abstract: A club container is removably mounted on a cart and has a bottom notch receiving a crossrod of the cart and an upper, releasable latch. The club container has a pleated, flexible plastic irons separator and has long tubular sockets receiving shafts of the woods. The cart has a frame of two U-shaped tubes secured together by rivets which also pivot a U-shaped wheel suspension tube carrying pivot pins on which are pivoted circle-carrying arms biased by torsion spring rods secured to the tube. To form a folding linkage, a pair of rods having bent-over, lower end portions trapped in the wheel suspension tube are held together with bent-over, upper end portions trapped in a block secured to a handle. Two pairs of legs pivotally secured to a seat and having ends hooked into the frame of the cart to mount the seat, along with a pair of braces hooked into the frame and slidable along one of the pairs of rods, for overcenter movement between a seating position and a folded position.

  • Patent number: 4254850
Abstract: Trunks and luggage having retractable wheels connected to a wheeling handle. The motion of each wheel is controlled by a cam slot so that the wheel moves out when the handle is extended but returns to storage position when the handle is retracted. Any required lost motion in extending the handle is provided by either an interlocking wire loop or a curved cam slot.

  • Patent number: 4213648
Abstract: A wheelchair comprising a support frame of two oppositely disposed sides includes a holding device for supporting an oxygen tank thereon. The holding device includes a hollow cylinder having an open top end and a bottom end closed by a movable disk. The cylinder includes a mounting bracket for releasably attaching the cylinder to the spaced upwardly extending pins on the wheelchair frame which conventionally is used to mount detachable foot rests. The cylinder can be reversed from one side of the wheelchair to the other by inverting the cylinder.
