  • Patent number: 7334809
Abstract: A trailer hitch assembly better secures a trailer to a vehicle trailer hitch. By restricting vertical travel of the trailer coupling, a hitch ball on a draw bar is better engaged by the trailer coupling as any vertical dislodgement of the trailer coupling from the hitch ball is restricted by the underlying trailer hitch assembly. The underlying trailer hitch assembly cannot travel upward when locked into position as the draw bar obstructs its upward travel, thus preventing the trailer coupling from disengaging the hitch ball. The trailer hitch assembly is lockably pivotable away from the underside of the draw bar in order to allow controlled disengagement of the trailer coupling from the hitch ball. The trailer hitch assembly may act as a support when placed in the vertical or downward position with a wheel, pad, or skid providing support for the accompanying trailer and its load. Additionally, a new trailer hitch ball system is detachably attachable to the draw bar without a shank, nut, or washer.

  • Patent number: 7287774
Abstract: A stabilizing device with an tubular housing is disclosed. The tubular housing may be manufactured to provide the torsion assembly an ability to rotate from a first position to a second position without substantially changing the angle of the stabilizing wheels and thus allows a motorcycle to turn through turns at low or high speeds without tipping over. The tubular housing further contains an elastic receiver the absorbs the rotational force of the torsion assembly and upon removal of the gravitational force of the motorcycle, the elastic receiver provides a retracting force on the torsion assembly to return the orientation of the torsion assembly to the original first position.

  • Patent number: 7237803
Abstract: A drag wheel and mount attachable to the angular skid bracket engaged on the rear of a motor vehicle such as a trailer or motorhome without removing or otherwise altering the angular skid bracket. The device features a roller rotationally engaged on the distal end of a mount. The mount is adapted to attach to the angular skid bracket in a compressible engagement without altering or drilling the skid bracket or detaching it from the vehicle. The roller projects past the lower surface of the angular skid bracket on two sidewalls and contacts the road surface in the event the vehicle tilts sufficiently to cause the skid bracket to strike the road.

  • Patent number: 7232008
Abstract: An anti-tip system is provided for stabilizing a vehicle, such as a power wheelchair, about a pitch axis and relative to a ground plane. The anti-tip system includes at least one anti-tip wheel. The mounting assembly for the anti-tip wheel is configured such that it traverses linearly in a direction toward or away from the ground plane and is responsive to an acceleration or deceleration of the wheelchair. As the wheelchair accelerates or decelerates, rotational motion of the drive train assembly is transmitted to a guide subassembly within the mounting to effect translation of the anti-tip wheel. Upward translation of the anti-tip wheel enables the wheelchair to negotiate obstacles, e.g., curbs or steps, while downward translation or force enhances stability when stopping the wheelchair or while moving down sloping terrain or surfaces. The anti-tip wheels may be castors and normally contacting the ground during operation.

  • Patent number: 7000928
Abstract: A third wheel collapsing device for a golf club cart includes a third wheel support frame having a U-shaped frame fixed pivotally with a third wheel and a hollow support arm fitted therein with a fit block. The support arm and the fit block respectively have insert holes and connecting holes. A support base assembled on the support arm has a pivotal shaft under the bottom and a threaded hole before the pivotal shaft for receiving an elastic lock member, which has an engage rod biased by a compression coil spring and controlled by a user. The support base has a fastening frame fixed with the lower end of the main frame of a golf club cart. When the engage rod is pulled and removed from the first insert hole of the support arm and the first connecting hole of the fit member, the third wheel support frame can be transversely collapsed.

  • Patent number: 6938711
Abstract: A freestanding self-propelled device for moving objects. The device includes a chassis having lower frame portions and upright frame portions. A single motor-driven drive wheel is centrally located between the lateral ends of the chassis and coupled to the chassis so as to be pivotable about a substantially vertical axis. The drive wheel is located between sets of support wheels coupled to the lower frame portion of the chassis. In combination, the drive wheel and the support wheels result in the device being freestanding. The drive wheel projects below the sets of support wheels so that the device is supported by the drive wheel and by only one of each set of support wheels at any given time, thereby establishing a three-point contact with the surface supporting the device. A tiller equipped with controls is pivotably coupled to the drive wheel for pivoting the drive wheel about its vertical axis.
