Abstract: Gift card forms and methods of making and using gift card forms are disclosed. The gift card form permits uniquely messaging each gift card. An appropriate gift card form can be printed at a time after manufacturing to allow a vendor to personalize the gift card. Additionally, order information, such as billing information, can be printed on the gift card form at the same time that the gift card is personalized. The gift card form can be kept as a record with the order information.

Abstract: A carrier sheet with an integrated card and preferably, but not exclusively, a magnetic strip card is described. The sheet contains printed information which is in part card information printed at a predetermined location on a front face of a carrier sheet in a card region thereof and oriented to be disposed on an outer surface of the front and a rear card panel of the card to be formed. The siliconized liner patch, containing a pressure-sensitive adhesive, is laminated on the back surface of the carrier sheet and disposed to extend over the card region. A face patch of clear poly material containing a magnetic strip is removably secured over the card region on the front face of the paper carrier sheet.

Abstract: A reusable printer label carrier is used to support an individual label for applying an imprint onto the label using a printer connected to a computer. p The carrier includes a main support panel having a release surface to support a label. Also, a method of removing a portion of a panel foldable over the main support panel to define a foldable flap which overlaps at least one edge of the label is provided. The carrier is fed into the printer, with the crease formed by the foldable flap forming the leading edge, the flap preventing the label from being inadvertently removed from the carrier by the printer feed mechanism. The main support panel is marked to indicate proper positioning of the label for repeatable printing of labels.

Abstract: An extended text wrap label includes a base ply and at least one top ply. The base ply has a first lengthwise dimension, a first widthwise dimension, a top surface that is capable of bearing graphic images, and a bottom surface that is capable of bearing graphic images and capable of being adhesively coupled to an object to be labeled. The at least one top ply has a second lengthwise dimension, a second widthwise dimension, a front surface that is capable of bearing graphic images, and a back surface that is also capable of bearing graphic images. The base ply and the at least one top ply are adhesively coupled, in a first portion of the label, to each other such that the top surface of the base ply and the back surface of the at least one top ply are in contiguous juxtaposition with each other along the first lengthwise dimension and the second lengthwise dimension, respectively, and along the first widthwise dimension and the second widthwise dimension, respectively.

Abstract: An adhesive leaflet assembly is provided having a carrier web and a plurality of lengthwise oriented leaflet sub-assemblies releasably adhered on the web. The leaflet sub-assemblies have adhesive wing-like extensions that are oriented in a longitudinal direction relative to the carrier web. Longitudinal orientation of these wing-like extensions facilitates application of the leaflet sub-assemblies onto articles having a flat or planar surface in a high-speed continuous labeling operation. A method of providing a leaflet assembly, as well as a method for applying leaflet sub-assemblies are also provided.

Abstract: A data package assembly includes at least one data card having a first substrate with opposite faces, and indicia correlated with a prepaid account. A package has a second substrate separate from the first substrate, the data card being detachably connected to the second substrate. Personal identifying indicia correlated with the account are concealed by the package. In addition, first account verification indicia on the card, and second account verification indicia on the package, both different from the personal identifying indicia and both correlated with the same account, are visibly exposed, the package including an aperture visibly exposing the first account verification indicia.

Abstract: A method and system for unloading continuous forms media from an image forming device while utilizing full forms. The full form utilization feature of the present invention is applicable to printing onto sheets having multiple forms. During an automatic unload operation, the last printed form from a print run is unloaded and the first unused form is positioned to be the first printed form on a subsequent run. The full form utilization feature of the present invention reduces or minimizes the number of forms wasted during print runs.

Abstract: A form with a well has a form layer with a top and a bottom surface and a perimeter, a die cut through the form layer that defines a portion of said form layer within said die cut, a patch layer having a perimeter and top and bottom surfaces, and an adhesive layer that is repositionable and peelable. The patch layer is adhesively but removably secured to the bottom surface of the form layer such that the die cut and form layer portion are entirely within the perimeter of the patch layer. The form has a well, that is created by removal of the form layer portion from within the die cut. The bottom of the well is the top surface of said adhesive layer and the sides of the well are the edges of said die cut. The adhesive layer has a greater affinity for the patch layer than the form layer portion such that when the form layer portion is removed from the form, the adhesive stays adhered to the patch layer. Articles such as photographs may then be inserted into the well.

The adhesive layer includes a first adhesive portion engaging the lower surface of the leaflet and a second adhesive portion engaging the lower surface of the tab member. At least a portion of the leaflet does not overlie the tab member. The label may include a laminate cover overlying the upper surface of the leaflet and including a laminate tab portion overlying the exposed portion of the tab member.

Abstract: A game ticket assembly includes a number of game tickets for playing games of chance. The game ticket assembly is formed from a continuous strip of material, with the game tickets spaced along the length of the strip. The material is folded and the tickets form a stack of game tickets. A fold joins the edges of the top and bottom game tickets on one side of the stack. A flap extends along the other side of the stack from the bottom game ticket and adheres to the top game ticket.

Abstract: A foldable, weather-resistant reference guide for wearing on the arm, torso, or leg. The foldable, weather-resistant reference guide is attached to a soft, flexible keeping member that holds the reference guide in a folded configuration. The keeping member is connected to or comprised of at least one flexible strap such as an elastic strap that encircles the arm, torso, or leg. The reference guide itself is made of a synthetic fiber paper for weather-resistance. The reference guide folds-up when not in use and is held in place by the keeping member so that the reference guide does not interfere with any physical activities such as snow skiing. The keeping member and reference guide can be opened, unfolded, refolded, and closed with only one hand, even while wearing bulky gloves. The entire invention is made of flexible materials that are comfortable, durable, and safe to a person wearing the article and participating in a rigorous physical activity. The reference guide is typically a map.

Abstract: A shipping envelope comprising first, second and third panels, each having a front and a back, are adjoined side to side adjacent a first fold line between the first and second panels, and a second fold line between the second and third panels. The first panel has fixed information including a return address on the front and a first adhesive on the back to secure the first panel to a shipping container. The second and third panels include one or more areas for printing a delivery address and other variable information. A second adhesive secures the first panel to another panel when the panels are folded along the first and second fold lines so that they overlie the first panel, so that the delivery address is facing out on the envelope. Advantageously, the second and third panels comprise a first ply and the first panel comprises a second ply with the first and second plies overlying one another and secured together by a third adhesive therebetween adjacent the first fold line.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for highly customizing and personalizing a greeting card through the association with a digital recording media. The CD can include a writable track for recording the user's voice input and a writable track for recording other audio and/or video input. The CD can, additionally. be provided with a track prerecorded with words and music based around specific occasions, such as Mother's Day, Christmas, etc. and can be provided with a track on which is prerecorded instrumental music for use karaoke style. As a further option, the CD can be provided with a writable track for recording the user's voice merged with the music on the instrumental track.

The confidential information is printed on the sealable inner surface of at least one of the films forming the wallet. The invention is applicable, in particular, to prepaid telephone tickets/cards.

Abstract: A data package assembly comprises a substrate which includes a panel portion and a data card portion detachable from each other. The data card portion has an exposed face and a concealed face on opposite sides of the substrate, with personal identifying indicia on the concealed face correlated with a prepaid account. The data card portion is folded into an overlapping relationship with the panel portion so that the panel portion faces the concealed face of the data card portion and thereby conceals the personal identifying indicia without requiring folding of the panel portion. The data card portion is detachably retained in overlapping relationship with the panel portion, at least a major portion of the exposed face of the data card portion being visibly exposed.

Abstract: The printed web of paper, from which label booklets are formed, is provided in a punching unit with punch cuts, which form at least one row of punched areas and non-punched areas, wherein the punched areas remain joined to the non-punched areas respectively along a line running in the transverse direction of the web of paper. In the folding unit each punched area is deflected out of the plane of the web of paper by a blast of compressed air, is folded over contrary to the running direction by means of a pressure roller and pressed onto the associated non-punched area. In the laminating unit a transparent web of plastic provided with a self-adhesive coating on its underside is laminated over the folded web of paper and pressed so that a multilayered web is formed, which on its underside lies on a support web, which is provided with an anti-adhesive coating on its side facing the web of paper.

The hanger member includes an attachment portion having a lower surface and a hanger portion having a lower surface. The hanger portion defines an opening adapted to receive the support. A first, permanent adhesive coats the lower surface of the attachment portion to substantially permanently adhere the attachment portion to the substrate and a second, non-permanent adhesive coats the lower surface of the hanger portion to temporarily adhere the hanger portion to the substrate. Alternatively, a second, permanent, patterned adhesive may partially coat the hanger portion to temporarily adhere the hanger portion to the substrate. A base label may be provided.

Abstract: A method of forming a label for displaying information includes providing a release liner having an upper surface. A discrete patch of leaflet adhesive is applied to the upper surface of the release liner. The leaflet adhesive patch has an end edge. A leaflet is provided having a bottom panel and a top panel overlying and connected to the bottom panel along a fold line. The leaflet is applied to the release liner and the leaflet adhesive patch such that a first portion of the bottom panel overlies the leaflet adhesive patch and a second portion of the bottom panel adjacent the fold line extends beyond the end edge of the leaflet adhesive patch.

Abstract: A mailer intermediate is formed from a sheet having at least one transverse fold line dividing the sheet into a first panel and a second panel such that the first panel longitudinal dimensions are equal to, or exceed the second panel longitudinal dimensions. The second panel is folded over onto the first panel. A temporary tacking agent is applied to the face of the sheet to temporarily tack down the folded over, transverse edge of the lower panel. The mailer intermediate may be processed in this pre-folded condition according to the user's variable imaging needs because there are no loose edges to catch in printer output stacking trays, or jam in internal components of printers. The longitudinal edges of the return envelope panel may be permanently sealed prior to printing, or may be sealed later during processing through folder/sealer equipment.

The label portion further includes one or more fold lines that define upper and lower adjacent print panels, both of which can receive printable indicia. A score line is placed in the label portion to define a mount region, a printable surface region and a pull tab region. The pull tab region is disposed between the mount region and the printable surface region, and includes a pull tab with at least one layer of adhesive so that, upon folding of the label portion along the one or more fold lines, the pull tab becomes multi-layered for increased strength and durability.

The device includes one or more carousels removably retaining magazines containing tickets to be dispensed. The carousels are indexed to position a magazine for dispensing the article. After the patron has paid for the ticket, a dispensing mechanism pulls the article from the magazine and dispenses it. Each article has at its margin a slot which cooperates with a rod in the magazine to hold the articles in the magazine. When dispensed, the article is pulled from the rod.

Abstract: An assembly for creating free form laminated objects, such as a throwing toys or napkin ring that can be printed or decorated by the use of printer or copier without jamming. The assembly includes a sheet of cardstock or thin printable sheet material, a sheet of transparent laminated plastic and intermediate adhesive layer that adheres the cardstock sheet and laminated sheet together. The cardstock sheet has a die cut outline configured to the desired shape of an object. The laminated sheet has a die cut outline substantially extending outside of the outline on the cardstock sheet, to allow laminated sheet to fold over and entirely cover the cardstock area within the cardstock die cut outline. The assembly has a substantially constant thickness and substantially flat upper and lower surfaces so that the assembly can pass through a printer or copier without jamming.

Abstract: A mailing assembly for use in connection with non-domestic delivery of a mailpiece wherein the sender of the mailpiece is required to complete the sender's declaration. The assembly includes a mailing label, a tracking area, and a backing sheet. Alternatively, the assembly includes a mailing label, a tracking area, a receipt card, and a backing sheet. The mailing label and tracking area are detachably connected to each other and form an entirely complete mailing form. The mailing label, the tracking area, and the receipt card may form the entirety of the mailing form. Such form is adhesively connected to the backing sheet. An adhesive layer is provided between the mailing form and the backing sheet. The sender provides all of the necessary information on the mailing label relating to the contents of the mailpiece being delivered. The sender may also add a machine-readable code to the tracking area which aids in the tracking of the mailpiece.

Abstract: A mailing envelope with a plurality of inserts is made by imaging variable color indicia on both faces of a paper substrate and imaging sense marks, and reply indicia, on at least one face of the substrate. The sense marks are used to properly align and slit the substrate web into a web of pre-determined width (removing the sense marks), and then label portions are flexographically printed on the first face of the web with magnetic ink. Adhesive and a release liner (e.g. using transfer tape) are applied to the second face of the web at the label portions and the labels are die cut from the label portions. The web is cut into sheets of predetermined length, each sheet including at least one set of labels, and the sheet is buckle folded to form a folded sheet with a plurality of panels in the sheet, at least one panel having a set of labels.

Abstract: A foldable card for providing information to a user including a backing sheet, a printable sheet and an adhesive material on one side of the printable sheet releasably securing the backing and printable sheets together. The printable sheet includes first and second sections having substantially similar dimensions connected together at a fold line. Information is printable on a side of the first and second sections opposite the adhesive material during a single pass through a printer. When the printable sheet is removed the backing sheet and folded along the fold line, the adhesive material on the first and second sections secures the first and second sections together allowing the information printed on both the first and second section to be viewable. The foldable card may be produced in any shape such as a post card or I.D. tag. When used as an I.D. tag the first section may include a window through which an item between the first and second sections is viewable.

Abstract: A method for forming and using a mailpiece requiring special services is provided. The method includes providing a mailpiece having an integral document section requiring special service mailing that includes folding the sheet along fold lines and sealing the mailpiece to enclose the integral document section. The method further includes providing a removably attached section which, after the system is folded and sealed, forms a return postcard and at least one form. The return postcard and the form are integrally formed, but removably attached. The method includes removing the return postcard when the mailpiece is received by the addressee.

The second panel of the wrapper body is brought adjacent a first side of the folded section of the ticket body and the first and third panels of the wrapper body are folded over a second side of the folded section of the ticket body. A first layer of adhesive is disposed between the first and third panels of the wrapper body and a plurality of spaced perforations extend through the first and third panels of the wrapper body. Such a jar ticket has enhanced security. A jar ticket manufacturing machine for such a jar ticket is also disclosed.

Abstract: A combined greeting card and calendar includes a calendar backing panel, which has first and second portions separated by a horizontal fold line. A card portion is formed from the same stock as the calendar backing portion and comprises a rectangular card, which is attached to the first portion of the calendar backing panel at a second fold line perpendicular to the horizontal fold line between the two portions of the calendar backing panel. A magnetic fastener may be attached to the back of the calendar backing panel to secure it to a metal surface.

Abstract: A card has a printed face, a back, and a fold line which divides the card into a main portion and a flap which is foldable over the fold line so that the back of the flap is flush with the back of the main portion and the face of the card has the shape and appearance of a conventional business card. An adhesive layer is disposed on the back of the card so that with the flap open the adhesive may be exposed and the card removably adhered to a smooth vertical surface, juxtaposing the face of the flap and an auxiliary message printed upon the same with the face of the main portion. Removal of the card from the surface and either folding of the flap or separation of the same from the main portion converts the card back to one which has a face that has the shape and appearance of a conventional business card.

The sheet composite is folded in opposite directions along successive transverse paths of weakness to form a stack of sheet composite segments.
