The methods include analyzing expression or mutations in epidermal samples, of one or more skin markers. The methods can include the use of a microarray to analyze gene or protein profiles from a sample.

In response to the first data set having the value, the visualization system plots a difference of the value of the first data set on the at least one graph. The medical information/instruction display can be at least one sheet on which the medical information/instructions are printed or an electronic display such as an LCD screen. If printed information/instructions are used, each sheet may be contained within a transparent sleeve to protect the sheet from damage. In use, a child's weight is correlated to a specific color zone on the elongated base and the corresponding instruction portion is removed and fastened to an object near the child to easily enable the user to administer medical treatment to the child.

The disclosed systems and methods may be particularly applicable to constant velocity transport (CVT) digital scanning systems by comparing multiple scans of a simply-produced test pattern passed over the sensor in multiple orientations. Image information from each pass of the test pattern through the image scanning system may be compared to image information from other passes in which the orientation of the test pattern is changes. The data may be normalized and compared to discern image quality defects introduced by the image scanning system including image defects presented in the form of streaks in an output image based on the scanned data. Cumulative data regarding detected image defects and defect correction measures applied in the image scanning system may be collected and stored for a user to access.

The method includes a set of symbols indicating the time of day the medication should be administered in accordance with the prescription instructions and a storage system for duplicate prescription labels corresponding to the prescription labels on the prescription containers. The dosage schedule and amount are translated into the symbols which are applied to each duplicate prescription label. Medications are dispensed to the patient in accordance with the symbols applied to the duplicate prescription labels.

Abstract: Decades of investigations were focused on finding “gold standard” for evaluation of plasma dilution and osmolality, blood loss evaluation and prediction of bleeding or transfusion induced changes in hematocrit and hemoglobin concentration. Addressing deficiencies of existing methods, the current invention created new combined mathematical-physiological model applicable to manually operated nomograms and software in medical monitors. The mathematical model HBS Trends is used in blood transfusion and infusion therapy nomogram—HBS Nomogram—which is based on blood hemoglobin concentration and hematocrit. It is also an easy and practical tool for recording and dynamical interpretation of plasma osmolality, blood hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration. The HBS Nomogram is a practical system for organizing blood test results in a patient's medical records.

In addition, the swing training system includes a practice mat.
