Abstract: A data package assembly includes at least one data card having a first substrate with opposite faces, and indicia correlated with a prepaid account. A package has a second substrate separate from the first substrate, the data card being detachably connected to the second substrate. Personal identifying indicia correlated with the account are concealed by the package. In addition, first account verification indicia on the card, and second account verification indicia on the package, both different from the personal identifying indicia and both correlated with the same account, are visibly exposed, the package including an aperture visibly exposing the first account verification indicia.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a combined packing slip and shipping label provided into one form. The shipping label is attached to the packing slip along a line of perforation. The packing slip is provided with adhesive on three of its perimeter sides for securing it to a liner material. An interior portion of the packing slip, bordered by the three adhesive sides, is devoid of adhesive. When the packing slip is folded along a line of perforation, it is disposed intermediate the shipping label and the liner. Perforations also delineate the interior of the packing slip from the three sides of adhesive for removing the packing slip therefrom. Also, a remote end of the packing label opposite the packing slip is adhered to the liner. This construction maintains the remote end of the shipping label secured to the liner as the combined form is run through a printing device.

The apparatus includes a first supply of a media having a front and back side, a first print head located adjacent the front side of the media; a first transport mechanism for advancing the first supply of media in a first processing path; a second supply of a second media having a front and back side, the front side of the second media is such that digital images may be printed thereon; a second print head for providing images on the front side of the second media; a second first transport mechanism for advancing the first media along a first processing path, the first path and second path being positioned such that initially the paths are initially separated and later combined to form a single processing path such that the back sides of first media and second media will be co-extensive with each other; and a securing mechanism for bringing together and securing the first media and second media so as to form a substantially integral web.

Abstract: A folding carton, box, container, envelope, sleeve or the like is provided with at least one detachable panel in the form of an information card, an identification card, a reminder card, a business reply card, a return envelope or other useful item. At least one attachment in the form of informational material, brochures, pamphlets, media items, compact disks, cassette tapes, video tapes, packets or pouches, is suitably secured to the folding carton and/or the detachable panels between the outside of the box and the detachable panel or panels. The detachable panel is folded over the attachment and the open end of the detachable panel is secured down to the box by seals. To gain access to the information an end user need simply to break the seals. The attachments can then be accessed and the detachable panel or can then be simply removed from the box and used or returned to the manufacturer or company.

Abstract: A mailer type business form intermediate, and method of producing a mailer from the intermediate, effect folding in a novel manner in order to produce a business form that is particularly advantageous for providing a negotiable instrument, such as a bank check or money order. The intermediate has conventional components, but with first, second and third fold lines defining a sheet of paper comprising the intermediate into first through fourth panels. The fourth panel has indicia defining the negotiable instrument and at least one line of weakness separating the negotiable instrument from the rest of the fourth panel. Tacking adhesive patterns may be disposed substantially parallel to the top and bottom edges of the intermediate to hold the first panel second face to the second panel second face adjacent the top edge and second fold line, and to hold the fourth panel second face to the second panel first face adjacent the first and third fold lines, when the intermediate is folded about the fold lines.

Abstract: A sheet mailer construction including a standard size paper sheet having two horizontal score lines and two horizontal perforation lines, forming a top flap, first and second panels, a tear-off panel and a bottom tear-off strip. Left and right vertical perforation lines define left and right sheet side edge tear-off strips. The user on his personal computer formats the desired indicia to be printed on the three panels using his (desk top ink jet) printer. After printing, the left side, right side and bottom tear-off strips are torn off, the tear-off panel is folded up towards the second panel, the first and second panels are folded together, and the top flap is folded onto the outside of the second panel. The mailer is mailed to the recipient who breaks the seal of the sticker holding the top flap to the second panel, unfolds the mailer, reads the printed information on the inside surfaces of the first and second panels, and tears off the tear-off panel.

The invention relates to an instruction leaflet for pharmaceutical products or similar comprising at least two superposed sheets joined on one of their edges, the instruction leaflet comprising at least one thinning line allowing the division of the originally single instruction leaflet into at least two distinct parts.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a apparatus which includes a left front panel and a left back panel which together form a first pocket and a right front panel and a right back panel which together form a second pocket. The apparatus also includes a left closing flap which is connected to the left back panel, a middle closing flap which is connected to the right back panel, a right closing flap which is connected to the middle closing flap. An item or items, such as a keepsake, can be inserted into the first and/or second pocket. The keepsake may be a greeting card and a portion or panel of the greeting card may be inserted into the first pocket while another portion or panel may be inserted into the second pocket. The first and second pockets are preferably virtually completely or completely sealed so that no the inserted keepsake can not be damaged. The left closing flap, the middle closing flap, and the right closing flap may each have a set of a plurality of holes.

Abstract: Methods and computer software for generating Glidetext™—that is, text in which the word sequence in a first line of text is from left to right followed by a second line of text in which the word sequence is from right to left and continuing in this alternating fashion throughout a piece of text. The method comprises converting text in which the word sequence is the same in every line to text in which the word sequence in every other line is from right to left. Only the word sequence is reversed, the sequence and orientation of the letters in each word in all lines stays the same.

Abstract: A pattern of horizontal and vertical perforation lines are cut into a sheet to define a pair of combination mailers with a disposable sheet margin around them and a sheet margin between them. Other formats aside from this “two-up” format can be used if desired. Each of the mailers includes a postcard connected to and adjacent either a business card or a rotary card. The user then designs on his computer the desired indicia to be printed on the postcard and the business card or rotary card of each of the mailers on the sheet. The sheet is then passed through a printer and the selected indicia printed on the mailers. The sheet can have a calendered infeed end to improve printer pickup and feed. The printed mailers are then separated from the sheet along the perforation lines, stamped and mailed to the intended recipients. The recipients then separate the custom printed business or rotary card from the postcard and retain the separated card for future reference.

Abstract: A tuck label for placing on a shipping package. The tuck label includes a substrate portion and a single sheet label portion with adhesive included on a surface. The label portion further includes one or more fold lines that define upper and lower adjacent print panels, both of which can receive printable indicia. A score line is placed in the label portion to define a mount region, a printable surface region and a pull tab region. The pull tab region is disposed between the mount region and the printable surface region, and includes a pull tab with at least one layer of adhesive so that, upon folding of the label portion along the one or more fold lines, the pull tab becomes multi-layered for increased strength and durability.

Abstract: A template sheet forming postal meter labels or combination postal meter/address labels are described upon which postal indicia can be printed, by a non-impact printer, less than one-quarter inch from the edge of the label. The sheet includes a plurality of removably affixed meter tape or meter tape/address labels positioned in an off-set configuration on one face of a laminated sheet. The combination meter tape/address labels are self-aligning for conforming to United States Postal Service IBIP specifications.

Abstract: An improved file folder specially adapted to conventional printers and optical scanners and a system and method for printing and using the improved folder. The improved folder has an enclosure for holding documents and printable panels with an integrated tab and integrated document labels. The folder panels, integrated tab and labels are printed with machine-readable identifying indicia and text in one pass through a standard printer. The tab is foldable such that folder identifying indicia and text are visible from either the front or back side of the folder. After printing, the documents labels are removeable and affixable to the folder documents. Images of the folder documents are captured with a standard optical scanner which also reads the document identifying indicia printed on the labels. The document images form a database indexed according to the indicia printed on the document labels.

Abstract: A planar form or structure is used to create a thin card capable of receiving and retaining printed indicia, including written signatures, on both opposing surfaces. The structure and related method allow the exposed carrier surface and the underlying release agent layer to receive and retain printed indicia, including written signatures, while retaining an extremely thin, yet tear-resistant, card structure. The release agent layer solidifies from a liquid to form a film capable of receiving and retaining printed indicia, written signatures, and the like which may be printed or written upon through the peeling away of the transparent lamina layer to expose the underlying release agent layer for receiving the indicia. The resulting structure preferably exhibits a flexibility due to its thickness lying within the range of 15-30 microns plus the thickness of the carrier.

One or more lines of weakness may be formed in the strips, for example by perforation or crimping, to facilitate folding of a part of the strip against the remainder of the strip, and a releasable fastening may be provided to retain that part in the folded condition. There are also provided a method of forming the promotional display structure, and a method of disassembly thereof.

The form comprises a base paper layer having top and bottom surfaces and a periphery, a primary film layer having top and bottom surfaces and a periphery, a breakaway layer coated on the top surface within the periphery of the primary film layer, and an adhesive layer wherein the breakaway layer is adhesively secured to the bottom of the secondary film layer, at least one die cut through the top and bottom surfaces within the periphery of the form layer, through the adhesive layer, and through the breakaway layer. The die cut base paper layer, adhesive layer and breakaway layer comprise an information card wherein the breakaway layer has a greater affinity for the adhesive layer than the top surface of the primary film layer such that when the information card is removed from the form, the breakaway layer stays adhered to the bottom surface of the base paper layer.

The card (3) is a punched product which is held in the form (1) by the substrate layer (21). The peeling adhesive layer (22) has its normal properties with respect to the substrate layer (21)—when separated from it upon detaching the card (3), it (22) stays with the card (3). As the surface layer of the detached card (3), it can be written or printed upon, even if the back of the card is plasticized by a film (23) embedded in the substrate material. The writing or imprint can no longer easily be modified through the peeling adhesive layer (22). This makes the card considerably more tamper-proof than earlier cards.

Abstract: A form, such as a mailing form, constructed on a single laminated sheet of standard paper size, which is printable by a single pass through a standard non-impact printer, and extendible to provide additional surface area for the form exceeding standard paper size. The extendible form can be adapted for use with mailing forms such as multi-part collated unit sets. The form is useful for providing a Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note having each part printable by a single pass through a non-impact printer.
