  • Publication number: 20090315317
Abstract: A label is provided having three parts separated by separation lines. Two of the three parts have pull tabs to allow them to be easily removed. The third part is a narrow strip between the separation lines that does not have a pull tab. When the label parts that have pull tabs are lifted off a product, the label separates at the separation lines, leaving the third narrow strip on the product. This narrow strip is then removed with a scraping action that tends to destroy the narrow strip. This makes it difficult to reconstruct the label after it has been removed from a product. In other embodiments, the label has two parts made of material that stretches when the parts are removed from a product. The stretching distorts a barcode graphic printed on the label making the barcode unreadable.

Abstract: One reading sensor is used to read identification mark information, to decide whether a product is genuine. Identification marks each having sensitivity adjustment for the reading sensor and specific mark information are printed on a sheet of release coated paper. The sensitivity adjustment for the reading sensor is performed by utilizing information on a density acquired by reading the identification mark. By combining pieces of density information on a plurality of marks that constitutes the identification mark, mark information is generated. This mark information is checked against saved mark information. In this case, by utilizing the identification mark in which the plurality of identical marks are sequentially shifted in a traveling direction, even a reading sensor constituted of a single light-emitting element and a single photoreceptor element can acquire the mark information on the identification marks.

Abstract: Methods and systems for producing shipping labels are provided. Example embodiments provide a Shipping Label Production System (“SLPS”), which produces shipping labels based on a shipping uniform resource identifier (“URI”) that identifies a shipping protocol and includes shipment information and post-back information. The SLPS may be configured to produce, in accordance with the shipping protocol, a shipping label by outputting a shipping label based on the shipment information, and automatically posting information about the producing of the shipping label to a code module identified by the post-back information. In some embodiments, the actions of the SLPS may be initiated by a Web browser in response to a user selection of a shipping URI. This abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an abstract, and it is submitted with the intention that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 7534476
Abstract: A label badge sheet construction including a facestock sheet releasably adhered to a liner sheet. A weakened separation line in the facestock sheet defines at least one label. After the sheet construction has been passed through a printer or copier and desired indicia printed on the at least one label the printed label can be removed to be used as a visitor's badge or the like. Preferably, first and second labels are formed with a fold line separating them, and a weakened separation line through the liner sheet forms a liner panel which is adhered to the back of the first label. With the first and second labels and the liner panel removed as a label assembly and the labels folded on the fold line, through-holes through the first and second labels and the liner panel are aligned. A lanyard or clip can be passed through the aligned through-holes. The liner panel thereby reinforces the through-holes.

Abstract: A patient wristband form has a transparent ply with an upper surface and a lower surface, and a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the lower surface. A release ply has an upper surface and a lower surface, with a release coating on the upper surface. The transparent ply is removably mounted on the upper surface of the release ply by the pressure sensitive adhesive coating. A die cut in the transparent ply defines an elongated wristband. An opaque coating is provided on the upper surface of the transparent ply in a central portion of the elongated wristband. A die cut in the transparent ply defines an overlaminate label that is sized to cover at least a part of the central portion of the elongated wristband, thereby covering indicia printed on the opaque coating. A paper ply may also be mounted on the release ply by pressure sensitive adhesive. The paper ply defines a plurality of labels that may be printed at the same time as the wristband.

Abstract: A strip-shaped label has a transparent plastic film layer partially covered by an opaque film layer. A window area not covered by the opaque film layer remains. The film layers are bonded to one another using an adhesive layer. Before attachment, the label is positioned on a carrier. A bow-shaped suspension tab is produced through punching, on whose bottom non-adhesive areas are provided, which allow a suspension tab to be pulled out of the label plane easily for suspension of the container. Two printed voucher sections are implemented in the opaque label film. The transparent film layer has an adhesive-repellent coating, which is also transparent, below the voucher sections. In the stuck-on state, the label area in which the voucher sections are positioned overlap the transparent window area. After removal of one of the voucher sections, the window area is visible and the container contents may be viewed.
