Abstract: A device is formed that will accept or itself be a component to be inserted into and removably secured in a bore, the device being a cup shaped housing with a cylindrical wall and a floor in which there may be a central opening, the open end of the housing has an inner chamfer and an outer chamfer and an outwardly protruding ridge extending around the open end, and the device is used by inserting into a bore, with or without a separate component secured inside the housing, and forcing the ridge to expand into the bore wall by way of a tool having an outer conical surface corresponding to the inner chamfer, after which the housing can be removed by forcing the open end and ridge to compact by way of a tool having an inner conical surface corresponding to the housing outer chamfer.
Abstract: A system and method of making a forged part. A flange may be forged between first and second ends of the part by actuating an upset punch against a second end of the tube that is disposed opposite the first end. The flange may extend away from an axis along which an upset punch is actuated.
Abstract: A screw connection device for fluid lines having a coupling nut with an interior space and having an internal threading running over the circumference of the interior space, as well as having a connecting element with an external threading. A line end of a fluid line is accommodated in the coupling nut, wherein the line end exhibits an end shape. When the internal threading of the coupling nut is screwed to the external threading of the connecting element, a locating surface disposed in the interior space of the coupling nut is moved toward the back end of the end shape, or vice versa, respectively. A spring element is disposed between the locating surface and the back end of the end shape, running over the circumference of the fluid line.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a fitting or other fluid conduit for a piping system are provided. In at least one embodiment, a fitting comprises a body including a first portion and a second portion, and a barrier positioned between the first and second portions. In various embodiments, the first portion includes a first inner surface that defines a first opening that is sized and configured to receive a first piping system component. The first piping system component may be secured to the first portion by a securing liquid, such as a solvent cement. Further, in various embodiments, the second portion includes a second inner surface defining a second opening that is sized and configured to receive a second piping system component. In various embodiments, the barrier, such as a lip, for example, may be positioned between the first inner surface and the second inner surface, and the barrier may at least partially define a reservoir with an open side facing the first portion.
