Including Swivel Patents (Class 285/153.1)
  • Patent number: 9681029
Abstract: A camera mount is configured to attach a camera to a mount base which, in turn, may be secured to sport equipment, musical instruments, vehicles, and the like. The camera mount includes a ball component that couples to a camera or camera housing and that allows a user to rotate a camera within a horizontal plane, and to pivot a camera in one or more vertical planes. The ball component is securely coupled within a sleeve component with a bucket or other coupling mechanism that allows the sleeve component (and thereby the ball component and coupled camera or camera housing) to couple to the mount base.

  • Patent number: 9115518
Abstract: A device for transmitting at least one of electrical energy and electrical signals from a wall to a swivellable element fastened on the wall so as to be hinged about a hinge axis includes a wall part fastened to the wall, a swivellable-element part fastened on the swivellable-element, and a displacement drive. The swivellable-element part comprises an energy and/or signal transmitter comprising a wall-transmitter part arranged in the wall part and a swivellable-element-transmitter part arranged in the swivellable-element part. At least one of the wall-transmitter part and the swivellable-element-transmitter part are arranged so as to be displaceable in a direction of the hinge axis. The displacement drive is selectively actuatable. The displacement drive is operatively connected to at least one of the wall-transmitter part and a swivellable-element-transmitter part.

  • Publication number: 20140265308
Abstract: A backshell includes a cable-receiving portion presenting a front end, a rear end, and a first longitudinal axis; a connector portion presenting a front end, a rear end, and a second longitudinal axis; and a swivel joint operably coupling the front end of the cable-receiving portion with the rear end of said connector portion and operable to permit selective relative movement between the cable-receiving portion and the connector portion such that they may assume different relative positions with the longitudinal axes thereof at correspondingly different angles.

  • Publication number: 20140175792
Abstract: A coupling assembly includes a first member having a male mating portion and a first conduit receiving portion and a second member having a female mating portion and a second conduit receiving portion, wherein the male mating portion is engaged with the female mating portion to prevent disassociation of the first member and the second member while permitting free rotation of the first member and the second member with respect to each other. A method of coupling a first conduit and a second conduit includes providing a first coupling member having a first mating portion and a second coupling member having a second mating portion, and compression fitting the first mating portion with the second mating portion to prevent disassociation of the first member and the second member while permitting relative rotation of the first member and the second member with respect to each other.

  • Publication number: 20120150351
Abstract: A ball joint (1) is provided having a ball housing (10) that defines a socket (11), and a ball pivot (20) with a ball head (22) and ball pin (24), where the ball head (22) is disposed in the socket (11). A ball housing passageway (14) passes through the ball housing (10); a ball pin passageway (25) passes through the ball pin (24), and a ball head passageway (23) passes through the ball head (22). The ball pin passageway (25), ball head passageway (23) and ball housing passageway (14) are in communication with each other for routing a cable (2) through the ball joint (1). A limiter (50) may extend from an internal surface (12) of the socket (11) having a passageway (52) connected to the ball housing passageway (14). The limiter (50) prevents unlimited spinning of the ball head (22) within the socket (11).

  • Patent number: 7658418
Abstract: A swivel coupling for electrical conduit is formed of a pair of arcuate tubular sections joined together at a pair of connecting flanges. A liquid tight seal is provided by an O-ring which seats in registered annular grooves in the face of each flange. A coupling nut tightens the flanges against one another. Formed at the end of one of the sections is a junction box fitting including a threaded nipple which is inserted through an opening of the junction box until a stop nut, positioned on the nipple, engages the box. A tightening nut is engaged over the nipple from the interior of the junction box to secure the swivel coupling to the box. The end of the other tubular section includes a conduit fitting for securing a length of electrical conduit. Because the stop nut is installed after the coupling nut has been advanced past the nipple, a reduced diameter coupling nut may be employed.

  • Publication number: 20080203726
Abstract: The cable hose 30 and hose 20 are designed for use in a system where the handset dispenser 10 is remote from the metering and pumping function. As the user dispenses oil or other fluids, data is transmitted by a communication wire 30 that runs inside the hose 20 that transports the fluid. The power to energize the components is also transmitted through the same wire 30. A swivel 36 is designed for use with this hose 20 and cable 30 so as to limit rotation to less than 360 degrees thereby preventing damage to the cable 30 from excessive twisting. A barbed swivel fitting 38 attaches to the hose 20 and is provided with a partial circumferential groove 40 which extends around the fitting 38 less than 360 degrees and provides a physical barrier preventing rotation beyond the desired amount.
