  • Patent number: 8747105
Abstract: An insert tube is used for the repair or improvement of a pre-heating tube for air arranged in an exhaust gas pathway of a fuel burner. A pre-determined radial gap exists between the outer surface of the insert tube and the inner surface of the pre-heating tube for air such that the insert tube can be slid into the pre-heating tube for air. The insert tube is provided in the vicinity of each end with at least one groove that runs around its circumference. In the groove there is arranged at least one sealing ring of an elastic material. The sealing ring mounted in the groove has an external diameter that exceeds the internal diameter of the preheating tube for air. The sealing ring forms a seal against the inner surface of the pre-heating tube for air and prevents leakage through the sealing ring.

  • Patent number: 8250682
Abstract: A pool and spa plumbing adapter to relocate existing directional water flow plumbing fittings to new positions to accommodate new surfacing overlaid on the existing pool or spa surface. The adapter provides for a threaded engagement with existing plumbing and has a shoulder portion providing a visual cue for proper rotational translation of the adapter into the existing plumbing fitting to accommodate the new surface layer. A sealing ring can be provided extending above the shoulder portion to prevent fluid passage between the new surface and the adapter and to prevent rotation of the adapter.

Abstract: A magnetic docking apparatus includes a support member having an electromagnet attached thereto. The support member includes a fastener for attaching the magnetic docking apparatus to a vessel. The support member and the fastener cooperate to position the electromagnet external to the vessel. When the vessel is positioned proximate a docking point that includes a ferrous object, the magnetic docking apparatus is operable to energize the electromagnet. When energized the electromagnet creates a magnetic attraction between itself and the ferrous object, and the magnetic attraction causes the vessel to be held at the docking point. The electromagnet is also operable to be de-energized to release the vessel from the docking point. In another aspect of the present invention, a method includes attaching a magnetic docking apparatus to a vessel. The magnetic docking apparatus includes a support member having an electromagnet attached thereto.

  • Publication number: 20020130515
Abstract: An cylindrical convex portion of which opposite ends are open is integrally formed onto a fuel tank made of RDPE therewith so as to inwardly extend in the fuel tank, to provide an opening thereon. A press-fit portion of a filler hose connecting pipe made of PA as a tubular member is press-fitted in the cylindrical convex portion to connecting the tubular member to the fuel tank. At least one annular projection is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the press-fit portion of the tubular member so as to bite in the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical connvex portion. A face of the annular projection in direction axially of one end of tubular member is formed so as to extend outwardly and inclinedly with respect to the axial direction of the tubular member form one end toward the other end thereof.

  • Patent number: 5560163
Abstract: A device for interconnecting drainage conduits that have been stabilized while forming building footings includes an annular disk and a cylindrical hub extending outwardly from and about the opening. A stop formed in the hub limits the insertion of the drain tile. A nub on the cylindrical hub prevents lateral movement of the device when the footing forms are removed. Breakaway fasteners are used to hold the device to the footing form. Drainage connectors interconnect with other conduit and connectors connected to other devices to form a network for routing moisture to a desired located.

  • Patent number: 5482329
Abstract: An adaptor for extending a pipe through a barrier and securing the pipe therein which comprises a pipe segment having a leading end for insertion through the barrier and a trailing end to remain at the insertion side of the barrier upon insertion of the adaptor, each end being adapted to receive a pipe fitting. The leading end is provided with peripheral cutting teeth for boring a hole through and thereby penetrating the barrier upon rotation of the pipe around its longitudinal axis. An externally threaded section along the pipe is sized and configured to be self-threaded though the hole bored by the penetration end to secure the pipe therein and a stop is located toward the trailing end from the threaded section to engaging the outer surface of the barrier to stop further penetration of the adaptor. An installation tool which may be rotationally driven by a hand drill is also provided.
