With Rotation Limits Patents (Class 285/282)
  • Patent number: 4121280
Abstract: A wall mountable light fixture with a dimmer for controlling luminescence and having a plurality of articulated arms that are movable between a retracted position adjacent the wall and an extended position outwardly of the wall. The arms are interconnected by swivel joints, each of which includes a pair of rotatable cooperating members that are juxtaposed in mating relationship. The mating face of each rotatable member is formed with an arcuately disposed race of predetermined length. A ball received within a channel formed by the races of juxtaposed rotatable members constrains the swivel joint to a maximum rotation of one revolution.

  • Patent number: 4116386
Abstract: There is disclosed a spray nozzle head for spraying of pressured liquid such as airless spraying and the like which is constructed with a minimal number of parts and which provides for facile reversal of the spray orifice in the head, thereby permitting the orifice to be cleaned by the liquid pressure. The spray nozzle comprises a body with a longitudinal through passageway and a cylindrical through bore orthogonal to and intersecting the through passageway. A cylindrical turret member which carries a removable orifice spray tip is seated in the through bore and is restrained therein by a detent which permits rotation of the turret member through at least 180.degree. for reversing the direction of the orifice spray tip. The turret member is sealed by a single seal washer that is biased against the turret member by an adaptor threaded into an internally threaded counterbore in the longitudinal through passageway of the body.

  • Patent number: 4048267
Abstract: The downcomer through which air is supplied to a header for liberation of air deep in an aeration tank is of straight-line nature to minimize constant waste of power due to air flow friction. The downcomer nevertheless folds when the header is to be raised for inspection or servicing. The folding axis is external of the downcomer, which breaks open as the folding action starts. In one form the header is straight while initially raised, hanging from a first hoist cable, and then as the lower section is raised further by a second cable the upper section is allowed to fold over. In another form, the folding progresses as the structure is raised, the upper section being hinged to the air supply fitting.

  • Patent number: 4008910
Abstract: A high reliability universal electrical swivel fabricated of insulative material virtually impervious to moisture or corrosive acid or alkaline vapors and having substantial flexural elasticity provides a conduit for an electrical conductor rotatable and tiltable about orthogonal axes. The swivel is adapted to retain its fixed position notwithstanding severe vibration and shock. Novel design minimizes stress on the internal conductor and its insulation thus minimizing the possibility of internal short circuits. The swivel components are especially adapted for economical mass manufacture and assembly.

  • Patent number: 4002357
Abstract: A mechanical support for a short flexible hose section including a rigid L-shaped bracket having an upright leg to an upper end of which is rigidly secured a short rigid conduit section, which is disposed crosswise of said leg and to an inner end of which is secured one end of a flexible hose. The other lower horizontal leg of said bracket, which extends under said flexible hose, terminates in an upright bearing sleeve which rotatively receives a pivot pin. One end of a rigid arm, constituting the other section of said mechanical support, has one end secured to the upper end of said pivot pin for swingably supporting the arm relative to said bracket. A second short conduit section is rigidly secured to the other upturned end of said arm. The other end of said flexible hose is secured to the inner end of said last mentioned rigid conduit section.

  • Patent number: 3957291
Abstract: A multi-passage ball joint assembly for connecting a riser or similar pipe to a well pipe therebelow and adapted primarily for use in underwater installations. The ball member of the joint assembly has a main longitudinal bore or passage through which well operations may be conducted and additionally is formed with at least one other passage for conducting fluid therethrough. The housing of the joint assembly includes passageways which are in communication with the bore and passages extending through the ball member in all positions of said ball member relative to the housing whereby fluid may be conducted downwardly through the ball joint for actuating devices therebelow or for other purposes. This abstract is neither intended to define the invention of the application which, of course, is measured by the claims, nor is it intended to be limiting as to the scope of the invention in any way.
