  • Patent number: 9327893
Abstract: A sanitary fitting has a flange portion, a connector portion, and a parabolic entrance disposed therebetween. The flange portion has a planar ring surface that defines a central opening. The connector portion defines a lumen extending from the central opening toward an outlet port. The parabolic entrance surface extends from the planar ring surface and transitions into the connector portion to define a portion of the lumen. One or more suction-relief ribs may be arranged along the surface of the flange portion and extend into the parabolic entrance. The suction-relief ribs may have a twisting curvature for causing rotation of fluid flow through the sanitary fitting.

  • Patent number: 9157401
Abstract: An apparatus for coupling components in a fuel delivery system together is presented. The apparatus comprises a first member having a first end, a second end, and throughgoing passageway therebetween. The apparatus further comprises a second member having a throughgoing bore therein. The throughgoing bore is configured to receive the first end of the first member. The first and second members of the apparatus are configured to be affixed together to create a joint between the first end of the first member and the inner wall of the bore of the second member such that the passageway and the bore are in substantial alignment with each other.

  • Patent number: 7708319
Abstract: A piping joint that enables welding without back shielding and without oxidized scaling on the pipe's inner surface. A piping joint has an inner fitting portion formed around the circumference of an end of a first tubular material, and a first bevel is formed on the radial outside of the inner fitting portion around the circumference. An outer fitting portion, fitted to the radial outside of the inner fitting portion, is formed on the end of a second tubular material butt welded to the first tubular material, and a second bevel is formed around the circumference at the end of the outer fitting portion facing the first bevel. The cross-section of the face of the inner fitting portion located on the radial outside, and the cross-section of the face of the outer fitting portion located on the radial inside, are completely round with a constant circumferential curvature.

  • Publication number: 20090206597
Abstract: A resistance pressure welding device includes a mounting to support a flange and at least one exhaust pipe to be welded to the flange and arranged in a flange opening of the flange, with the exhaust pipe having an end in the form of an outwardly directed collar. The collar is pressed against the flange by an inner electrode which is movable in an axial direction of the exhaust pipe to press. An outer electrode is placed in spaced-apart surrounding relationship to the inner electrode, and movable in the axial direction of the exhaust pipe against the flange from the same side as the inner electrode so that the welding current can be conducted across the contact surfaces of the collar and the flange.

  • Patent number: 7445248
Abstract: A joint is provided permitting relative radial and axial movement between a first wall thermally expanding at a first amount and a second wall thermally expanding at a second amount. The joint includes a first fixed connection between a first edge of the second wall and the first wall. The joint also includes an endplate including a first edge and a second fixed connection between a second edge of the second wall and the first edge of the endplate. The joint also includes a clip and a third fixed connection between the clip and the first wall. The joint further includes a fourth fixed connection between the clip and the endplate, the clip permitting the relative radial and axial movement.

  • Patent number: 7082960
Abstract: The present invention provides a pipe tapping apparatus to couple new pipes to an existing pipe. The pipe tapping apparatus includes a base pipe, having a saddle-shaped socket part to be in close contact with the main pipe to pass a fluid therein; and a bending part coupled to the saddle-shaped socket part. The pipe tapping apparatus further includes a coupling pipe to be coupled to the sub-pipe extending to a predetermined place in which the supplied fluid is used, with a ball valve provided in the coupling pipe to control the flow of fluid passing through the coupling pipe. The pipe tapping apparatus further includes an electric heat-welding pipe to couple the coupling pipe to the base pipe. The electric heat-welding pipe has a first heating wire which is provided in the electric heat-welding pipe to weld the electric heat-welding pipe to the base pipe, and a second heating wire which is provided in the electric heat-welding pipe to integrate the coupling pipe with the electric heat-welding pipe.

  • Patent number: 6902202
Abstract: A method and a device for connecting parts of an exhaust gas system which comprises at least one metal tube formed from a bellows and optionally further parts disposed coaxially within and/or outside of the bellows and at least one further system part to be connected to the metal tube, are characterized in that one end of a short connecting tube is inserted positively in an end of the metal tube and the other end is inserted positively in the system part to be connected to the metal tube, and the system part is moved to the end of the metal tube facing the system part, thereby leaving a gap, and the system part, the connecting tube and the metal tube being connected from the outside in one working step.

  • Patent number: 6375228
Abstract: A concrete flow line made up of a plurality of end to end pipe sections with pipes connected to each other by a coupling assembly provides for carrying abrasive fluid concrete to a deposit site. The coupling assembly includes an insulating thin sleeve slid over the connecting end of the pipe and spaced from the pipe to form a heat insulating air space therebetween. The thin sleeve is welded to the pipe prior to the hardening of the pipe. After the sleeve is welded in place the inner wall of the pipe is hardened using an induction coil for concentrating of the heat within the inner wall portion in combination with a quenching unit to affect the desired hardening while maintaining an outer ductile wall portion to which the sleeve has been actually welded. A clamping collar or coupler is welded to the sleeve after hardening and forms a connecting end for receiving of a clamp unit which interconnects the adjacent pipe and pipe sections.
