  • Patent number: 7604262
Abstract: A sealing arrangement for a hydraulic plug-in connection for use in particular in the motor vehicle industry for hydraulic clutch and brake systems is fitted on a hydraulic plug-in connection and has a socket and a plug-in fitting which can be connected thereto. The plug-in fitting is attached to a hydraulic tube. The plug-in fitting has a sleeve and a sealing element fixed thereto, which seals off the plug-in connection both from the hydraulic tube and from the exterior of the socket. The sealing element and the end of the sleeve which receives the sealing element are designed so as to be able to install the sealing arrangement without it being possible for the sealing element to be separated axially from the sleeve when the plug-in connection is released.

  • Patent number: 7552949
Abstract: A joint restraint includes a split ring terminating in radially outwardly extending flanges. A shell includes a cylindrical sleeve, an annular flange at one end and arms projecting generally tangentially for securement behind lugs on a standard bell end of a fitting. With the split ring disposed within the shell and flanges projecting through a radial opening through the shell, a pipe end may be inserted through the joint restraint into the bell. By compressing the split ring about the pipe end by drawing the flanges toward one another and bolting them in place, relative axial movement of the pipe end and fitting is precluded by engagement of the shell flange and split ring.

  • Patent number: 7464971
Abstract: Pipe fittings, used in joining abutting ends of two pipe sections, comprise a pair of semi-cylindrical members that are adapted to fit around and engage the periphery of opposed ends of the two abutting ends of the pipe sections. Longitudinal edges of the two semi-cylindrical members are formed so as to mate with one another to form a mechanical means of locking the semi-cylindrical members together in tight engagement with the ends of the pipes. Each of the semicylindrical members has a seal mechanism formed of a resilient, elastomeric material which forms a mechanical, water-tight seal between the mutually respective pair of semi-cylindrical members as well as the opposite ends of the pipes to which the pair of semi-cylindrical members have been attached.

  • Patent number: 7390031
Abstract: A coupling device for releasably interconnecting conduit elements includes two coupling members, each having a central opening therethrough. A tapered pocket is defined in one coupling member to act as a seat for slidingly receiving the other coupling member, which is in the form of a wedge-like element. An alignment mechanism ensures complete engagement between the two coupling members. Two annular grooves are disposed opposite each other about the central openings of the respective coupling members. A gasket is disposed in one of the grooves for engaging the opposite groove when the coupling members are fully interengaged. The gasket has a first annular portion of a compressible resilient material for positioning in one annular groove, and a second annular portion extending from the first annular portion, of a less compressible material, for compression into the first annular gasket portion as the coupling members are being interengaged.
