Elastomeric Patents (Class 285/334.3)
  • Patent number: 9957148
Abstract: A flexible pouch with a tube spout fitment and removable cap. The flexible pouch has a panel with an aperture and a tube spout fitment that extends through the aperture. The tube spout fitment has a first circumferential ridge with a first diameter and a second circumferential ridge with a second diameter. Also, the second diameter is larger than the first diameter. A dispensing cap is attached to the tube spout fitment. The dispensing cap has a first temporary snap position fitting over the first circumferential ridge of the tube spout fitment and a second permanent snap position fitting over the second circumferential ridge. In this manner, the dispensing cap can be temporarily attached to the pouch during storage, shipping and the like, removed prior to filling the flexible pouch with product, and then permanently attached after the pouch has been filled with product.

  • Patent number: 9027967
Abstract: A fluidic component is arranged in an elastomeric shaped part the contour of which is matched to the outer contour of the component and to the inner contour of a holder. The elastomeric shaped part is chamfered towards the fluidic component on its pressure side. When the holder is assembled the elastomeric shaped part is deformed by a projection provided on a mating part and is put under uniformly distributed internal tension, after which the elastomeric shaped part surrounds the fluidic component to its full height.

  • Patent number: 8496273
Abstract: An improved reemployable tubular connection system and method for oil field application disposes an axially asymmetric seal in a coupling sleeve interconnecting the oppositely entered pin ends of two tubing sections. The sleeve includes an approximately central interior surface for seating a deformable seal having oppositely directed tapered edges with different angles of convergence. The pin ends enter into and resiliently displace the edges of the seal, which may be made differentially adhesive so that a tubing connection may be broken and remade a number of times.

  • Patent number: 7918486
Abstract: A connector seal device for connecting a branch pipe to a transverse opening of a main pipe, including a hollow elastomer insert of a first material and a pipe union of a harder second material. The elastomer insert may include a flexible support collar, a sealing wall region with a tapered inside surface having first locking ring zones, and an outside surface adapted to fit the transverse opening. The pipe union may include an engagement end with a tapered outside surface having second locking ring zones. The pipe union may include a socket end adapted to cooperate with the branch pipe. When the elastomer insert is inserted into the transverse opening and the pipe union is pushed into the elastomer insert, the first and second locking ring zones engage in the manner of ratchet teeth to press the elastomer insert against the transverse opening.

  • Publication number: 20090026757
Abstract: An improved gas riser assembly for transmitting gas from an underground gas service line to a meter manifold includes an elongated plastic tube having a first end and a second end. The first end is adapted to be connected below ground to the underground gas service line and the second end is adapted to be disposed above ground. A protective casing is annularly received about the elongated plastic tube. The protective casing has a first end adapted to be disposed below ground and a second end disposed above ground. An adapter is sealingly connected to the second end of the elongated plastic tube for fluidly connecting the elongated plastic tube to the meter manifold. The adapter is also sealingly and weldiessly connected to the second end of the protective casing. To assemble the gas riser, an insert member of the adapter is connected to the second end of the elongated plastic tube.

  • Publication number: 20080001403
Abstract: A snap-lock bushing is provided for use with prepacked screens for monitoring wells. The bushing has an inner bore for sliding over a tubular well casing member and a raised lip protruding from the inner bore for engaging corresponding grooves at each end of the well casing member. The raised lip includes a plurality of lip segments with gaps or slots formed between the lip segments, which allow the raised lip to flex outward during assembly. A prepacked screen is assembled using a snap-lock bushing at each end of the well casing member. A mesh screen is placed in a concentric relationship around the well casing member with the ends of the mesh screen secured over the outer cylindrical surfaces of the bushings. A filter pack of granular material is placed in the concentric space between the well casing member and the screen member during assembly.

  • Patent number: 6454313
Abstract: A connector for coupling pipe sections which may be either aligned or misaligned axially, the connector having a male fitting, a female fitting which mates with the male fitting and a retaining means which can be connected to the female fitting to hold the male fitting in place against the female fitting. In one embodiment, the retaining means comprises a hammer nut which has a retaining surface. The retaining surface of the hammer nut contacts a rear surface of a first one of the flanges for urging this flange forward. The hammer nut has threads which are complementary to a set of threads on the second flange. When the hammer nut is threaded onto the second flange, the first and second flanges are pulled together. The retaining surface of the hammer nut and the rear surface of the first flange have complementary spherical shapes so that the hammer nut can rotate and swivel with respect to the flange.
