Abstract: A rapid leakage-proof structure for tubes covers an outer surface of a tube and contains an inner soft layer with a first hardness attached to the outer surface of the tube, an outer hard layer with a second hardness covering a surface at one side of the inner soft layer that is far away from the tube, and a clamping assembly. The first hardness is smaller than 60 degrees at Shore Hardness, and the second hardness is greater than the first hardness. The clamping assembly is disposed at one side of the outer hard layer that is far away from the tube to clamp the tube via the outer hard layer and inner soft layer. Thereby, the inner soft layer covers the surface of the tube to obtain high sealing, and the outer hard layer then covers the inner soft layer to prevent leakage caused by insufficient sealing pressure.

Specifically, the present invention relates to a sheet composition for pipe connection which comprises 1 to 10 parts by weight of a masterbatch including low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, a maleic anhydride graft copolymer, a metallocene polyethylene elastomer, a foaming agent, and an additive, based on 100 parts by weight of a base resin including low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, a maleic anhydride graft copolymer, and a metallocene polyethylene elastomer. When using the composition according to the present invention, a non-foamed sheet is produced during melt extrusion, and a foamed sheet is obtained at a high temperature by laminating the non-foamed sheet with a heater line and applying electricity thereto. The anchoring arrangement comprises a tubular casing (10), a frusto-conical gripping ring (40) with inwardly projecting gripping teeth 42 and tensioning bolts (17) for tightening the casing (10) about the frusto-conical gripping ring (40). The frusto-conical gripping ring (40) is formed of a plurality of arcuate segments (40a) and (40b) which overlap to form a complete ring. By forming the gripping ring of segments, the gripping ring is able to adapt to pipes that are not truly circular in cross section and a better grip on the pipe may be achieved than with a single-piece gripping ring.

Abstract: An arrangement for fixing two concentric tubes (1, 2) together by means of one or more pressure inducing members, preferably each formed as a pad (6); the member acts to press the tubes together; a support (3), preferably formed as a collar fixed inside the outer tube (1), is provided opposite the or each location of the or each member. The support is designed to maintain the circularity of the inner tube so that it can be readily withdrawn from the outer tube without jamming. This is useful for off-shore installations.

Abstract: Fire sprinkler system comprising a network of CPVC pipe lengths in which at least some of the pipe lengths are interconnected with mechanical devices having resilient sealing members that are chemically compatible with the CPVC composition. Repairs and system modifications can be made without the use of solvent cement. In-line joints are formed with a coupling device including a pair of arcuate coupling segments having a first end, a second end, and an interior concave surface extending between the first end and the second end. A longitudinal channel extends along the concave surface. At least one mechanical fastener is operative to detachably connect the pair of coupling segments. A resilient annular seal is located within the longitudinal channel of each segment. A branching device connects a branch pipe to a main pipe through an orifice in the main pipe utilizing a saddle-like sealing member. The pipe assemblies are able to pass UL testing protocols for wet fire sprinkler systems.

Abstract: A hose coupling for use in vehicle air conditioning (“A/C”) systems comprises a nipple at the end of a metal tube, a tubular seal insert, and a crimp collar. The seal insert includes a tubular retainer and at least one annular sealing element made of elastomeric material integrally joined to the retainer. The sealing element protrudes radially inwardly from an inner diameter surface of the retainer such that when the sealing element is telescoped over the nipple, the sealing element will effect a seal with an outer diameter surface of the nipple. The sealing element also protrudes radially outwardly from an outer diameter surface of the retainer such that when an end portion of a hose is telescoped thereover, the sealing element will effect a seal with an inner diameter surface of the hose end portion.
