    Abstract: A connector for use in combination with piping to transform plumbing pipe stub outs to re-sealable leak-proof open or closed stub outs. The connector is an elongated hollow cylindrical brass fitting having first and second ends wherein the first end slides into an open end of a copper stub out pipe and securely attached thereto. The second end of the elongated hollow cylindrical brass fitting has a threaded interior surface that is configured as a female threaded receptor to engage a male threaded plug. The threaded plug removably engages the second end of the elongated hollow cylindrical brass fitting by screwing into or out of the elongated hollow cylindrical brass fitting. The insertion and removal of the threaded plug allows for the drain of debris, pressure testing and inspection of the copper piping throughout a newly constructed building without the traditional cutting and recapping now permanently closed stub outs which may have been bullet stub outs or stub outs that have been soldered closed.

    Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for joining structural units. A structural unit, such as a precast concrete section of pipe, decking, bridge structure, building structure, or pavement, includes a plurality of spaced, longitudinally aligned tubular members. The ends of each structural unit are flush, and the ends of the tubular members are flush with the ends of the structural units. When two of such units are to be joined together, a guide member is inserted in one end of each of the first tubular members in the first structural unit, while an internally threaded insert member is inserted into a corresponding end of each tubular member in the second structural unit. The guide members and insert members have axial apertures with the aperture in the insert member being internally threaded. The two structural units are brought together so that each guide member on the first structural unit enters into the corresponding end of the tubular members containing the inserts in the second structural unit.

There is a sleeve having interior and exterior threads, with the interior threads attaching the sleeve onto the exterior of the adjustable tail and the exterior threads attaching the sleeve into the flush valve threaded inlet.

    Abstract: A structure for connecting a branch pipe in a high-pressure fuel manifold employs a nut to fasten the branch pipe to a main pipe, the nut having threaded surfaces which are simultaneously brought into thread engagement with the branch pipe and a coupling member which is secured to the main pipe in such a manner as to surround the peripheral wall thereof. Therefore, it becomes unnecessary to conduct a welding operation which has heretofore been needed to connect the joint portion of the branch pipe to the main pipe. The connecting structure satisfactorily endures ultra-high fluid pressure even under vibrations. In addition, there is no fear of fuel leaking out through the joint nor risk of the branch pipe coming off.

    Abstract: A fitting for high pressure gas lines and the like includes a fitting member having an internal bore therethrough. The bore has a portion thereof with an acircular cross section in a plane normal to the axis of the bore. The fitting is connected to the end of the conduit tube by sliding the tube into the bore and forcibly inserting an expander member into the inside of the tube. The expander member diametrically enlarges the tube, pushing its wall outwardly against the acircular portion of the bore. The expander member has a central passage therethrough which aligns with the bore and thus permits gas to flow from the tube through the expander member and into a second fitting which is connected to the fitting member.
