Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus which forms a sealed joint between two pipes, particularly but not limited to roofing drain pipes. This apparatus includes a cylindrical body made of rubber or similar material that grips and seals two pipes when it is axially compressed by two halves of an articulated housing as they move towards each other. The two half bodies of the articulated housing are threaded to each other such that when one body is rotated in one direction, the bodies move towards each other, thereby reducing the overall length of the housing, and compressing/deforming the rubber seal.

Abstract: A flange assembly (10) for connecting a plumbing fixture to a drain pipe (106) in a fluid sealing relationship. The flange assembly includes a ring (12), an extension (20), a gasket (24) and a connector pipe (30). The extension extends outward from the top surface (12A) of the ring and the connector pipe extends outward from the bottom surface (12B) of the ring. The gasket is mounted over the end of the extension opposite the ring. The top wall (24A) of the gasket has an opening (26) which allows access to the center bore (22) of the extension. The waste outlet (104) of the plumbing fixture is inserted through the opening (26) in the top wall of the gasket into the center bore of the extension. When the waste outlet is inserted into the opening in the gasket, the gasket forms a seal between the waste outlet and the extension.

Abstract: A toilet mounting assembly for securely and easily mounting a toilet to a structure includes a sealing ring securable to a structure and having either integral threaded rods extending from a main body portion of the sealing ring or threaded rods easily and securely attached to the sealing ring using a tongue and groove. Alternately, the sealing ring may include threaded apertures for receiving specially structured bolts to secure the toilet to the sealing ring.

Abstract: A floor flange apparatus for use with a plumbing fixture positioned on a floor surface includes a conduit section having a fixture end and a drain end and defining a bore therethrough. The conduit section is adapted to be coupled to a drain pipe proximate the drain end and to be coupled to a plumbing fixture proximate the fixture end for draining water from the plumbing fixture. A flange is positioned proximate the fixture end of the conduit, and the flange is configured to engage a plumbing fixture and couple the fixture to the conduit section. Elevation structures extend from the flange and are configured for interfacing with a floor surface to elevate the flange above the floor surface. At least a portion of the elevation structures are removably coupled with the flange for being selectively removed to allow the elevation of the flange to be selected.

Abstract: In connecting a flushing port (2) of a toilet stool (1) which is formed so as to face the floor surface to which the toilet stool (1) is installed to a drainpipe (3) of the building, the connection is made by means of a flushing-side connecting pipe (6) which connects to the flushing port (2), a drain-side connecting pipe (7) which connects to the drainpipe (3), and a linking pipe (8) which makes connection between the above-noted two pipes. In making the pipe connections, the linking pipe (8) is cut off in accordance with the distance between the flushing port (2) and the drainpipe (3) or pipe insertion overlap can be used to adjust the length of the linking pipe (8).

Abstract: A protective cover or cap for connection to a toilet mounting flange installed on a drain or discharge pipe is described. The cover protects the stems of bolts for connecting the flange to the toilet by means of at least two tubular extensions on the cover which surround the bolts and by means of nuts over washers on the bolt stems when the cover is installed on the flange. The cover makes it much easier to align the flange visually with the surrounding walls by means of the tubular extensions for the bolts. In addition, the cover is adapted for hydrostatic testing of the drainage system, prevents any foreign material from entering the discharge pipe and protects the slots and holes in the flange from becoming clogged or filled.

Abstract: A floor-mounted anchor unit for toilets comprising---in association with an upstanding sewer pipe riser set before placement of the floor---a horizontal annular toilet attachment flange on the floor adjacent and in register with such riser, a horizontal annular sub-flange surrounding the riser in spaced relation below the toilet attachment flange and engaged beneath a portion of the floor, and a plurality of vertical, circumferentially spaced screws connected in holding relation between said flanges radially outwardly of the riser; characterized by the toilet attachment flange being initially detached, and means including said screws temporarily assembled with the riser and supporting the sub-flange in position on said riser preparatory to placement of the floor thereabout and over the sub-flange, said means being removable at least in part and with the screws to then permit said connection of said screws between the toilet attachment flange and the sub-flange.
