Patent number: 12110673Abstract: A telescoping toilet mounting assembly and a method for mounting a toilet to a floor and a wastewater pipe. Hollow bolts project from clamping plates to be received through mounting holes in an upper male flange section and through mounting holes of a toilet base. Base bolt nuts are tightened onto the hollow bolts to secure the upper male flange section to the toilet base prior to lowering the toilet and the upper male flange section into engagement with a lower female flange section. Fastening bolt structures with adjustable-length body portions and threaded tips can pass through the hollow bolts and into threaded engagement with mounting members fixed to the lower female flange section fixed to the wastewater pipe and the floor. Alternatively, fastening bolts pass through the hollow bolts and into threaded engagement with upstanding registration and locking rods retained relative to the lower female flange section.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2022Date of Patent: October 8, 2024Inventors: John D. Jackman, Christopher M. Jackman, Brian F. Jackman

Patent number: 10774515Abstract: The elongated toilet flange is configured for use with toilet. The toilet further comprises a discharge port and a DWV floor outlet. The elongated toilet flange forms a fluidic connection between the discharge port and the DWV floor outlet such that biological excretions and eliminations received by the toilet are transferred through the discharge port into the DWV floor outlet. The elongated toilet flange is an irregular disk structure that further comprises a first wing structure and a second wing structure. The first wing structure and the second wing structure form elongated lobes that provide a more secure fluidic connection relative to a traditional circular toilet flange.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2019Date of Patent: September 15, 2020Inventor: Kenny Esquivel

Patent number: 9623787Abstract: A tie-down assembly includes a clamping member configured to engage an accessory track of a vehicle. The clamping member is movable between engaged and disengaged positions. A cleat receives the clamping member and has a first side that engages the accessory track. A shaft of the clamping member passes through the cleat. A tightening member receives a free end of the shaft of the clamping member. The tightening member engages the shaft on a second side of the cleat opposite the first side. An indicator is fixed to the clamping member and is movable with the clamping member between a locked position in which the clamping member is in the engaged position and an unlocked position in which the clamping member is in the disengaged position. The indicator indicates the locked and unlocked positions when viewed from the second side of the cleat.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2015Date of Patent: April 18, 2017Assignee: NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC.Inventor: Shawn Sterling

Patent number: 6581214Abstract: A system utilizing multiple spacer and shim elements that nest together to raise a closet ring to the height required for the particular floor being used in a given application for a toilet bowl installation. The nested spacer and shim elements are placed on the rough floor and receive the closet ring mounting flange. Bosses on an upper side of a lower spacer and shim element are received in detents in a lower side of a corresponding upper spacer and shim element so that the spacer and shim elements are held securely in their nested position so as to form a registered spacer/shim stack. The spacer and shim elements will typically be ¼″ thick. The spacer and shim elements further include breakaway mounting tabs positioned about an outer circumference of the main body of the spacer and shim elements.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2002Date of Patent: June 24, 2003Inventors: Joe A. Patent number: 6464259Abstract: A device for installing a toilet, having a rearwardly extending discharge pipe, on a floor opening, surrounded by a floor ring anchored in the floor and having upright threaded bolts configured to fasten a toilet having a downwardly extending discharge pipe, has a base having an underside configured to be placed onto the floor ring. A U-shaped pipe section having a first end and a second end is provided wherein the first end has a 90° bend section connected to the base. The second end has a diameter matched to a diameter of a rearwardly extending discharge pipe of a toilet to be installed. The 90° bend section has an end portion facing the floor ring, wherein the end portion has a diameter matched to a diameter of the floor ring. The base has securing elements secured to the floor indirectly by the floor ring, the threaded bolts, and the base.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2000Date of Patent: October 15, 2002Assignee: Villeroy & Boch AGInventor: Jörg Krämer

Patent number: 6332632Abstract: A closet flange having a shoulder and a body portion extending therefrom, the body portion having a substantially cylindrical upstream portion and a smooth tapered downstream portion, the downstream portion configured to receive an elastic o-ring. The o-ring travels up the tapered portion as the closet flange is inserted into a drain pipe, providing an increasingly tighter seal between the closet flange and the pipe. O-rings of various outer diameters may be provided to accommodate pipes having different internal diameters. The flange is installed without tools by pushing the flange into the end of the pipe until the desired tightness is achieved.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2000Date of Patent: December 25, 2001Inventor: B.
