Abstract: Seal assembly 100, useful for repairing an uncontrolled surface such as pipeline 110, comprises seal 102 which is subjected to pressure and temperature and remains operable under, e.g., subsea conditions. Seal assembly 100 is capable of sealing pipelines of diameters up to 48 inches. Seal assembly 100 is actuated/energized by axially compressing/loading seal assembly 100 between one or more controlled surfaces and an uncontrolled surface and can be used for repairing and providing sealing in flowline or pipelines of either subsea or other petrochemical industries where the pipelines. Spool assembly 700 comprising seal assembly 100 may be used to repair a damaged pipeline section after the damaged section is removed to provide a sealed replacement fluid path for the pipeline.

Abstract: A fluid delivery system includes a distribution station moveable between a first location and a second location, a pump on the distribution station, at least one manifold on the distribution station and fluidly connected with the pump, a plurality of hoses connected with the at least one manifold, each of the hoses including a tube and a protective sleeve that circumscribes the tube, a plurality of valves on the distribution station, each of the valves situated between the at least one manifold and a respective different one of the hoses, a plurality of fluid level sensors, each of the fluid level sensors being associated a respective different one of the hoses, and a plurality of sensor communication lines. Each of the sensor communication lines is connected or connectable with a respective different one of the fluid level sensors. Each of the sensor communication lines is routed with a respective different one of the hoses.

Abstract: The total volume of fluid in a syringe may not be equal to the total volume of fluid that can be pressed out of the syringe: a dead volume may be left in an arrangement of the syringe and a needle hub provided with the syringe. To reduce the dead volume, a needle hub and syringe arrangement is provided which are shaped complementary to each other. More specifically, a shape of an end-plane of a piston comprised by the syringe is complementary to a shape of a plane in which an opening of a cannula bore of the needle hub is provided. The shapes are such that the volume inside the syringe once occupied by the fluid may be occupied by the piston after fully pressing down on the piston, or only a substantially small volume of fluid may be left between the cannula opening and the syringe.

Abstract: A coupling assembly comprising a socket (10) and an interchangeable ring mounted in the free end of the socket. The ring includes a ring body extending axially between a first, inner face (31) and a second, outer face (32) on the free end of the socket. The ring comprises an external seal (40) on the ring body provided in compression in the socket between the ring and the socket, and an internal seal for sealing between the ring and a pipe to be inserted, the internal seal having a lip which extends between an anchoring end on the second outer face and a free end.

Abstract: A fixing device 101 has a pair of complementary fingers 102,103 complementary pivot formations 121,122. Each has distal portion 104 and a proximal portion 105. Both have a flat surface 106, which abuts the same face in the other finger, both at the distal portions when the fixing is arranged for insertion in an aperture 107 in a board 108 and at the proximal portions when the fingers are arranged both for insertion and gripping of the board. The distal portions each have a surface 111 with an edge 1112 common with the surface 106. This surface 111 comes into abutment with the back face 112 of the board 108. The proximal portion is generally hemispherical to allow rotation within the aperture 107. A lug portion 1161 generally in the direction of the distal portion 104. FIXING DEVICE A fixing device 101 has a pair of complementary fingers 102,103 complementary pivot formations 121,122. Each has distal portion 104 and a proximal portion 105.

Abstract: A quick insertion locking connector is disclosed and includes a female connector body, a receiving joint providing with multiple limiting holes, a sliding sleeve sleeving a first boss provided on an outer wall of the receiving joint, a protective sleeve and a sealing ring. Limiting elements are arranged in the limiting holes. A second boss abuts against the outer wall of the receiving joint. A recess and a boss base extending along inside of the receiving joint are formed on an inner wall of the receiving joint. The sealing ring is arranged on the boss base and extends into the recess. Multiple limiting grooves are circumferentially formed in an outer wall of a male connector body which is configured for being inserted into the receiving joint and abutting against the sealing ring located on the boss base and the sealing ring located in the recess.

Abstract: A tap assembly for dispensing fluid from a flexible container includes a gland for connecting with the container, the gland having an inlet and an outlet. An actuator is in fluid communication with the outlet of the gland, the actuator including a lever, a removable tamper evident tab and a cap, wherein when the tamper evident tab is in position, the actuator is inoperable and the lever and the cap are fixedly joined and wherein, upon removal of the tamper evident tab, the lever is moveable with respect to the cap to dispense fluid from the tap assembly. A connector is latchable with an outlet of the actuator, the connector including an arm to fixedly engage with the lever in a raised position.

Abstract: Devices, methods and systems for at least priming water filters are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, a device includes a barrel portion, a first opening, a handle portion, a second opening, and a bottom surface for engaging objects of various shapes and sizes, wherein at least a portion of the device is able to be rolled back onto itself at least once by a user. In one or more embodiments, a system includes: a device, a water filter and a faucet. In one or more embodiments, a method for using a device includes: operably attaching a water filter to the device, operably attaching the device to a faucet, applying water pressure from the faucet in order to prime the water filter, and observing the effects of water pressure on the device.

Abstract: A sanitary outlet fitting (1) having a fitting body (3), the body interior of which opens into a water outlet (5), with an intermediate holder (2) which (2) is fastenable in the water outlet (5), and with a sanitary insert (6) which is insertable into the end side of the intermediate holder (2), the end side being of open design and being on the outflow side, and is fixable therein. The outlet fitting has, on the inflow side, the intermediate holder (2) connected or connectable to a water hose guided in the tube interior (4) of the fitting body (3).

Abstract: A pull-out faucet includes a faucet spout, a braided hose that is movably disposed in the faucet spout, a coupling member that is disposed in the faucet spout and hermetically connected to an outlet end of the braided hose, and a fixing assembly. The fixing assembly includes a fixing seat disposed in the faucet spout, a first fixing member secured in the fixing seat, and a second fixing member having a magnetic attraction with the first fixing member. The fixing seat has a central first through hole. The second fixing member is installed on the coupling member. The coupling member is attracted and secured on the fixing assembly.

Abstract: A jet regulator having a sleeve-shaped jet regulator housing which is assembleable on the water outlet of a sanitary outlet fitting, and having a wall which supports a perforated structure that forms the outlet end side of the jet regulator and which in the jet regulator housing is pivotable between a use position, in which the perforated structure extends transversely across an outflow-side sleeve opening of the jet regulator housing, and a cleaning position, in which the water flowing through the jet regulator housing can flow out on both sides of the wall through opening gaps formed between the wall and the neighboring housing internal circumferential wall. The wall has a spherical-layer-shaped external circumference and via which it is pivotably mounted in a joint socket provided on the housing internal circumferential wall of the jet regulator housing. A handling element extends from the wall and is latchable on the outflow-side housing end side of the jet regulator housing.

Abstract: A connector for use with a dialyzer to connect a conduit from a dialyzer with a conduit from a dialysate source. The connector includes a sleeve (female component) and a collet (male component). The sleeve has a generally cylindrical shape with an opening at one end having a circular shape with at least one slot positioned along the periphery of the circular shape. The sleeve also includes at least one flexible finger having a barb at a free end. The collet is configured to be housed within an interior chamber of the sleeve and has first and second gaps to house the barbs and first and second deflectable flanges to lock into recesses in a conduit.

Abstract: A detachable faucet connector can be used with a faucet to allow easy connection of hoses to the faucet. The detachable faucet connector can include an aerator, a funnel, and a hose adapter. The aerator can connect to a faucet to replace the faucet's existing aerator. The funnel can be inserted in to the aerator prior to the installation of the aerator in the faucet. The hose adapter can be connected to the funnel. The hose adapter can be attached to a hose.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system, apparatus, and method that allow a football goalpost to be rotated about a substantially vertical axis. In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the football goalpost has a gooseneck-type post adapted to fit within a sleeve in the ground. The sleeve generally has one or more positioning members positioned near an upper end of the sleeve. A rotation collar is movably coupled to the post and has one or more grooves for cooperating with the one or more positioning members of the sleeve. The rotation collar is configured to move between a secured position, where the at least one groove engages the at least one positioning member to prevent the post from rotating within the sleeve, and a rotating position, where the at least one groove is disengaged from the at least one positioning member to permit the post to rotate within the sleeve.

Abstract: A connector is described that comprises a connector body with a connector end extending longitudinally from the connector body. The connector end comprises a generally cylindrical outer surface and a generally cylindrical inner surface. The generally cylindrical outer surface has a protrusion (e.g., a bulbous protrusion) providing a thickened cross-sectional area in the region of the connector end proximate to the protrusion so that the connector end can be connected to a second connector by inserting the second connector into the connector end. The second connector can also comprise a bulbous protrusion, and may be a nebulizer. A tube can be connected to the connector body (e.g., using a threaded connector).

Abstract: A system and method of monitoring and controlling the open and close states of a manifold diaphragm type valve includes using an actuator mechanism with feedback control. A pressure transducer and/or force gauge located on the contact end of the actuator mechanism monitors the pressure and/or force applied to the end of the actuator mechanism. A controller instructs the actuator mechanism to move forward or backward an appropriate distance based on the monitored pressure and/or force. Temperature and pressure changes in the system and material changes to the diaphragm are sensed immediately and positioning correction is applied to the actuator in real-time, thereby maintaining the same valve state while monitoring pressure separately. The linear actuator functions as a ‘smart’ actuator, capable of fine tune adjustments without additional outside monitoring and providing a more accurate and reliable method of closing the valve in a dynamic environment.

Abstract: A coupling device for connecting a water powered apparatus to a faucet having a mouth (1) to which a cylindrical aerator housing (3), has an aerator (2) and an attachment (4) of water powered apparatus. The aerator (2) has an upper cylindrical portion (12) and a lower cylindrical portion (15) that are joined together by converging arms (14) between which the ventilation openings (16) are formed for aerating flowing water. The attachment (4) of water powered apparatus is provided with connecting elements for coupling with engagement elements not integral with the aerator cylindrical housing (3).

Abstract: A coupling device is provided for mounting onto a faucet having an externally threaded portion terminating in a free end. The device includes a pair clam-shell shaped members pivotably connected to each other to form a housing enclosing a tubular connector member having a connector at one end for connection to a hose. A pair of opposed shoes, a washer and a pressure applying member are located within the housing. An actuator lever is coupled to the clam-shells to pivot them with respect to each other into various positions. In one position the shoes are brought into engagement with the externally threaded end portion to mount the coupling device on the faucet. In another position the pressure applying member moves the tubular connector member into engagement with the washer to compress the washer between it and the free end surface of the faucet to couple the faucet to it in a fluid-tight interface.

Abstract: A spout for a tub. The spout for the tub includes a spout body having opposite first and second sides. The spout also includes an inlet portion extending from the first side, where the inlet portion includes an inlet bore and an outlet portion extending from the second side, where the outlet portion includes an outlet bore that is in fluid communication with the inlet bore. The spout further includes an engine configured with waterway geometry, wherein the engine is installed in the spout body through the inlet portion. In addition, the spout body is made of a flexible material.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided through which in one preferred embodiment a faucet attachment adapter includes a seal, a seal housing, an adapter housing and a hose adapter. A first end of the seal is mounted to an interior of the seal housing. A second end of the seal is mounted to an interior of the adapter housing. The adapter housing is free to rotate relative to the seal housing. An end of the seal housing may be placed over a faucet or spigot. Rotation of the second end of the seal relative to the first end of the seal allows the seal to rotate between an open orientation and a sealing orientation around the faucet or spigot. An end of a hose is connectable to the hose adapter. A spray or scrubber attachment may then be connected to the other end of the hose. A locking mechanism may be utilized to prevent unwanted rotation of the adapter housing relative to the seal housing.

Abstract: A fast connector for cleaners, which comprises: a connector body, two positioning pieces, a bottom plate and an water pipe, wherein the connector body has a water through hole in its center and the bottom portion which is expanded and formed into a recessed portion with two first openings. Two positioning pieces are reversely stacked, each having a through slot in its center, a push button at its outside, and a restored spring placed between the inner side surface of the push button and the second opening of the bottom plate which allows the positioning piece to move laterally and in opposite directions. The bottom plate has a through slot in its center, a trough on both sides of the slot, and two second openings for placing the positioning pieces.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided through which in one preferred embodiment a faucet attachment adapter includes a seal, a seal housing, an adapter housing and a hose adapter. A first end of the seal is mounted to an interior of the seal housing. A second end of the seal is mounted to an interior of the adapter housing. The adapter housing is free to rotate relative to the seal housing. An end of the seal housing may be placed over a faucet or spigot. Rotation of the second end of the seal relative to the first end of the seal allows the seal to rotate between an open orientation and a sealing orientation around the faucet or spigot. An end of a hose is connectable to the hose adapter. A spray or scrubber attachment may then be connected to the other end of the hose. A locking mechanism may be utilized to prevent unwanted rotation of the adapter housing relative to the seal housing.

Abstract: An apparatus and method in which an adaptor mechanism that can be coupled with a faucet to permit the faucet to be installed or removed from the top of the counter top surface without the need for needing installation connection materials or installation connections underneath the countertop. Lugs or feet underneath the adaptor mechanism secure or firmly grasp the underside of a countertop to secure the adaptor mechanism once coupled to the faucet to the countertop to firmly mount the faucet and adaptor mechanism in place. At least four different embodiments for coupling the faucet with the adaptor mechanism are described.

Abstract: A fitting housing forming a base of a sanitary fitting contains a pipe socket with which a fastening sleeve of a spout interacts for its rotatable mounting. The spout has an outer pipe in which a hose is accommodated as the water duct. That end of the hose facing the fitting housing is connected to a plug-in nipple which engages inside the fitting housing in a connecting element consisting of plastic.

Abstract: This invention relates to a tube fitment that is used with a valve fitment assembly used to dispense fluids or flowable materials from a container. The tube fitment is utilized in conjunction with the valve fitment assembly to allow the fitment assembly to be used with a spout and valve assembly attached to a container holding fluid. This invention also relates to a process for dispensing fluid using the adapter described herein.

Abstract: A water supply attachment is a spherically-shaped pivot attachment having a hollow passage extending between its opposing ends that includes a threaded portion for coupling to water supplies. The water supply attachment can be a hidden pivot attachment usable in various shower assemblies. The hidden pivot attachment may be used in combination with a seal cup and an attachment nut, such that the hidden pivot attachment closely fits within the void spaces of the seal cup and attachment nut, enabling the hidden pivot attachment to form a seal with the seal cup.

Abstract: A quick connector assembly for a faucet is provided. The quick connector assembly includes a hose fitting having a longitudinal axis, a lock tab coupled to the hose fitting and having at least one projection extending radially therefrom, and a connector body having at least one slot extending from an opening to a locked position, the at least one slot configured to receive the at least one projection of the lock tab. Moving the projection of the lock tab from the opening of the slot to the locked position connects the lock tab to the connector body.

Abstract: A sanitary outlet fitting including a water outlet (2) and a jet regulator (1) which is associated with the water outlet and includes a jet regulator housing (3) with integrated components. The jet regulator housing can be inserted into the water outlet by an axial insertion movement and includes a holding element (6) provided with at least one radially mobile projection (10) for connecting to the water outlet. The outlet fitting includes either a locking element (8) that can be actuated from the outside without using a tool for selectively blocking and releasing the holding element, or an unlocking tool (65) can be inserted into the annular space (68) between the inner peripheral edge of the water outlet and the outer peripheral edge of the housing by an axial insertion movement. The insertion movement of the unlocking tool can be converted into a radial movement of the at least one projection of the holding element from a functional position into an unlocking position.

Abstract: An adjustable or variable joining device (such as a fitting or connector) used to connect a duct (such as pipe or tubing) having a range of shapes, sizes and thread styles to an object (such as equipment, a container, or another length of pipe or tubing). In various embodiments, the device may generally comprise a sealing member, a support assembly, and a support plate. The sealing member is adapted to seal the duct to the device by elastically expanding to fit around the exterior surface of the duct. The support plate, which is placed adjacent to the interior surface of the sealing member, protects the sealing member and prevents it from collapsing under thrust loads. The support assembly is positioned on the outside of the sealing member and assists in operatively holding the sealing member in place. The device may also comprise a casing member, which encloses the above members.

Abstract: The present invention is a dispenser protector device and method. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention comprises a fastener that is associated with a dispenser spigot, or like device. A shield is formed, or otherwise connected, to the fastener such that when the fastener is mounted to a dispenser spigot, the shield prevents direct contact with the spigot of outside elements. While numerous, differing types of contacts are anticipated and protected against by the present invention, the most typical is that when water bottle openings come in contact with dispenser spigots, which generally occurs when water bottles are being refilled. The present invention protects against such direct contact, and other forms of bacterial transmission. It is anticipated that the present invention may be of varied configuration, size, and material construction.

In addition, a valve core is movable in the chamber and has a spindle extending to the exterior of the shell through the top opening. The tap further includes a handle connected to a distal end of the spindle for moving the valve core and thereby regulating a flow of liquid from the outlet port of the valve body.

Abstract: A drain fitting has a unitary body with a lower section and an upper section upstanding from the lower section. The lower section encompasses a space and is open to the drain line to be cleaned. The upper section has a side wall and an inner wall which forms a channel. The inner wall encompasses a through passage which is open to the space encompassed within the lower section. A line of a given diameter can thus be received and maintained around the side walls. Another line of different diameter can be received and maintained within the channel and lines of other different diameters can be maintained within the through passage.

Abstract: A sprayer for attachment to the spout of a faucet. The sprayer comprises a coupling, a spray head through which fluid may be directed for expulsion and a neck portion. The coupling releasably secures the sprayer to the spout of a faucet. The neck portion connects the coupling to the spray head and includes a passageway permitting the flow of fluid from the spout of the faucet to the spray head. The neck portion is flexibly resilient and permits the spray head to be displaced from a rest position where it is generally aligned with the longitudinal axis of the sprayer to a deflected position where it is deflected from its rest position. The resiliency of the neck portion causes the spray head to be normally biased toward its rest position. The neck portion further includes a deflection limiter preventing the spray head from being deflected more than a pre-determined amount from the longitudinal axis of the sprayer.

Abstract: A drain fitting includes a cylindrical body that is sealed against a floor drain cover to confine condensate liquid, such as from an air conditioner, inside the perimeter of the drain fitting by tightening a self-tapping screw that is inserted into a hollow stem in the center of the central body portion of the drain fitting, pulling a gasket in the bottom surface of the drain fitting against a floor drain cover. A nipple connected to the drain fitting receives a condensate drain hose. A vent opening is formed into a side wall of drain fitting.

Abstract: A spout plumbing device includes a spout having an externally threaded water inlet on the bottom for engaging sequentially with a hexagonal nut, an expansion tube and a swivel cap which has a hexagonal central bore in upper portion engaged with the hexagonal nut, a less diameter circular central bore in lower portion engaged with the expansion tube which has a flange on the top stopped against an annular shoulder inside the swivel cap, an elastic sleeve sleeved on the lower portion of the expansion tube and engaged within a through hole of a worktop, a washer position between the swivel cap and the worktop when the swivel cap engages with the worktop and a water source connected to the lower end of the water inlet. It is characterized that this plumbing job is all worked on the top of the worktop and does not need to work in the narrow and dirty space under the worktop.

Abstract: An extension conduit for providing an extension from a spigot to a hose to distance the hose from the spigot includes a tube having a first end being configured to be in fluid communication with a spigot and a second end being couplable to a hose. A clamp is coupled to the first end of the tube. The clamp slidably receives a male end of the spigot to align the male end of the spigot with said first end of said tube to permit fluid communication between the tube and the spigot.

Abstract: A multipurpose plumbing tool has a body at one end, a head at an opposite end and an intermediate neck portion connecting the body and head. The marginal end portion of the body is cut back to form a reduced section, a shoulder being formed at the junction of the reduced section and a non-reduced section of the body. The reduced section is internally and externally threaded. An inwardly tapered seat for an O-ring is formed in the shoulder. An O-ring positioned in the tapered seat is compressed and contained within the tapered seat to provide a water tight seal when the externally threaded end is threaded into a female fitting. The free end of the head is formed with an internally threaded socket. A washer seated at the bottom of the socket provides a water tight seal when the socket is screwed onto a male plumbing fitting.

Abstract: A connecting device includes a tubular coupler which has an inner tubular wall that surrounds an axis and that engages a wall-mount water supplying pipe, a hollow adapter which has a surrounding wall turnable relative to an outer tubular wall of the coupler about the axis, and an outlet port extending radially relative to the axis for coupling with a shower head assembly, and a retaining member which is disposed to be kept in slidable contact with an end wall of the coupler so as to prevent removal of the adapter from the coupler.
