    Abstract: The disclosure is directed towards a through-air drying system comprising a hood and a rotatable cylinder with a porous cylindrical deck. The system includes a seal, and more particularly a seal along the lateral edges of the system. The seal generally prevents the exhaust of drying medium from the system through the gap between the hood and the rotatable cylinder and enables the system to be operated at positive air pressure. The seal may be formed by providing the hood with an axial hood flange, which extends at least partially along the bottom edge of the hood and overlaps an axial annular flange disposed on the cylinder when the hood is in a closed and sealed position.

The extendable pressurized fluid coupler also has a drive circuit for driving the piston. The piston is extendable with respect to the guiding portion. The guiding portion is arranged for guiding the piston along the central axis. The piston is arranged for connecting the pressurized fluid coupler to a corresponding coupler having a second fluid channel, so that a fluid passage for a main pressurized fluid circuit is established.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a dialysis coupler assembly comprising a pair of rubber-like elastic tubular couplers, and a pair of joint members for joining the couplers together. Each of the couplers includes an inner channel 14 allowing a connector associated with a medical device to be fitted therein, and a smooth surface 15, 16 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the coupler. The couplers are adapted to be joined together through the joint members in such manner that the smooth surfaces are in liquid-tight contact with one another. Each of the joint members is adapted to be attached slidably and rotatably onto corresponding one of the couplers, the joint members having first and second engagement portions, respectively. The first and second engagement portions are disposed opposed to one another and adapted to cooperatively engage the joint members with one another so as to allow the smooth surfaces to be brought into liquid-tight contact with one another.

    Abstract: A high pressure be seating assembly adapted for liquid sealing against a rigid surface having a connecting conduit. The tube sealing assembly includes a rigid, elongated, tube member having a spherical sector-shaped distal end portion with a radius substantially larger than the radius of the tube member. The tube member further includes a central conduit terminating at an apex of the spherical sector-shaped distal end portion to define an annular rim portion such that a fluid-tight seal can be formed between the central conduit of the tube member and the connecting conduit of the surface. This seal is formed at a contact interface between the rim portion and the surface when a relative axial force is applied therebetween.

    Abstract: An exhaust manifold assembly for use with an internal combustion engine includes a segmented exhaust manifold with a first segment and a second segment. The first segment has an inlet end for connection with the internal combustion engine and an outlet end. The second segment has an inlet end for connection with the internal combustion engine and an additional inlet end connected with the outlet end of the first segment. An exhaust connector is connected between the outlet end of the first segment and the additional inlet end of the second segment. The exhaust connector includes an inner tubular element, an outer tubular element and a bellows. The outer tubular element is positioned radially around the inner tubular element. The bellows engages the inner tubular element and biases the inner tubular element against the first segment or the second segment. The bellows also engages the outer tubular element and biases the outer tubular element against the other of the first segment or the second segment.
