  • Patent number: 5275444
Abstract: A swivel coupling device is designed for coupling together the mating ends of two tubular fittings forming part of a pressurized fluid, fuel or gas connection system between a fluid, fuel or gas supply and an output device. The device has two relatively rotatable coupling parts with mating flat faces rotatably secured together in face-to-face engagement. Each of the flat faces has a recess with a circular outer periphery matching that of the recess in the other part, and each part has a passageway extending through it to the recess from a point on its outer surface remote from the flat face. Suitable connecting fittings are provided for connecting the passageway on each part to a respective tubular fitting so that the fittings can be swivelled, via dual axes, omni-directionally, relative to one another while fluid, fuel or gas communication between the fittings is maintained through the passageways and recesses of the coupling.

  • Patent number: 5118139
Abstract: A leak repair clamp for pipe and pipe flanges providing a segmented frame adapted to receive interchangeable annular segmented inserts. All of the inserts provide for interlocking connection with the frame segments but each insert is adapted to fit around one particular diameter cylindrical surface out of a range of different diameter cylindrical surfaces. By selecting particular sized inserts, a single frame can accommodate a wide range of different diameter pipes and pipe fittings. When the insert segments are interlocked into the frame segments, the frame segments are then integrated by bolting threaded studs through flanges to form a unit, which in combination with two interlocked inserts is fastened around and against the cylindrical surface. Thrust restraining set screws are provided to prevent movement of the metal frame relative to the cylindrical surface the frame is fastened around and against.

  • Patent number: 4954004
Abstract: The invention relates to a releasable coupling between a male element and a female element. The coupling comprises a split clamp ring that is ranged to be received in corresponding annular recesses in the male element and female element, whereby the ring shall have one wedge surface to engage with a support surface in one recess on the male element and another wedge surface obliquely, disposed from the first wedge surface to engage with a support surface in the other recess in the female element. By applying a circumferentially directed force to the end portions of the split ring, it will be possible to achieve a locking engagement between the ring and its matching recesses, thus assembling the male and female elements to each other.

  • Patent number: 4900066
Abstract: A pin and box connection for connecting tubular members together utilizes a split sleeve. The split sleeve is carried on one of the members and has the ability to retract. This allows the members to be snapped together without rotation. The split sleeve is threaded, and the threads ratchet over each other when snapped together. A locking pin is located in one of the members for engaging a longitudinal slot in the other member. The locking member prevents the members from rotating to unscrew once snapped together.
