Irreversible Patents (Class 285/914)
  • Patent number: 5022685
Abstract: A secondary containment pipe system disposed around a primary pipe system and comprising a joint that is divided along a central parting plane and has laterally projecting flanges that form internal passages for adhesive sealing cement, that is injected through ports while the joint is clamped together around secondary containment pipes. The joint has pipe sockets that have internal grooves that also are filled with injected cement, thus forming a continuous, uninterrupted seal around the interior of the joint, and also has spillover grooves and wells for minimizing leakage, and lateral aligning surfaces. The clamping means are C-shaped clips that can be left in place indefinitely. The secondary containment pipes also are divided, being formed by elongated pipe elements fitted together around the primary pipes and having snap-latching coupling means along their abutting edges.

  • Patent number: 4804208
Abstract: The present invention comprises a manifold coupling for connecting a plurality of conduits which carry pressurized fluid in a sequential manner. Each portion of the manifold coupling is a duplicate of the other portion. Each portion has locking means and alignment means to prevent the misaligned connection of the conduits. The alignment means includes a keying arrangement built into the housing walls of each portion of the coupling. A reinforcement means is configured into the walls to prevent yielding thereof, and inadvertent misalignment of the coupling portions.

  • Patent number: 4753268
Abstract: This invention relates to a double coupling for removably joining twin pipes, wherein the two connectors of the male piece engage in parallel bores in the female piece, and one of them cooperates with a bolt mechanism which ensures removable assembly of the two pieces. In a variant, the bolt is disposed between the two bores in order to cooperate with the two connectors.

  • Patent number: 4699298
Abstract: A bung connection for a rigid container has a bung body which threads into the bung opening, and has a base wall with two or more access openings which are connected to tubes extending to the flowable material in the container. A tube mounting is removably inserted into the bung body and has flow ports which connect with the access ports in the base wall. Flow tubes connect to the tube mounting. The tube mounting and bung body have a coded pattern of interfitting lugs and recesses which prevent full assembly of the tube mounting and bung body if the coding is wrong. A clamp ring secures the tube mounting in the bung body. A shipping plug and liner replace the tube mounting in the bung body for shipping the container to be refilled and then returned for use again.

  • Patent number: 4619640
Abstract: A specially designed first adaptor or connector is permanently attached to a blood source secured from a donor and kept at a hospital blood bank. This first connector is color-coded and has the type blood in the source imprinted thereon. Further, it includes a blood carrying projection of given dimensions. A second connector, in turn, is permanently secured to a blood infusion line or tube leading from a potential recipient or patient's vein. This second connector is also color-coded and provided with an imprint of the patient's type blood. Further, the connector includes a blood receiving bore of given dimensions, the color coding, printing of the blood type and the given dimensions for the second connector being determined by the blood type of the patient.
