Abstract: An article comprising a substrate formed with predetermined patterns and magnetized magnetic substances arranged in the substrate in accordance with the predetermined patterns, and a method of manufacturing an article with magnetized magnetic substances arranged according to predetermined patterns, comprising the steps of arranging said magnetic substances in a substrate in accordance with the predetermined patterns and magnetizing the magnetic substances.
Abstract: An assembling position-adjusting mechanism of a magnetic disk apparatus able to adjust the azimuth, radial alignment, and index of a magnetic head by adjusting a position thereof during the assembling process of a spindle motor. A positioning head movable in a direction perpendicular to a top surface of a table is provided. A plurality of positioning pins are provided on the bottom of the positioning head. Moving mechanisms are provided in the positioning head so that the bottom surface of the positioning head is movable and rotatable parallel to the top surface of the table. Each positioning pin of the positioning head is inserted into a respective positioning hole of a motor assembly so as to move the motor assembly with a movement of the positioning head so that the spindle motor of the motor assembly is at an appropriate position relative to the magnetic head of the main body of the magnetic disk apparatus.
Abstract: Magnetic powders have a thin film of a nitrogen- or sulfur-containing organic polymer synthesized on the individual particles by plasma polymerization. The film is not more than 100 .ANG. in thickness.
Abstract: A tape cassette dust door latch, a dust door latch spring assembly and a related method for assembling the dust door latch into the tape cassette. The dust door latch has a lock plate with a boss projecting perpendicularly therefrom and a coil spring with first and second ends, the first end of the spring surrounding the boss and the second end of the spring being a free end. The cassette has an upper half case and a lower half case, the upper half case having an abutment member located in the vicinity of the lock plate, and the lower half case having a means for rotatably receiving the dust door latch. In the method of assembling, first, the dust door latch is inserted into the receiving means in the lower half case, and then the upper half case is assembled onto the lower half case such that the abutment member receives the free end of the coil spring, directs it downwardly, and holds the coil spring in a biased position.
