Abstract: The present disclosure provides a door lock device for releasably locking a door of a washing machine. The door lock device has first to third latches, and a drive motor and a latch drive mechanism for moving the third latch. The first latch releasably locks the door of the washing machine and is movable in frontward and rearward directions. The movement of the first latch is changed at a change position. The first latch is always biased frontward by a spring. The second latch releasably locks the first latch, which locks the door of the washing machine, at a door locking position. The third latch is moved in a direction perpendicular to the movement direction of the first latch. The third latch restricts the first latch at the door locking position, or unlocks the first latch after pushing the first latch from the door locking position against the spring.

Abstract: A new latch device for a screen door includes inside and outside handle assemblies. Each assembly has a lever adapted to be pivotably connected, respectively, to the inboard and outboard side of the screen door. The inboard lever has a paddle at one end and a stem at the other. The stem extends through an opening formed in the screen door. When the paddle is depressed, the stem moves along a cam surface formed in the outboard lever. This causes the outboard lever to disengage the fastener on the solid door to disconnect the solid door from the screen door. Additionally, when the screen door is in its latched position and not connected to the solid door, depressing the paddle causes the latching end of the outboard lever to disengage the doorjamb so that the screen door can be moved independently from its latched position into its open position.

There are also provided projections extending from the spear which may be transversely moved and either transversely compressed or expanded but never being released from the lock as the cable is rotated.

  • Patent number: 6547289
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an improved drawer latch mechanism, particularly suited for attaching to the front side of a drawer. The drawer front latch preferably has a handle with a full-length grip that is sufficiently large so that it may be operated while wearing gloves, holding a towel or other types of hand coverings. The handle is used to open and close the drawer such that the action of pulling on the handle to open the drawer releases spring-loaded latches biased to be in a locked position. Pushing the drawer closed causes catch surfaces of tapered leading ends of the latch to engage with drawer mounting walls of the cabinet and latch the drawer closed.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for a self-dumping skid mounted container having a catch pin is disclosed and claimed. When the locking mechanism is unlocked the container dumps itself. When the locking mechanism is locked the container may be filled with material, usually scrap steel. A safety latch which engages the catch pin ensures that the container is not accidentally dumped. The catch pin is secured in the locked position by a catch pin hook, a pin support and locator and the safety latch. A spring is operable between the safety latch and the skid which ensures that the safety latch remains engaged. The safety latch is pivotally connected to the catch pin hook and wedgingly acts against the skid to rotate the catch pin hook out of the path of the catch pin allowing the container to self-dump.

Abstract: An oven door latching system has a latch bolt with a latch arm at one end and its other end pivotably connected to a lever through a resilient connection. The lever in turn is pivotably coupled to a positioning device which has a positioning element which is reciprocatable between spaced positions.
