  • Patent number: 10533355
Abstract: An improved surface bolt having a one-piece bolt and, in some embodiments, a one piece channel base in which the bolt is slidably mountable. In some embodiments, the channel base has first and second opposing edges with sidewalls along the edges, and each sidewall has a lip overhanging the base to define a groove or slot. The bolt has first and second opposing edges with ridges that slidably mount within the grooves. The bolt can include a handle extending from a first bolt member surface and a bumper extending from an opposed second bolt member surface and constraining sliding movement of the bolt between fastener heads or other stops extending from the channel base. Some embodiments of the bolt and channel base are made of a lightweight material such as plastic for example; and the bolt and channel base can include scoring, allowing their size to be altered at the score lines.

  • Patent number: 4098101
Abstract: A latch mechanism is mounted on a door or panel hingedly mounted on the frame of a construction vehicle or the like. The latch mechanism comprises a handle pivotally mounted in exposed relationship on an upper side of the door for movement between latched and unlatched positions thereon. A guide block is secured to an underside of the door and a latch member is slidably mounted in the guide block. The latch member is connected to the handle for sliding movements between a latched position underlying a stationary panel of the vehicle and an unlatched position whereby the door may be opened in response to raising of the handle. Detent means are provided between the guide block and the latch member to hold the member in its unlatched position when the door is open. A key lock may be mounted on the door to selectively hold the latch member plate in its latched position.

  • Patent number: 4058332
Abstract: An improved astragal and flush bolt assembly to be secured to a relatively stationary member such as a door jamb or to the edge of an inactive door of a pair of double doors or the like. The astragal assembly includes a flat metal body mounted on the edge of the stationary member and a metal stop member secured to the body along one edge thereof. The flat body includes first and second spaced apart legs extending outwardly from the stationary member with the flat body and legs defining a channel to receive and retain a door latch bolt from the active door. The stop member prevents movement of the door in a first direction and when the latch bolt is engaged in the channel, the channel and latch bolt prevent the door from moving in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 4012928
Abstract: A lock device includes a housing and a removable cylinder normally retained in the housing by a rotatable retainer ring. The retainer ring is driven by a shifter and cylinder change key between a locked and unlocked position. The retainer ring is normally biased to the locked position so that tabs associated with the retainer ring will engage appropriate locking channels of the cylinder and retain the cylinder in fixed position in an opening of the housing.

  • Patent number: 3934636
Abstract: The holder has a body portion arranged to be secured to a wall immediately above the vertical flange of a bathtub. A slide member is slidably supported in the holder and is arranged to project from the lower end of the body portion to clamp a shower curtain down on the flange of the bathtub. The slide member has frictional movement in the body portion for positioning it between the lowered shower curtain engaging position and an upper release position and includes an aperture therein forming a finger grip for moving it between the two positions.
