Screw Catch Patents (Class 292/149)
  • Patent number: 11183726
Abstract: In an embodiment, a clamping bar holder component configured to be secured to an endplate of a battery module includes a plurality of clamping bar holders configured to hold a respective plurality of clamping bars and to facilitate transitions of each of the plurality of clamping bars between a parked state and an unparked state. In the parked state, each clamping bar is secured by a respective clamping bar holder inside of a respective clearance threshold so as to permit the battery module to be inserted into a battery module compartment and/or to be removed from the battery module compartment. In the unparked state, each clamping bar extends out of the clamping bar holder past the clearance threshold so as to block removal of the battery module from the battery module compartment.

  • Patent number: 7628835
Abstract: In a fastening portion for fastening an upper retaining portion and a lower retaining portion by means of a mounting screw, the upper retaining portion has a screw hole and a cylindrical guide formed around and above the screw hole. Further, a projection is formed on the inner wall of the cylindrical guide at an upper portion thereof. In a loosened condition of the mounting screw where it is disengaged from a screw hole, the head portion of the mounting screw is caught to be retained by the projection. The upper portion of the cylindrical guide is tapered so that it has an inner diameter smaller than the diameter of the head portion of the mounting screw. Accordingly, even when the upper retaining portion is turned upside down in the loosened condition of the mounting screw, the mounting screw does not fall down from the upper retaining portion.

  • Patent number: 5284371
Abstract: A sliding door lock having a latch plate, which slidably engages a channel in one leg of a corner piece. The corner piece is mounted in a door frame. A stud is attached to the slider plate so that a person may grasp the stud and slide the plate up and down. The stud has internal threads. A small screw is threaded into the internal threads of the stud. The sliding door lock is used by grasping the stud, which extends through an elongated slot in the door frame, and using the stud to move the latch plate upward so that it extends past the top of the door frame. The small screw is then used to hold the latch plate in an upward position. A tool is used to thread the small screw past the end of the stud so that the end of the small screw is in frictional contact with the corner piece, thus holding the latch plate in the upward position.
