  • Patent number: 9573631
Abstract: A locking apparatus of a side-gate in which a locker pivotably mounted to a post binds a hook when the side-gate mounted with the hook pivots to be raised, may include a knob that is located to be spaced apart from the locker and is pivotably mounted to the post, and a link bar, one end of which is connected to the locker, and another end of which is connected to the knob, wherein rotational force generated by the knob is transmitted to pivot the locker through a link bar.

  • Patent number: 7025394
Abstract: A lock system for integrating into an entry door having a vertical expanse and providing simultaneous multi-point locking along the vertical expanse of the entry door. The lock system includes a plurality of conventional deadbolt assemblies, a plurality of pinion gears, and a rack gear. The plurality of conventional deadbolt assemblies are positioned along the vertical expanse of the entry door. The plurality of pinion gears are operatively connected to the plurality of conventional deadbolt assemblies, respectively. The rack gear is operatively connected to the plurality of pinion gears so as to allow the plurality of pinions gears to operate simultaneously and form simultaneously operated pinion gears. The simultaneously operated pinion gears simultaneously operate the plurality of conventional deadbolt assemblies to provide simultaneous multi-point locking along the vertical expanse of the entry door.

  • Patent number: 6871884
Abstract: A bar lock for a locking system is provided, and comprises a lock body having guide slots and two recessed areas symmetrically disposed on opposite sides between the guide slots and separated from one another by a central member. Two lock bars are received in the guide slots and have engagement openings. Two spaced apart pinions are received in the recessed areas. Rotation of the pinions is converted into a longitudinal displacement of the lock bars. The pinions are positively interconnected via a plug.

  • Patent number: 6682109
Abstract: A door latching mechanism comprises two oppositely-directed, vertically-slideable rods adapted to engage at their outer ends respectively with the top and bottom of a door frame, and a main latch member adapted to engage with a keeper provided on or in the side of the door frame, the latching mechanism comprising a push rod actuating assembly which is connected between the inner ends of the push rods and is engaged by the main latch member, and is so arranged, in use, to urge the push rods in opposite outward directions on latching engagement of the main latch member with the door side frame, the push rod actuating assembly comprising an actuating assembly housing in or on which is mounted first and second gear pinions that are respectively meshed with vertically slideable oppositely-directed push rod bars connected to the respective inner ends of the push rods, the pinions being meshed with respective racks provided on opposite sides of a slider which is slideable substantially horizontally relative to the h

  • Patent number: 6334636
Abstract: A remotely controllable lock includes a turn knob rotatably mounted to a main housing. The turn knob includes an axle rod with a non-circular hole through which a spindle of the lock extends. A power element is mounted in the main housing for driving a relatively larger gear of a power device. The relatively larger gear and a relatively smaller gear are integrally formed on a common shaft that has two ends to which two slide blocks are pivotally mounted, respectively. The slide blocks are mounted in a receiving hole in the main housing and a receiving hole in a fixing plate. The slide blocks are biased by elastic elements. One of the slide blocks includes a stub that extends beyond the associated receiving hole to come in contact with a sensor. The sensor sends out a signal to stop the power element. The relatively smaller gear meshes with a control gear of a control device. The control gear is rotatably mounted around the axle rod of the turn knob.

  • Patent number: 5120087
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for selectively locking and unlocking a large, heavy bulkhead door at several points about its periphery. A plurality of locking fingers are slidably mounted on the door for selective extension and retraction with respect to the door edges. A handle mounted on the door provided for rotational movement of a handle shaft. A double rack and pinion linkage responds to rotational movement of the handle shaft to cause a pair of drive rods to move axially and linearly outwardly and inwardly from the handle shaft. A pair of shaft drive assemblies, including second rack and pinion structures, causes axial rotation of two substantially vertical drive shafts extending along the door edges. A plurality of finger drive assemblies is coupled, by third rack and pinion structures, to extend and retract the locking fingers in unison in response to rotation of the drive shafts.

  • Patent number: 4368905
Abstract: A panic exit door locking mechanism in which a manually operable panic exit actuator device is mountable on the inside face of a hinged door having a tubular narrow stile frame along its swinging edge; top and bottom adjustable bolt mechanisms at the upper and lower ends of the frame are connected by length-adjustable rod structures, concealed in the narrow stile frame, with a pair of gear connected actuating levers that are operable by means of a drive shaft having a slip-joint connection with an actuating shaft of the panic exit device. The top bolt mechanism includes a keeper secured to an exposed wall of a door frame header by screw actuated inner and outer clamping members. A latching member carried by the door is movable into a keeper latching position when the door is closed, and to a keeper non-latching position when the door is opened. The top bolt is utilized to dog the latch in its keeper latching position.
