Abstract: An apparatus (2100), including: a hasp (2104) configured to retain a staple therein when in an engaged position (2106); an actuator (2110) that is biased toward a locking position (2112) configured to lock the hasp in the engaged position, where once the hasp is moved into the engaged position the actuator can reach the locking position; an actuator weight (2130) configured to move under the influence of gravity once the apparatus is tilted from an upright orientation by more than an actuator weight threshold amount and to disengage the actuator from the hasp upon reaching an unlocking position (2136) with sufficient force; and a time delay lock assembly (2150) configured to be initiated when the apparatus is tilted from the upright orientation by a time delay lock threshold amount of tilt and configured to prevent movement of the actuator weight only after an initiation and a time delay.

Abstract: An automobile door handle mechanism has a door handle with a handle arm and a latch lever with a lever arm moved by the handle in an unlatch direction to unlatch a door. The handle arm and lever arm overlap in the unlatch direction to restrict movement of the latch lever in the unlatch direction without movement of the handle.
Abstract: A device for locking a cover on a container body, particularly a wheeled barrel, having a locking piece mounted to pivot between a position assuring the locking of the cover in the closed position on the body and an unlocking position releasing the cover, and an operating member cooperating with the locking piece to bring the locking piece to an unlocking position for a predetermined inclined position of the container. The operating member is a movable weight (13) mounted for guided sliding movement, and the locking piece (11) and the operating member (13) comprise cooperating projecting means (24, 23) arranged so that a translatory movement in one direction (20) of the operating member produces a rotation of the locking piece (11) in the unlocking direction (21).
