Abstract: A side wager for blackjack that allows the player to win when the player loses a hand that the player would have expected to win. If the player is initially dealt a good hand, e.g., 20, and the player still loses, then the player can be rewarded by collecting a “bad beat” award.
Abstract: A security device for a sliding door or window assembly having a sliding panel in a frame. The device comprises a bar. A structure is for pivotally attaching a first end of the bar to an inner side edge of the panel. A fixed pin is secured longitudinally to a second end of the bar. The bar can pivot down one hundred and eighty degrees from an upright storage position to a downward locked position, allowing the fixed pin to engage with one of a plurality of spaced apart holes in a bottom track of the frame, thereby preventing the panel from being opened.
Abstract: A door lock mechanism includes a retainer housing mounted to a doorframe and a chain housing mounted to a door plate. The retainer housing includes a retaining slot defined in a lateral side thereof and a lock core mounted therein. A lock piece is pivotally received in the retaining slot and is releasably engaged with the retaining member. A chain is mounted in the chain housing and includes a fixed first end and a second end to which a slide bolt is securely attached. The slide bolt is releasably, slidably received in the retaining slot of the retainer housing. When in a locked position and when a release button is in its first position, the lock piece is stopped by the retaining member and the slide bolt is retained in the retaining slot and thus allows the door to be opened for a small gap.
Abstract: An automotive adjustable truck lock device for a trunk lid of a trunk at a rear deck of an automobile, including a structure for maintaining the trunk lid in an open locked position, if a large article is placed in the trunk prevents the trunk lid from completely closing down on the trunk.
Abstract: An overhead mounted door holder assembly for attachment between a door jamb and a door, to hold the door in an open position, includes a jamb bracket attached to the door jamb and a jamb arm pivotally attached to the jamb bracket. A channel assembly having a longitudinally extending channel is attached to the door, and first and second end caps are attachable to opposing ends of the channel assembly, with each end cap being held by a retaining key in locked connection with the channel assembly. The first and second end caps are configured to allow alternate positioning of the channel assembly inset in a top of the door or attached to a side of the door. A hold open stop is fixably held in the channel of the channel assembly. The hold open stop is configured to have a stop element for engaging a slide assembly pivotally attached to the jamb arm and positioned for longitudinal movement in the channel.

Abstract: Door holder is adapted to work with conventional door closer. Holder comprises a shoe moving along a track and connected to the closer operating arm. A latch, when device is activated, holds shoe with door in open condition. Latch is attached to a frame near the track and which may be moved away from latching engagement with shoe either by forcible closing of the door manually or by de-activating closer.
Abstract: A gate latching apparatus which incorporates a chain segment and a cooperating latch plate assembly. The latch plate assembly has a chain link receiving slot and a gravity operated keeper whereby the chain may be latched by pushing it against the keeper and into the slot but requires separate manipulation of the keeper in order to remove the chain from the slot.
Abstract: A window construction comprising vertically slidable and tiltable sash members having means for positively maintaining the tiltable sash in a partially-tilted position.
