  • Patent number: 6669250
Abstract: A push-push latch may include a body and a lever arm that is rotatively coupled to the body. A toggle may be coupled to the lever arm and the body. A pin of the toggle may be positioned within a groove in the body of the latch. When the pin is in a first stable position in the groove, an end of the lever arm is positioned away from the body, and the latch is open. When the pin is in a second stable position, the end of the lever arm is near the body, and the latch is closed. A torsion spring, which may be coupled between the body and the lever arm, moves the pin to either the first stable position or the second stable position during use. • Patent number: 6595561
Abstract: The invention relates to a closure comprising a closing head (20) and a lock (10) which rest on the immobile or mobile part of a door, flap or such like. The closing head (20) has an undercut axial shoulder (26) which during coupling is engaged by a radially mobile blocking member (11) in the lock (10). The lock (10) further comprises a sensing member (12) and a restoring member (13) for the blocking member (11). To make the lock less prone to malfunctions the invention provides for the axially spring-loaded sensing member (12) to be used as a locking means for the radially spring-loaded blocking member (11). When the locking effect is actuated the blocking member (11) is held in a release position in relation to the closing head (20). When the closing head (20) is engaged the sensing member (12) carries out an axial movement which releases the lock so that the radial spring-loading can move the blocking member (11) into its blocked position.

The door is provided with a lock having a tongue on the inside to raise the door when the tongue is turned down behind the lower jamb and comes in contact with the ledge. With the use of a single lock and key the door is locked top and bottom with a single turn of the key, the upper edge of the door being wedged between the projection and the upper jamb in the locking position.

  • Patent number: 4893850
Abstract: An opening/closing device for detachably coupling a closure member to the open edge portion of a body includes a locking shaft provided upon the side of the body, a bracket secured to the closure member and having a notch defined therein, an operating lever having an end portion provided with a pawl portion for engaging the locking shaft within the open end region of the notch, and spring means provided upon the operating lever for biasing the pawl portion in the direction of engagement with the locking shaft. When the closure member is set upon the body, the notch is engaged with the locking shaft. The closure member is closed relative to the body by the engagement of the notch and pawl portion with the locking shaft. When the closure member is opened in a cantilevered state, this device serves as a hinge. By operating the operating lever against the biasing force of the spring means so as to disengage the pawl portion from the locking shaft, the closure member is separated from the body.

Abstract: A novel door assembly is provided for allowing selective access between adjacent fuel cells of an aircraft. The assembly includes a frame which is adapted to be mounted to the fuel cell rib between adjacent fuel cells. A door is provided for rotational engagement with the frame to thereby provide a sealable throughway between adjacent fuel cells. The door includes first and second handles mounted to respective first and second sides thereof. A latch is mounted to the frame for engaging the second handle to prevent clockwise rotation of the door and thereby latch the door in the sealed positioned. A novel leakage assembly is provided which is responsive to a first predetermined displacement of either the first or second handle to unlatch the door and is responsive to a second predetermined displacement of either the first or second handle to rotate the door in the clockwise direction to free the door from the frame. Accordingly, the door may be latched or unlatched from either side thereof.

Abstract: A chamber door lock for a roller lock system wherein a vertically reciprocable locking bar is provided with a series of rollers and a vertically reciprocable chamber door is provided with spaced block weldments. The chamber door lock includes a cam beam pivotably mounted on the chamber and coupled to the locking bar. Upward movement of the locking bar to its uppermost position clears the rollers from the door block weldments and swings the cam beam away from the top of the door to a clearance position whereby the chamber door can be raised and swung to an open position. Downward movement of the locking bar to its lowermost position moves the rollers into engagement with striker plates on the door block weldments thereby urging the door against the chamber face so as to compress the door gasket and seal the chamber face.
