  • Patent number: 7384079
Abstract: A lock which can be used for doors which are fitted on the right or left. The lock includes a nut which can be adjusted from the outside by an actuating element and which is disposed in a housing. The lock enables a bolt to be displaced between a closed position, when it is pushed out from the housing, and an open position, when it is pushed into the housing, by an adjusting element. According to this invention, the bolt is maintained in a closed position, counter to the pretension of a spring, in order to enable the type of lock, which can be optionally used on the left or on the right, to be produced without any additional costs. The nut can be adjusted from the pushed out bolt or the closed position, optionally, in a clockwise direction or in an counter-clockwise direction, in order to move the bolt into an open position.

  • Patent number: 6497437
Abstract: A slide rod locking system, especially for locking the door of a switchgear cabinet, having a handle which is coupled to a control element by a control mechanism. The handle can move around a pivotal axis running perpendicular to the plane of the cabinet door. The control element can move in a parallel position relative to the plane of the cabinet door as a result of the movement of the handle. The slide rod locking system transmits powerful locking forces and at the same time can have a low-height design structure by arranging a lever on an articulated joint of the handle at a distance from the pivotal axis. The lever enables the force introduced into the handle to be transmitted to the control element and can modify its angle position with respect to the handle when moved.

  • Patent number: 4754715
Abstract: An improved safe is provided which offers the security of currently known more complex safes at substantially less cost. The safe preferably includes a cabinet having apertured door frame structure, with a door having inner, outer and sidewalls. Locking apparatus located within the door includes a series of selectively operable toggle mechanisms, each having a pair of pivotal links coupled to a locking bolt. The locking bolts are designed to extend through the aligned frame and door apertures to lock the door. The frame structure is formed of interconnected, seamless webs integral with the cabinet walls and presenting a recess to receive the door lip. Additional security is achieved by reinforcing the door lip with flange structure forming a part of the marginal door frame and by attaching the handle to the actuator for the toggle mechanisms so that excess force renders the handle inoperative.
