Abstract: A door lock has a latch which is rotatable from a retracted position to an extended position by means of a linkage. A safety button extends from the latch when the latch is retracted. The linkage cannot be moved unless the safety button has been pressed, which occurs when the door is adjacent the door frame. This prevents the latch from extending and so damaging the keeper in the door frame. The linkage also has a notch which cooperates with a tang projecting from the housing. The tang an notch prevent the latch from being rotated from the extended position to the retracted position except by operation of the linkage. This feature makes it difficult to force the lock open without a key. In addition, one or more remote locks may be added to the main lock. With two remote locks it is possible to provide three anchor points for a door.

Abstract: The invention relates to a security device for doors or windows for foiling unwanted entry into a secured facility comprising a limited rotational vertical rod having a plurality of parallel horizontal rods extending from said vertical rod. The parallel horizontal rods are positioned into a locked position against the interior door, into a partially open position by holding the edge of the door with curved ends and into an unlocked position away from the door.
Abstract: A personal computer includes a box-shaped body having a card storing section for storing a memory card. An operating opening portion is formed by cutting an edge of the body to a given size and externally accessible by a finger, and the storing section communicates with the opening portion through an inlet opening. An ejector mechanism for ejecting the card from the card storing section includes a card receiver arranged in the storing section for receiving the card inserted through the inlet opening. A drawer member is mounted on the card receiver and has an operating end portion. The operating end portion is located within the operating opening portion when the drawer member is moved to its pushed-in position while the card receiver is in its first position and outwardly projects through the operating opening portion when the drawer member is moved to its drawn-out position while the card receiver is in its first position.
Abstract: A display panel and an information machine including the display panel, include a display panel unit having a display screen, and an inner cover for covering the inside of the display panel unit. A pair of metal fittings are screwed to side end portions of the display panel unit. In addition, an outer cover is provided for covering the outside of the display panel unit, where the outer cover and the display panel unit are both separately connected to the inner cover, so that the outer cover can be removed while leaving the display panel unit attached to the inner cover. Since the entire back surface of the display panel unit is exposed merely by removing the outer cover, the inspection and repair of the display panel unit is facilitated.

Abstract: A chair conversion device for a backpack of the type having an external H-bar frame configuration which includes a pair of generally straight tubular side members each of which are pivotally connected adjacent their middle portions to existing side frame members of a provided backpack frame. The tubular side members are swingable through an arcuate range of motion between a first generally upright, storage position to a second open, chair use position. While in the open, chair use position, the bottom end portions of each tubular member form chair rear leg members for the resulting backpack folding chair. A pair of side strap members connect the bottom portions of each chair rear leg member to a bottom portion of the backpack frame to form right and left triangular side supports. An additional transverse strap connects each chair rear leg portion to each other to provide lateral stiffness for the backpack folding chair.
Abstract: A mechanism for securing a door to a door frame includes a plurality of generally C-shaped clamps rotatably secured about the door's periphery, each of the clamps including a rear radial clamp leg engageable with the rear of the door frame, a forward radial clamp leg overlying the front surface of the door, and a connecting base extending between the radial legs, with inner cam surfaces on each radial leg and an outer cam surface on the forward radial leg. A plurality of wedges are slidably secured to the door front surface for radial movement between extended and retracted positions wherein the wedge respectively engages or does not engage the inner cam surface on an associated forward clamp leg to effect latching or unlatching of each clamp about the door and frame.

Abstract: A retainer plate is pivotally mounted on a panelboard cabinet door lock housing, which carries a latch for locking the door. A detent on the plate engages in a rabbet opening to enable limited opening movement of the door in response to the pressure developed by arc gases generated by fault currents passing through a tripped circuit breaker in the panelboard cabinet. For ordinary opening movement, the lock latch is manually operated to pivot the retainer plate and disengage the detent from the rabbet opening.

Abstract: A pair of parallel support members extend behind and perpendicularly to the dashboard of an automotive vehicle at the sides of the opening of the dashboard. Guide devices are provided on the sides of the unit housing of audio equipment and on the support members in cooperative engagement for slidably mounting the unit housing behind the dashboard. The dashboard has a hole formed therethrough in close proximity with the opening therethrough. A slot is formed through the top or bottom of the unit housing equidistant from the sides thereof intermediate the front and back of the unit housing. A pin is secured in the unit housing in operative proximity with the slot and is accessible via the slot. The pin and the slot are mutually perpendicular. A key-operated lock is mounted in the hole through the dashboard.
