Abstract: Method and apparatus are provided for a pet waste collection device. In one embodiment the device includes an elongated handle extending from a grip at an upper end of the handle to a bracket at a lower end thereof. A housing is pivotally connected at a first end thereof to a main pivot on the bracket and extends away from the handle to a second end. The device may further include a leg extending from the housing proximate the housing second end to a foot at a lower end of the leg, and a waste receptacle connected to the bracket opposite the housing. A scoop has a pivot end and a scooping end, with the pivot end connected to a spool rotatably mounted inside the housing proximate the housing second end, wherein the scoop is rotatable from a scooping position in which the scoop extends downward, to a dumping position in which the scooping end is juxtaposed with the waste receptacle.

Abstract: A device for golf putting practice that is an all-in-one golf ball target cup, golf ball collection and storage bag for up to two dozen golf balls. A target cup quadrilateral tube front section is connected to a pole with handle. A ball storage bag is connected to the rear portion of the target cup which is partially circular with a flat bottom. The device allows for maximum amount of golf ball practice putts in a very short period of time. Balls are dropped on the practice putting surface from the device storage bag. The self-balancing device is placed at the desired putting target location and putting practice can begin. Ball collection is completed with the device without bending over, reducing the work and time required.

Abstract: A reach extending tool includes a grasping section at one end of a tubular body opposite a handle end of the reach extending tool. The grasping section includes a pair of grasping extensions that can be used to grasp and object, including any one of several accessories that are configured to mechanically interface with the grasping extensions. The length between the handle and the grasping section can by adjusted by partially folding the body at an elbow joint.

Abstract: A device for picking up animal waste droppings or feces, the device comprises an elongated member with a handle with electronic controls on its upper connected with an elongated member to two sets of two clamps, one a set of outer clamps and one a set of inner clamps each set operated by a clamping mechanism attached to the clamp, with the two clamping mechanisms operating either simultaneously or independently, to pick up or dispose of a disposable coarse fibrous tent like material which is place over the animal waste.

Abstract: A device adapted to pick up a solid waste includes a pair of opposing shells that are pivotally linked to each other to form an enclosure. Each of the opposing shells includes a compartment having hollow tubular body having an open end and a closed end, wherein the closed ends are configured to connect to each other and allow the opposing shells to pivot at the connection. The device is adapted to pivot open by a tension force allowing the device to be used for scooping up solid waste and manually closing the enclosure and locking the opposing shells in a closed position to hold the waste within the enclosure.

Abstract: A fecal matter retrieval and disposal device for sanitary collection and disposal of fecal matter includes a pole and a plurality of bags. A plurality of jaws and a handle are hingedly engaged to a bottom and a top of the pole, respectively. An actuator engaged to the handle selectively motivates the jaws between open and closed configurations, with the jaws being biased to the latter. The bags are nested and can engage and encase the jaws. A first actuation of the actuator allows positioning of the plurality of bags over a fecal matter deposit. A second actuation motivates the jaws to the closed configuration to wrap the plurality of bags around the fecal matter deposit, allowing an outermost bag to be tied off. A third actuation motivates the jaws to the open configuration, whereupon the outermost bag containing the fecal matter deposit drops from the jaws.

Abstract: One example embodiment is a waste collection and storage device, comprising: (a) a disposable container with a body and a base; (b) a plurality of panels extended from the base, each of the panels has a panel distal end extending away from the body, the panel distal ends of the panels pointing inwardly and defining an opening therebetween in an open state; and (c) at least one locking mechanism disposed on at least one of the panels. When a force is applied on the body to the panel distal ends against a target surface having a waste, the panel distal ends move inwards towards each other and in turn close up the opening to form a closed state, and the body and the panels together create a cavity, such that the waste can be scooped up from the target surface and accommodated within the cavity. The locking mechanism locks the panels in the closed state to store the waste within the cavity. Other example embodiments are described herein.

Abstract: A sanitary excrement removal and bagging system is provided that is capable of collecting multiple, individual portions of dog waste or other excrement and storing them within separate sealed packets of a flexible elongate bag. The excrement removal and bagging system includes a disposable bag and a waste collector including an elongate tube for supporting the disposable bag and a retraction mechanism for drawing the disposable bag into an interior space of the elongate tube. A retraction mechanism can pull the bag into the waste collector. The bag sealing member can include heating elements for heating and welding the bag to seal the pockets.

Abstract: Method and apparatus including a scoop having an elongated frame with handle at the top for manipulating the the bottom of the scoop along the ground at the location of excrement to be scooped. The frame includes a bifurcated double pole section to which a disposable bag may be attached. The bag has an opening which faces the front of a rotatable paddle located at the end of the single pole part of the frame. The rotatable paddle is operated via a switch located adjacent the top handle. A shield is positioned about the paddle to prevent excrement being directed rearwardly of the frame. The rotatable paddle includes at least one but preferably two and more preferably three paddles which are spaced about a central axle which itself extends perpendicular to the single pole part of the frame.

Abstract: An animal waste collection and transport device having a container and a handle. The container includes an opening configured to receive animal waste. The handle has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is adapted to be grasped by the operator. The second portion has a lid and a waste scraping tool such as a shovel, hoe, or rake and is used to help move the animal waste into the container. The device includes an attachment assembly selectively movable between a first position where the container and handle are attached to each other and a second position wherein the container and handle are detached (or detachable) from each other so the scraping tool can be used to direct animal waste into the container. In the first position the waste scraping tool is positioned inside the container and the lid covers the opening in the container to seal the scraping tool and any animal waste inside the container.

Abstract: A pooper scooper waste removal device comprising shell pieces with magnets and matching metal strips for removably housing an interior cartridge with a lid piece having an arrow-shaped locking tab and an interior cartridge base piece having a slot for receiving the tab and a plurality of parallel sticks for engaging the animal waste to be removed, such that the cartridge lid piece and the cartridge base piece are easily tab-locked to form a single disposable poop-filled cartridge box to be discarded, such that new interior cartridge pieces may then be loaded into the shell pieces for future waste removal.

Abstract: An improved scooper apparatus is provided. The scooper having an article-engaging assembly including a pair of article-engaging implements configured to open and close via a handle member. The article-engaging implement has a generally concave interior surface creating a bucket-like configuration. An integral tubular member extends laterally from the article-engaging implement and terminates in and forms a raised lip at a perimeter edge of the tubular member. A bag-retaining member is disposed near the tubular member and is adapted for selectively engaging the perimeter of the open end of a flexible bag for collecting.

Abstract: An animal waste extraction device including a gripper having a plurality of fingers movable between an open position and a closed position, each finger having a retainer proximate an end of the finger adapted to be selectively heatable to a first temperature. In response to the plurality of fingers being in the closed position and surrounding an animal waste, a layer surrounding the animal waste and separating the animal waste and the plurality of fingers, the finger retainers being heatable to the first temperature sufficient to at least partially melt the layer proximate the finger retainers, the layer forming an enclosure surrounding the animal waste.

Abstract: An adjustable pet waste scoop includes a handle shaft and a scoop shaft connected in a telescopic configuration, such that the overall length of the device is adjustable. A scoop is connected to a lower end of the scoop shaft. The scoop includes an open-ended front portion extending in a first direction perpendicular to the scoop shaft and an open-ended rear portion extending in an opposing second direction at an upward angle with respect to the front portion. The scoop may include one or more clips for securing a pet waste bag to the scoop and may further include annular grooves that receive clamps or other fasteners for further securing the pet waste bag. The open-ended configuration and fasteners allow a pet waste bag to be attached to the scoop in multiple configurations according to user preference.

The container is configured with a set of teeth that extend out from the bottom of the inlet opening and an outlet opening on the back of the container is configured for dumping feces from the container. The container is configured to retain a bag around the back outlet opening. The bag-retainer has a slot for pulling the end of the roll of bags therethrough, bag-teeth to aid in tearing a bag off from the roll, and a cleat and tray for holding a filled bag. A light-mount is configured to allow positioning of a light in any direction and a detachable rake may be alternately used to collect feces. A receptacle for personal articles and for pepper spray is provided.

A sticky portion is disposed concentrically on the extension rod proximal the bucket scoop to temporarily attach at least one disposable bag(s) thereto. A disposable bag encloses some of the extension rod to the two bucket scoop and attaches to the sticky portion to form a closed container inside-out therewith around a grabbed material. A grabber and scoop contents disposing method includes forming the bucket scoop and using the sticky portion to temporarily attach at least one disposable bag thereto. A directional light emitting diode attached to the device shines in a direction of the sticky roll and the bucket scoop and may be automatically activated.

Abstract: A pet waste collecting device including a telescopic shaft assembly, a dispensing assembly, a scooping assembly and a handle assembly is disclosed. The telescopic shaft assembly can be retracted or expanded for easy use by users of all heights. The dispensing assembly is mounted onto the telescopic shaft assembly and is adapted to hold a granular material therein. When necessary, the granular material held therein is released to cover the pet waste for easier collecting thereof. The dispensing assembly is adapted to expand or retract along with the telescopic shaft assembly. Importantly, the handle assembly is mounted on a distal end of the telescopic shaft assembly. On an opposite distal end of the telescopic shaft assembly the scooping assembly is mounted thereon. Upon usage of the handle assembly the scooping assembly is controlled in order to open or close the scooping assembly to collect and later dispose of pet waste.

A first bag is positionable adjacent to the distal opening such that, when the fingers move from the retracted position toward the extended position, the first bag is uncoupled from the frame member for use in picking up animal feces.

Abstract: A waste collection and isolation device and a method for picking up waste materials without the need for the user to come in contact with the waste are disclosed. The device contains a system for ensnaring solid waste in a bag, a mechanism for activating the system for ensnaring the waste and a system for removing the bag. To use the device, the user installs a bag over a housing containing a plurality of overlapping cords. The user places the opening of the bag over the waste disposed on a surface and then activates the snaring mechanism causing the cords to entangle under the solid waste and to close the bag opening with the waste inside it. The bag comprises a drawstring and a tab in a fixed position. To fully close the bag, the user pulls on the drawstring and pulls the bag onto the tab.

Abstract: A poop pickup tool with a first and second flexible panel, a handle sheet holding member and a frame retaining bracket. The first and second panels each have a diamond shaped frame member at their distal end. The first panel has a hand grip at its proximal end. Flat holding brackets slidably retain the first panel and second panels. The second panel has a perpendicularly disposed handle portion. The frame retaining bracket is attached to the second panel at the lower end of the frame member so that a user can place the first and second diamond shaped frame members over a plastic sheet that covers a portion of poop and then slide the first panel backward to trap the plastic sheet and enclose the poop between the rear portion of the first frame and the front portion of the second frame.

The upper end connects to an attachment member that is for securing the tool with a user's arm. The lower end connects to a V-shaped support member wherein two legs of the V-shaped support member are connected to a semi-circular member. On the bottom surface of the semi-circular member, there are a plurality of hooks on the bottom surface of the semi-circular member, each of the plurality of hooks being biased in the forward direction. Another hook being biased in the rearward direction is inside the tip between two legs of the V-shaped support member, for securing a disposable bag on the semi-circular member in conjunction with the plurality of hooks on the bottom surface of the semi-circular member.

Abstract: A pet waste collection device for collecting and discarding animal waste is provided. The device comprises a shaft with a vacuum head mounted to the shaft. A vacuum motor is mounted within the vacuum head. A nozzle is connected to the shaft and the vacuum motor provides a suction to the second end of the nozzle. A retractable claw member having a plurality of extendable claw fingers extends from the nozzle. A waste bag is positioned within the claw member. An access port is formed in the vacuum handle. Upon collection of the pet waste in the waste bag, the claw fingers close as the claw member retracts into the nozzle, the open end of the waste bag closing shut. The bagged pet waste is suctioned by the vacuum motor through the shaft to a waste bag receptacle within the vacuum handle and removable from the receptacle through the access port.

Abstract: A tool for removing and holding dog excrement from both grass, and other non-grass surfaces, comprised of a pole handle at the upper portion and a set of beveled tines and collection pan on the lower end. The handle is connected at the rear of the collection pan at a an angle which aids in placement of the fork in the best possible position for leverage and moving smoothly beneath the feces. The separated beveled tines allow easy penetration of grass or debris beneath the feces, which is moved over the beveled tines and into the collection pan with a slight tip of the fork. The collection pan is capable of containing considerable feces prior to being emptied into an appropriate trash receptacle.

In another embodiment, two jaws are configured for sideways movement and to close over the dropping by a remote handle. A collection bag is placed inside the jaws with its rim wrapped around the jaws in a way that closing the jaws ensnares the droppings inside the bag.

The container may be based on a cardboard kernel tube of a toilet roller.

Abstract: A monopod mounted solid pet waste collecting and disposing system, is a pole device with a mounted scooper box. When not in use, the scooper box is mounted vertically parallel to the walking stick. When required for pet waste collection, it is deployed horizontally parallel to the ground. The Scooper box has a provision to insert a specially designed disposable case inside the box which has lower lips to protect the surface of scooper box coming in contact with pet waste and side lips that allows the case to be opened or closed in sync with the scooper box. The internal section of the stick also has control systems to deploy the scooper box for pet waste pick-up, to open and close the two compartments of the scooper box to collect the pet waste from ground and to eject the disposable case out of scooper box.

Abstract: A leaf skimming apparatus includes an elongate pole having first and second ends and defining a tubular configuration. A handle is positioned adjacent the pole first end. A scoop assembly is coupled to the housing second end, the scoop assembly having lower and upper scoop portions pivotally movable between open and closed configurations. A manually operable trigger is attached to the housing adjacent to the handle, the trigger being operatively connected to the scoop assembly and configured to selectively move the lower and upper scoop portions between the open and closed configurations. A linkage is situated in the housing that is operatively connected to the trigger and to the scoop assembly and configured to move the lower and upper scoop portions between the open and closed configurations upon respective operations of the trigger.

Abstract: A pet dung collector includes a shovel, which consists of a handle, a shovel plate positioned at a front end thereof and a drop-in opening provided at the shovel plate whereas both sides thereof are provided with a respective hook, and a receipt component, which is pivotally connected at a bottom of the shovel plate and clipped beneath the drop-in opening as well as consists of a receiver for covering the drop-in opening when not in operation and receiving the dung therefrom. Thereby the hooks at both sides of the shovel plate are utilized to enable the shovel to extend over an edge of two surfaces with respect to each other of a collecting bag that by flipping the receipt component downward the dung can be automatically dislodged therefrom into the collecting bag.
