Abstract: A tool for retrieval of dropped and other items includes an elongated rod member having a first end and an opposite second end, with a handle mounted at the first end of the rod and defining a user gripping surface, and a retrieval member mounted at the second end of the rod and defining a lower planar retrieval surface. The retrieval member includes a magnet and the lower planar retrieval member surface defines a sticky surface region, both for attachment and retrieval of dropped and other items.

Abstract: A recovery device comprising a pole with a handle to which length extensions may be mounted. Two top attachments. One for recovering tackle from trees having two longitudinal square shafts with magnets attached to their upper face; said shafts bending vertically toward a square attachment front side with magnets attached to the face thereof with razor points at the tips; a flashlight mounted on its underbelly and a back attachment mounted horizontally having a fibrous sheet for securing tackle during retrieval. A second underwater attachment comprising a stem with the top of the stem having a vertical round shaft protruding from its center; a magnet mounted on the bottom side of said vertical face of the round shaft extending from the face of the shaft rearward along the bottom side, with a magnet mounted on the front face and a split ring attached to the top of the face extending vertically.

Abstract: A metal detector digging tool apparatus has an elongated pole having a nonmetallic digging tool or scoop attached to one end thereof and a nonmetallic bracket removably clamped between the ends thereof. The nonmetallic bracket clamps to the pole between the ends thereof and has a metal detector clamp extending therefrom that clamps a pinpoint metal detector to said bracket adjacent the nonmetallic digging tool for remotely isolating and examining an object detected by a metal detector without the operator bending or kneeling over.

Abstract: A toy combination includes a plurality of children's building blocks, each of the building blocks having a ferromagnetic material, and a wand with at least a portion that is magnetic, the wand capable of attracting the plurality of children's building blocks. The wand may have end lower ends in a variety of configurations to pick up the building blocks.

Abstract: A magnetic retrieval assembly includes a handle. A tube has a first end and a second end and the first end of the tube is attached to the handle. A retrieving member has a retrieving end and a receiving end. The retrieving member has a cylindrical shape. The retrieving member is magnetized when subjected to an electric current. The receiving end is attached to the second end. An electro-magnetic field inducing circuit is mounted on the retrieving member and extends to the handle. The electro-magnetic field inducing circuit is actuated to magnetize the retrieving member. The retrieving member may be positioned near a metallic object and actuated to magnetically retrieve the metallic object and de-actuated to release the metallic object.

Abstract: An apparatus and method that allows the access and use of assistive living tools. The apparatus includes a magnet attached to a flexible rod with a clamp attached to the opposite end from the magnet. Detachable small metal strips are attached to ADLS or other devices allowing the device to be supported by the magnet for access. The device can easily be removed from the magnet for use and can easily be replaced to the magnet. Devices, such as a TV remote control, cell phones, etc. could be attached to the rod making them accessible to operate with a mouth stick. This device allows unassisted access to a pencil, a paintbrush, a control stick, or a straw, etc. by persons with limited mobility.

Below the shaft is a deflector used to deflect debris away from a magnetic lower end of the retrieving apparatus. The magnetic lower end may be a single piece of magnetic material or a hollow pipe filled with one or more magnets. Magnets in the hollow pipe may be coupled to a magnet release handle that can slide along a slot that runs along the shaft. The magnet release handle can be used to move the magnet in the hollow pipe away from the magnetic lower.
