Band Type Patents (Class 294/31.2)
  • Patent number: 6378924
Abstract: A reusable, releasable, bottle holder device is disclosed and adapted for use with bottles now commonly used. The device has a pair of rigid semi-annular plates hingedly mounted to each other along one edge. Each of the rigid plates is pre-formed with a curve which is concave from the other to receive a bottle. The device includes a first and second handle half attached to a second edge of each of the semi-annular plate edges and having at least one pin in a second handle half situated to co-operably engage with a ring opening in a first handle half in a closed position, the pin having a flexible and deformable cap. The device can be made out of clear materials allowing easy identification of the contents. When the curved rigid plates are in an open position, they are stackable allowing for space efficient transport and display.

  • Patent number: 6364385
Abstract: A pour and carry device for use in conjunction with relatively large consumer beverage containers. In one embodiment, the device is integral to the container, in another embodiment, the device is separate. One embodiment includes a finger tunnel. In one embodiment, the tonguelike member extends outwardly relative to the bottle neck and downwardly towards the bottle body so as to provide a crotch therebetween to accept the web portion intermediate a human's thumb and forefinger, to allow the human to grip, lift, and pour the bottle by placing the palm on the bottle below but proximate the neck, such that the web portion fits within the crotch, and the thumb and forefinger combine to at least partially surround the neck of the bottle.

  • Publication number: 20020008395
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and detachable handle support for carrying paint containers and the like. The detachable handle support comprises an elongated rigid member having a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion includes protruding sections and a pair of convexly curved lateral arms for embracing the outer side wall of a paint container. The rigid member is positioned parallel to the longitudinal central axis of the paint container, with the upper portion of the rigid member extending to a predetermined length above the uppermost portion of the paint container. Preferably, a handle is attached to the upper portion for carrying the rigid member, with the handle being positioned substantially normal to the upper portion and extending radially inward over the uppermost portion of the paint container.

  • Patent number: 6241415
Abstract: A device for holding a container includes an elongated handle. An adjustable band is mounted at one end, and has two sections which project from opposite sides, of the handle. The two sections overlap to form a loop, and each section is provided with a series of openings. A clip receives the overlapping sections and comprises a detent which can be moved into and out of the openings. The band is flexible, and the overlapping sections of the band can be shifted relative to one another to change the diameter of the loop. When the diameter has been adjusted, the detent is passed through registering openings of the overlapping sections to fix the sections with respect to each other. An anchoring bar is also mounted on the handle and is movable radially of the loop between a retracted position inside the handle and an extended position in which the bar projects into the loop. The bar stabilizes a container which is gripped by the band.
