Abstract: An electrical distribution system for personal water craft and recreational vehicles. The primary components include a digital switching device; a series of power lines; and one or more remote controls, a control panel, or both. The digital switching device is preferably a bank of solid state relay switches controlled by an MCU. The control panel also has an MCU. The control panel MCU communicates with the digital switching device MCU. This allows signals from the control panel to travel on a single communication cable to the digital switching device, significantly reducing the control panel footprint compared to prior art control panels. When a radio frequency (RF) receiver is provided, the electrical distribution system may receive signals from a remote control. The remote control may be utilized in addition to or in lieu of the control panel. Power lines run from the digital switching device to wherever power is desired in the vessel.

Abstract: A towable vehicle including a chassis, at least two wheels and a suspension assembly supporting each wheel. The suspension assembly includes a swing arm pivotally mounted to the chassis, an axle mounted proximate an end of the swing arm, the wheel being mounted on the axle, at least one shock absorber extending from the chassis to the swing arm, an airbag swing arm mounting pivotally coupled to the swing arm, an airbag chassis mounting coupled to the chassis, an airbag coupled to the airbag swing arm and airbag chassis mountings so that inflation of the airbag allows a suspension height to be adjusted over an operating range and a pivot arm pivotally mounted to the chassis and the airbag swing arm mounting to maintain an orientation of the airbag swing arm mounting over the operating range.

Abstract: A shelter or camper that provides improved portability and protection. The shelter or camper may include rigid walls to offer greater protection from weather, animals, and theft. The shelter or camper may be transitionable between different configurations for different purposes, including an open and expanded configuration for use as a shelter, camper, or sleeping quarters and a compact, closed case configuration for easy storage and transport. To facilitate this, the walls may be foldable, expandable, or collapsible. When the walls are folded or collapsed, roof and floor sections may be connected to each other and may enclose the folded, collapsed walls and internal components within the collapsed closed case.

Abstract: An apparatus for lowering a hitch onto a truck bed and raising the hitch off of a truck bed is disclosed. The apparatus includes: an upper carriage, a lower carriage, and a kingpin. The upper carriage is suspended from multiple lines, which lines are configured to lower and raise the upper carriage. The lower carriage is attachable to the upper carriage at various positions relative to the upper carriage to allow the load on the lines to be balanced in one direction. The kingpin is attached to the lower carriage, and kingpin is configured to be captured by the hitch. Allowing the hitch to be lowered onto the truck bed and raised off of the truck bed as the upper carriage and the lower carriage are lowered and raised by the lines. Another embodiment of the apparatus includes lifting devices attached to the lines for raising and lowering the hitch.

Abstract: A pop-up camper on a vehicle is disclosed. The pop-up camper may include a plurality of walls. The plurality of walls may include at least one sidewall, a lid hinged to the at least one sidewall, and a door attached to the at least one sidewall. The pop-up camper may also include a tent configured to be disposed between the lid and the at least one sidewall. Furthermore, at least one actuating mechanism may be attached to the lid and the at least one sidewall. The lid may be configured to rotate between an open lid position and a closed lid position. In addition, the actuating mechanism is configured to assist the lid rotation to the open lid position.

The axis of the socket follows and approximates the axis of the tractor as the electrical cord stretches, while the swivel connector assembly provides more than a single axis of rotation to accommodate multiple angles of cord movement. The swivel connector assembly provides at least two separate and distinct rotation axes for the socket.

The grip (45) is provided so as to project upward from the upper surface (63).

Abstract: A passenger compartment of the modular vehicle, such as a bus, includes a roof panel and sandwich-type side panels coupled to structural joiners to form the passenger compartment. The side panels and the joiners may include pultruded beams for increased structural integrity. A chassis of the vehicle has channels integrated therein for coupling of the side panels and passenger compartment to the chassis. This coupling to the chassis channel may also include the use of a bonding agent.

Abstract: A portable shelter that is convertible between a collapsed transport configuration and an expanded operational configuration. The shelter includes a container having a wing wall that is selectively pivotal between a closed position and an open position, and an inflatable tent having a flexible inflatable support structure and a flexible cover. When the wing wall is in the open position, the inflatable support structure is selectively inflatable from a collapsed configuration to an operational configuration to thereby support the cover in an expanded operational configuration above the wing wall, such that the cover forms a sheltered space. The inflatable support structure is selectively deflatable from the operational configuration to the collapsed configuration, whereupon the first wing wall may be pivoted to the closed position to store the tent within an internal space of the container, such that the shelter is in the transport configuration.

The bottom sliding mechanisms, the top sliding mechanisms, the angle-adjusting mechanisms, and the leg rest assembly enable the seat frame to be rotated into a flattened status in a limited inner space of a vehicle, enable the seat frame to be transformed between a passenger-mode and a cargo-mode, and enable the seat frame to be used as a bed during a long trip. When in the passenger-mode, the position of the seat bracket and the angle of the back support bracket may be adjusted to facilitate convenience, and to provide more use modes in a limited inner space with the elevatable desk.

Abstract: Convertible racks and vehicles incorporating convertible racks are disclosed. The convertible rack is adapted to form a flat conformation (e.g., like a tonneau cover), a rack conformation (e.g., like a truck rack), and a covered conformation (e.g., like a truck bed tent). The convertible rack includes a left foldable assembly and a right foldable assembly. Each of the foldable assemblies include a rack section and a roof section. When in the flat conformation and rack conformations, the roof sections are folded onto the corresponding rack sections. In the flat conformation, the rack sections are generally positioned horizontal. In the rack conformation, the rack sections are generally positioned vertical. In the covered conformation, the roof sections are folded away from the rack sections and opposite side roof sections may be selectively coupled together.

Abstract: The present invention is an easily mobilized compact module that combines habitable quarters and integrated interior and/or exterior multipurpose storage structures. Mobilization may be via trailer, truck bed, helicopter, adjustable jacks or other conveyance means. The module may be easily and quickly removed and reattached to one of the aforementioned mobilization means via attachable height-adjustable legs, hoist, crane, or forklift with locking turnbuckles, bolts, or other hold-downs. The module is built of a rigid exoskeleton designed for enclosure habitat and for utility as a base for attaching items or equipment. It has various end cap options such as doors, windows, or solid panels, as a user dictates. The interior of a module has modular panels that form many configurations for functional use and/or storage. The lower portion of the system provides three (3) storage compartments. A first compartment is provided with insulated sidewalls to serve as a cooler to keep food cool. A second compartment is for general storage for clothing and similar items. A third compartment is provided with collapsible poles and hooks for attaching a shower curtain and water bag thereto shower. A cooking grill section is also provided on the back portion of the system that folds up for compact storage.

Abstract: A collar system for a connecting the cab of a vehicle to the cargo bed cover or similar boxed attachment, the vehicle mounting collar including a webbed collar frame designed to mount to a standard driver's compartment or cab, without modification to the vehicle. The collar and attachment method are extremely flexible and accommodates any vehicle tolerance variation. The collar mounts to the rear flange on the cab of the vehicle, and the bulkhead of the collar has slots to receive the shell of the cargo bed cover. Shell bolts within the bulkhead slots allow the shell to be adjustably repositionable on the bulkhead of the collar by slippage of the shell bolts within the bulkhead slots.

Abstract: An RV roof frame and cover system protects an RV during storage. The system comprises a roof frame and a cover. The frame has a ridge pole member having two sets of rafter members extending downwardly therefrom. The rafter members are attached at their lower ends to one of two horizontal members which can be moved towards and apart from one another to adjust the width of the frame. The rafter members are rotatably attached to both the ridge pole member and the lower horizontal member. The horizontal members are tied to one another by tie beam members which have an adjustable length to accommodate the movement of the horizontal members towards and away from one another. The tie beam members may be provided on legs which extend downwardly from the horizontal members.

The tent itself is stored in a self-contained pouch on the cargo box floor, the mounting supports in an envelope integral with one bed and the tent poles in an envelope integral with the second bed. The topper has two horizontal tracks mounted on the inside of topper near the roof. The topper rear door has two rollers fasten thereon. The rollers glide in the tracks when the door moves between the closed and the open position. The topper rear door can be locked in closed position and the topper door can be locked in the fully open and retracted position.

In another embodiment, the first jack may be a pull-out jack that is movable between a first position in which it is disposed inside the first sidewall and a second position in which it extends out from the first sidewall. The camper may include a second pull-out jack.

The motorhome with the frame mounts a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system as well as heavy holding tanks within or below the plane of the vehicle frame so as to lower the center of mass of the motorhome to thereby improve vehicle handling and safety. Placement of the HVAC system within and/or below the vehicle frame obviates the need to position HVAC components on the roof of the motorhome thereby further lowering the center of mass and eliminating a source of liquid water condensation above the living space of the motorhome.

Abstract: An attaching system for a lift-roof cover pivoting substantially about a fixed forward wall upper edge via application of rear hatch technology of the prior art for conventional cab high covers together with attachment means in the form of linkages. The attaching system for mounting to a load bed supports multiple functions providing convenience in distribution and installation processes; in particular facilitating unmodified use of processes employed for conventional caps with respect to shipping and storage. The system includes unique draw latches incorporating alternate methods for adding reliable function supporting levels of operating convenience demanded for lift-roof applications. Simplified manufacturing adaptation of a conventional cap is supported by pre-assembly of key subassemblies.
