Abstract: A multi-tiered casket handling system is configured to preferably be placed in a vehicle. Because the casket handling system admits to adjustability in its mounting, a wide range of vehicles can be used. Further, because the casket handling system has a system for tilting the rear upper tier and powered movement of caskets, the system is capable of handling greater numbers of caskets than is possible with conventional systems, thereby taking full advantage of larger vehicles.

Abstract: A method and cot fastening system for a patient transport vehicle having a rearwardly located patient access which meet the pull requirements for vertical and lateral movement are disclosed. The system comprises a rear mounting part, which mounts on the floor of the transport vehicle adjacent the patient access; a forward mounting part which mounts on the floor forward of the access, rails connecting the rear mounting part to the forward mounting part, and a release mechanism. The rails of the cot fastening system help guide the cot into the vehicle and to the forward mounting part. When the cot has reached the forward mounting part, a cross-member which forms part of the cot undercarriage, is urged against a pair of automatically locking securing mechanisms of the forward mounting part which secures the cot thereto as well as to the rear mounting part via catches.

Abstract: A funeral urn transport device for storing and facilitating the transport of a funeral urn in a vehicle, typically, a hearse. The transport device includes a compartment that pivots within an opening in the floor of the rear compartment of the hearse for storage below the floor of the hearse when not in use and pivots to rise above the floor of the hearse to securely contain, hold and display a funeral urn, in an dignified manner, for transport to a service or repose.

Abstract: A casket transporter which is positioned in a vehicle and which is adapted to support a pair of caskets on a lower deck and a pair of caskets on an upper deck. The upper deck is movable from a transport position to a loading position.
