  • Publication number: 20100259058
Abstract: A vehicle for use on surface streets providing a viable working environment that allows at least 6 passengers to conduct work during commuting time. The configuration of each individual workspace is sufficiently large and separate from other passengers to serve as an effective alternative workplace until the passenger has arrived at their destination. Each workstation may also be equipped with computing and communications equipment to enhance productivity. The vehicle also may incorporate on one or more of its internal or external surfaces a dynamic display screen that displays advertising selected based, at least in part, on the then-current location of the vehicle as determined by a geographic location system such as GPS satellite navigation. The vehicle may also be electrically powered to further reduce its environmental impact.

Abstract: A temporary cubicle device can be either fully or partly free-standing or have a part thereof attached to a vehicle. In its free-standing state it is foldable from a stowed state to an erected state by manipulating a foldable support frame which has a pair of support arms pivotally connected to a pair of main link arms which are pivotally connected at their adjacent ends respectively to part of the support frame. The material of the cubicle device is attached to the support arms, whilst in the erected state of the cubicle device a strut formed by links maintains the main link arms unfolded and thus the support arms spaced apart and parallel.

  • Patent number: 7303226
Abstract: A truck work office solution for a mobile vehicle. The work-station will take advantage of existing adjustability features on the passenger seat so that the height of the work-surface can be customized for each driver, and swivel to point toward the rear of the cab as well. The passenger seat itself converts into a work station. The driver seat may be swiveled to face the passenger seat that converts into an office area. The passenger's seat is normally a static element present in all cabs, and certainly in the case of single drivers it remains unused for its intended purpose. Because drivers are bound to the driver's seat, they use the close proximity of the passenger's seat to make peripheral tasks and items more convenient. The conversion provides a sliding work surface, storage, as well as power outlets.

  • Patent number: 7080865
Abstract: An integrated operator workspace adapted for incorporation into a mobile computing vehicle. The integrated operator workspace includes a base having a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge. A first operator computing station is located adjacent to the first longitudinal edge of the base and a second operator computing station is located adjacent to the second longitudinal edge of the base. In this arrangement, the first and second operator computing stations are separated from each other by a first predetermined space, which permits unimpeded ingress and egress of the integrated operator workspace by a first user operating at the first operator station and a second user operating at the second operator station.

  • Patent number: 6783164
Abstract: An expandable trailer is designed for transportation and use of satellite communication related electronic equipment. The trailer has a generally horizontal support frame with an upper surface defining a floor of the trailer. A pair of spaced apart generally vertical side walls extend upwardly from the support frame and define an interior transport area between the walls. An expansion module is supported in an opening in one of the side walls. The expansion module has a vertical front panel and rear panel with inboard edges and outboard edges. The panels are spaced apart to define the front and rear of the expansion module. A generally vertical side panel extends between the outboard edges of the front and rear panels and has an upper edge and a lower edge.
