Patent number: 5071185Abstract: An enclosure for installation about the load carrying area of a truck with the enclosure includes removable corner posts for inserted engagement with truck structure. Enclosure side and end rails extend between the corner posts and are adapted for removable, rested engagement with the corner posts to permit convenient installation and removal of the rails. Multiple rows of sockets on each corner post receive pins carried at and offset from the ends of each rail member. The pins are horizontally adjustable relative to the rail member to facilitate socket engagement. A modified form of the enclosure includes corner post fittings of right angular shape each apertured for purposes of corner post attachment. Sockets on the post fittings receive the pins of rail carried fittings to enable part installation on the corner post in a detachable manner.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1991Date of Patent: December 10, 1991Inventor: Jim D. Patent number: 4960300Abstract: A hopper extension device for attachment to a conventional combine hopper includes upper and lower rectangular frames which have a flexible wall structure secured thereto. The frame members of the upper and lower frames extend through sleeves at the upper and lower ends of vertical panels defined by the flexible wall structure. The hopper extension device is shiftale between erect and collapsed positions by a plurality of toggle link assemblies, which extend between and are connected to the upper and lower frames. The toggle linkage assemblies are vertically disposed in a locked over-center condition in the erect position and are horizontally disposed in the collapsed position. The panels of the flexible walls extend between the toggle links of each toggle link assembly when the latter are in the collapsed position.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 1989Date of Patent: October 2, 1990Inventor: Arvard C. Patent number: 4958875Abstract: A rail attachment apparatus is set forth for use in combination with pockets formed within the side walls of a truck bed. The pockets are formed with side walls of a predetermined height. The apparatus includes an upper post integrally secured to a positioning plate overlying an opening defining the pocket with a threaded rod extending therethrough. The threaded rod extends downwardly through a depth post into threaded engagement with a latch plate integrally secured to the depth post. The latch plate is formed of a generally rectangular planar configuration with rounded corners for positioning within the pocket and rotated ninety degrees after initial positioning to engage underlying edges of the pocket walls whereupon tightening by use of an overlying threaded fastener, the assembly grasps the pocket walls and enables the depth post to be telescopingly received within the upper post to secure the latch plate in position.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1988Date of Patent: September 25, 1990Inventor: Larry A.
