Abstract: The headache rack for pickup trucks that supports and secures loads being transported while protecting the rear window from damage and the passengers seated in the cab from harm. The headache rack is adjustable in height in order to accommodate pickup trucks having varying cab heights. Further, the headache rack is provided with internal wiring pathways to safely run wiring from any lights mounted on the uppermost surface of the rack to the pickup truck's electrical system.

Abstract: A roof opening and closing device includes a roof panel for opening and closing a roof of a vehicle body and disposed over the vehicle for closing the roof at its mounting position, a back window having a back window flame and a back window glass and disposed rearwards of the roof panel at its mounting position, a first displacement mechanism for displacing the roof panel and the back window from their mounting position to their storage position being stowed in a luggage room in order to open the roof and a second displacement mechanism for contacting a front end portion and a rear end portion of the back window glass in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body to the back window flame at the mounting position of the roof panel and the back window and for displacing the front end portion and the rear end portion of the back window glass upwards in relation to the back window flame.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a plurality of vertical support members and horizontal members readily assembled and secured on a pick-up truck bed or the like, with or without a canopy on the truck bed, forming a load-supporting rack outside the space typically occupied by a conventional pick-up canopy. Adjustable members provide for height adjustment and for adaptation of the load mounting area to match the dimensions of the load. Rack support members are inserted vertically into base members that are rigidly mounted in typical stake holes characteristically provided on the rim of a truck bed, obviating the need to weld to the truck or to drill bolt holes in the truck. The base apertures for receiving the vertical support members extend from the rim of the truck bed outside the dimension of a typical truck canopy. The rack is also specifically designed for facile assembly and disassembly.

Abstract: A trailer useful for carrying combine cutter heads - either corn or small grains. The trailer avoids interference with the combine when loading the head and also maintains a proper load balance after the head is loaded. It does so by using a trailer-wheel axle which is movable from a normal road position with the wheels well under the load to a rear position where the wheels are considerably behind the driving wheel of the combine as that machine drives up to the trailer so that the head can be detached and loaded.

Abstract: A carrying rack mountable on a vehicle, such as a pickup, for carrying bulky and oversized objects. The rack is characterized by including a frame mountable to the bed of the vehicle and including a forward rack member. The frame also includes a pair of support members extending rearwardly of the front rack member, these support members including a pivotal connection carrying a rear rack section. The rear rack section is movable between a forward, folded position and a rearward, extended position for carrying large objects thereupon. The foldable nature of the rack permits easier access into the bed of the truck when the rack is not in use, while providing an aesthestically pleasing configuration, such as that of a roll bar. Optional winch means, lighting, and reflectors may also be incorporated in the unit.

Abstract: A wagon body adapted to receive and transport seed cotton and the like and which has an elongated deck and upstanding end and side walls, the side walls being pivotally arranged for the upper portions thereof to move toward and away from each other. With the walls in spread apart position the wagon is loaded with cotton whereupon the side walls are moved inwardly, thus to compress the cotton. The side walls are power driven by means of an elongated torsion member which extends from end to end of the body and a plurality of links operatively connected between the torsion member and the side walls.
