Movably Mounted To Provide Access Patents (Class 296/96.13)
  • Patent number: 11472268
Abstract: A windshield assembly for an off-road vehicle includes an upper piece, a lower piece, and a middle piece. The upper piece abuts the roof to prevent a noticeable gap between the windshield and the roof regardless of whether the windshield is open or closed. The lower piece spans the lowermost portion of the windshield area. The middle piece is the main viewing portion, and is hingedly attached to the upper piece to allow the main viewing portion to be moved from a closed position to one or more open positions. When the middle piece is in its closed position, it substantially spans the space between the upper piece and the lower piece. When the middle piece is in a fully open position, the space between the upper windshield piece and the lower windshield piece is substantially free of windshield protection.

  • Patent number: 8656594
Abstract: A bottom trim member secures a curved sheet element such as a windshield or the like on a surface. The bottom trim member includes a bottom trim extrusion having a connecting leg affixable to the curved sheet element and a gasket receiving leg. A gasket is disposed in engagement with the gasket receiving leg, where the gasket is shaped such that the bottom trim extrusion is positionable in multiple orientations relative to the surface and such that the gasket maintains a sealing engagement in any of the bottom trim extrusion multiple orientations. A securing member is affixable to the surface and cooperable with the bottom trim extrusion to secure the bottom trim extrusion to the surface in any one of the bottom trim extrusion multiple orientations.

  • Patent number: 8641093
Abstract: A retractable limb guard assembly for a tractor with a pair of opposed loader brackets and a hydraulic system. The assembly includes a pair of opposed removable brackets connected to the pair of loader brackets. One pair of rocker arms is pivotally connected to each one of the pair of removable brackets. A limb shield is pivotally connected to each of the two pairs of the rocker arms. The pair of hydraulic cylinders is actuated by the tractor hydraulic system wherein each of the hydraulic cylinders extends between one of the removable brackets and one of the rocker arms in order to move the limb shield between a retracted position to an angled protection position.

  • Patent number: 8348326
Abstract: A seat slide apparatus for a vehicle includes: a plurality of lower rails adapted to be fixed at a floor of the vehicle in an inclining manner relative to the floor of the vehicle; a plurality of upper rails adapted to be slidably supported by the lower rails, respectively, and to support a seat for the vehicle; a motor generating a driving force for moving the upper rails in a manner where the upper rails slide relative to the corresponding lower rails; a transmitting mechanism transmitting the driving force of the motor to the upper rails; and at least one slide-resistance applying portion provided in the transmitting mechanism and applying an increased slide resistance to the transmitting mechanism when the upper rails move to slide downwardly on the inclination while applying a decreased slide resistance to the transmitting mechanism when the upper rails move to slide upwardly on the inclination.

  • Patent number: 6460917
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for fitting a window into a bay, especially a window of a transport vehicle; the window is rapidly removable, especially to allow the evacuation of passengers in a vehicle. The window (1) is equipped, by bonding, with a frame (2), especially a metal frame, which itself is fixed to the body opening (3) by discrete mechanical fasteners (6). The latter are locked by systems which, for example, are unlocked from the inside of the vehicle. In one embodiment, the frame (16 is made of an elastomer and it has projections (17) on which locking members (18) bear.
