Abstract: Clearance in the seat base to which a post is pivotally mounted provides for wide-angle rotation of post-mounted equipment that is supported by the post that is mounted to the base. The location of the pivot axis is such that the mechanisms employed for pivotally mounting the equipment to a dental chair do not protrude from the back of the chair.

Abstract: A shooting bench for supporting a shooter and an associated firearm relative to a ground surface. The device includes a main support member supported in a substantially upright position by a forward leg member and a rearward seat support member. A top member extends across the forward leg member and a seat member extends across the rearward seat support member. The top member is positioned above and forward of the seat member such that a shooter residing on the seat member may rest a rifle along or above the top member during aiming and discharging of the firearm. Preferably, the members are substantially planar and include slots permitting sliding interconnection of the members without a use of additional fasteners.

Abstract: A combination lounge and back posture work chair is disclosed which comprises a base seat support on a horizontal frame provided with back uprights, a folding foot support and a storable work support table. Downwardly extended frame sections of the back frame carry outwardly extending foot supports for when the user wishes to convert the use of the lounge chair to a working chair designed for promoting the user to work in an upright sitting position.

Abstract: A school desk or table with a smooth writing surface (88), which when in the open position (FIGS. 4 , and 4A) can be utilized as a computer work station on a local area network. The video display (14) is of the thin variety (LCD type); the input device (34) would include a keyboard and a track-ball mouse. Student work can be stored either on the file server or on a floppy disk using a floppy drive (72). The network cable (46A) and power cable (46B) are routed through the desk frame into the computer station underside and connect each individual station to the network and centralized power supply. The desk-station is unlocked by a servo motor (52) which is activated upon powering up the main power supply.

Abstract: Assembly components are provided for children to build and rebuild their own assemblies of school furniture. The assembly components include, as general categories, base components and interchangeable auxiliary components. The auxiliary components can be releasably coupled with the base components to build school-related assemblies including chair assemblies with adjustably high seating surfaces; a notice board assembly for supporting notices or a chalk board or the like; a stage assembly for theatrical productions; symbol display assemblies, as for displaying the alphabet in block letters; and desk assemblies with adjustably high desk tops. In some embodiments of the present invention, the furniture base is not just a unitary component but an assembly of modules. Accordingly, there are modules which can be releasably coupled together to build a modular assembly of a furniture base.

Abstract: A bath chair for handicapped users comprises a plurality of individual light weight parts which may be packed as an article of luggage and quickly and easily assembled for use. The chair has a seat frame upon which a cushion is placed, and a bench frame also having a cushion which is locked to the seat frame with a swivelly mounted protective arm therebetween. Adjustable legs on the seat frame and the bench frame permit adjustment of the chair to the desired height. A back rest is mounted on the seat frame, and a second protective arm is mounted on the other side thereof from the bench frame. Adjustable tub clamping members are detachably mounted to, and depend from, the bench frame for clamping the wall of a bathtub.

Abstract: A portable bench for stabilizing firearms when shooting which includes a stand consisting of a base plate and a plurality of outwardly extending legs. An inclined forearm rest and a seat are mounted to one side of the stand and a firearm support is rotatably secured to the base plate.

Abstract: A chair having a support pad arrangement movably mounted thereon, with the support pad mounting on one side thereof an integrated or removable computer keyboard. In the preferred embodiment, when the pad is in a primary use position wherein it extends in front of the chair occupant, the pad can also be vertically rotated to cause the bottom surface thereof to face upwardly, which latter surface is substantially flat and can be used as a conventional support or writing surface.

Abstract: An apparatus including a central seat rotatably mounted to selectively confront one of an annular array of desks positioned about the seat. The desks are mounted to an upper ring, wherein a lower ring concentrically positioned below the upper ring provides a foot rest for an individual positioned within the seat. The seat is mounted upon a dampener member to accommodate bouncing of an individual upon the seat structure. The desks are removably mounted relative to the upper ring to accommodate various positions and desks for securement to the upper ring.

Each of the chairs is a reclining chair that is individually adjustable between a retracted position and an extended position, and the two chairs and console are movable as a unit relative to a supporting surface.

A chair (22) is coupled to the shaft (74) by chair coupling member (90); a device carriage (27) is coupled to the shaft (74) by a carriage coupling member (92); and a footrest assembly (28) is coupled to the shaft (74) by a footrest coupling member (94). The chair (22), device carriage (27), and footrest assembly (28) are coupled to the shaft (74) to selectively pivot together about the shaft (74), and in such a manner that a constant spatial relationship is maintained between the chair (22) and the device carriage (27). The chair (22) is swivelly connected to the chair coupling member (90). Abstract: A table adapted to be used as a coffee table having a top, all or part of which can be raised and moved laterally on struts forming a part of the legs of the table. The raised and moved portion is moved to a position where it can be used as an ordinary table for writing or the placement of food. Abstract: A structurally simple table and bench combination includes a rectangular planar table top pivotally connected to two pairs of legs, one pair of legs at one end of the table top being non-extensible, and the other pair of legs at the other end of the table top being extensible; and a bench defined by a pair of tubular sides extending outwardly from the non-extensible legs away from the extensible legs for receiving rods attached to the extensible legs, so that the extensible legs can be moved towards or away from the non-extensible legs while the extensible legs are retracted or extended to change the angle of inclination of the table top.

A chair (12) has a first portion (12b) contactable by a thigh of the seated operator and a second portion (12c) contactable by the operator's back. The chair (12) is rockable about a horizontal axis of a main pivot shaft (28). A carriage (14) is secured proximate the front edge of the first portion (12b) of the chair (12). A surface for supporting an input device (16) and a surface for supporting a visual display device (18) are attached to the carriage (14). As the seated operator rocks about the horizontal axis of the shaft (28), the spatial distance between the surface for supporting an input device (16) and the seated operator remain essentially constant, as does the spatial distance between the surface for supporting the visual display (18) and the seated operator.

Abstract: A collapsible combined table and chair assembly comprises a first telescopic strut connected with a rear U-shaped leg member and a second strut hinged to the intermediate part of the first strut and connected with a front U-shaped leg member. A foldable table unit is mounted at the upper end portion of the first strut and a chair unit is mounted on an upstanding support extending from the first strut near the rear leg member.

Abstract: A marksman's collapsible, portable, shooting bench and table assembly. The assembly comprises a bench open on its underside to provide a storage compartment and shiftable between an upright, use position and an inverted, storage position. A chest is contoured and dimensioned for nesting in the compartment. A foldable table top folds about the chest in the nesting position of the latter. A collapsible leg assembly is dimensioned for storage in the compartment. Fastening means releasably fasten the table top in its opened out use position to the leg assembly in its extended use position. Attaching means releasably attach the bench in an upright, use position to selected ones of the legs of the leg assembly in their extended use position.

Abstract: A detachable arm rest for a passenger seat includes a vertical member supported at one end thereof from the floor of a motor vehicle, and is adapted for attachment to the inboard side of the seat near the front edge thereof; a horizontal member extending from the other end of said vertical member, said horizontal member being adapted for connection to the back support portion of said seat, and an extension member attached to the top side of said horizontal member thereby providing a supporting surface for the interior arm.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to improvements in a dental treatment chair assembly including a unit table having various instruments attached thereto in combination with a unit arm mechanism. The assembly is so constructed that the unit arm mechanism is made slidable in the direction of the mechanism crossing (preferably at right angles with) the body axis of the chair. Such construction makes it possible to meet the convenience of both a doctor and a nurse in their operation of the instruments in dental treatment.

Abstract: A shooting table device having a table portion for supporting a firearm and seat portion for supporting the operator while firing the firearm with the firearm resting on the table portion. The table has a pair of front legs to support the front of the table. The seat portion has a pair of horizontal extending support members extending from the seat, and which are pivotably mounted to the front legs of the table to pivotably support the seat portion of the front of the table. The horizontally extending support members are telescoping to adjust the seat toward or away from the table. The seat portion has a pair of legs mounted to the seat portion of the rear of the table to support the rear end of the seat separate from the table. The table also has a support leg at its rearward end to support the rearward end of the table.

Abstract: An attachment mechanism for use with a tray having an adjustable swinging bracket secured on the underside thereof and removably secured to one arm comprising a bracket secured to the underside of the tray in juxtaposition with the other arm and having depending legs forming a recess for the arm, a plate secured within the bracket and spring biased against said legs and having a pin extending into an aperture in said arm whereby said latch and said tray may be gripped with one hand so as to overcome said bias and remove said pin from said aperture.

Abstract: A trolley table has a chassis mounted on casters and adapted to support generally horizontally a table-top or tray which may be detachable, and a seat articulated to the chassis to pivot between folded and unfolded positions, the trolley table being so constructed and arranged that with the seat folded it can be nested together with other trolley tables.
