    Abstract: An armrest for a motor vehicle has a housing body and an arm support fitted pivotably on the housing body. A rotatably mounted bolt is provided on the arm support with a bolt tongue which, in a locking position, interacts with a striker plate on the housing body, as a result of which a pivoting of the arm support away from the housing body is blocked. A U-shaped support bracket is fitted on the arm support and has, upon application of a force for pivoting of the arm support away from the housing body in the locking position of the bolt, contact with the bolt tongue on the side which faces away from the arm support. A support force is thus exerted in the direction of the arm support on the bolt. The support bracket in the locking position of the bolt, engages around at least the bolt tongue.

    Abstract: A chair includes a chair arm (20) coupled to a frame (22, 28) and a cup holder (24) mounted to chair arm (20) for movement between a retracted position lying underneath chair arm (20) to an opened position lying away from the underside of chair arm (20) to hold a cup (26) therein. Cup holder (24) includes first and second arms (40, 42) mounted for pivotable movement about a pivot axis (44) relative to chair arm (20) and one another. When moved to the opened position, first and second arms (40, 42) cooperate to define a circular cup-receiving opening therebetween. Cup holder (24) also includes an interlock (90) to guide relative movement of first and second arms (40, 42) as those arms are moved between retracted and opened positions.

    Abstract: A tray table for a vehicle that is extensible from and may be stored in a center console. The center console has longitudinally shiftable lateral side walls that define a pocket for storing the tray table. The lateral walls of the center console are moveable along a track to permit fore and aft adjustment of the location of the table relative to a seat in the vehicle. A push button is provided on a pivot locking mechanism to lock and unlock a tray support arm. A cup holder may be provided on the tray support arm that is moveable between a storage position in which it is parallel to the tray support arm and a use position in which it is perpendicular to the tray support arm.
