The components include a threaded rod and a nut that can rotate around it, as well as a sleeve-shaped component that surrounds at least a part of the nut. A seat position adjustment mechanism is preferably provided between the seat and the elongated member of the seat carrying member.

A ram connected with the seat assembly simultaneously propels the seat rearward. A stop member controls the extent of movement of the seat and backrest.
