Abstract: A seat back cover in the form of a flexible bag of plastic or paper is shaped to fit over the back of a typical folding chair. The seat back cover may include structure to retain the bag on the chair, e.g., against the force of wind in an outdoor setting. The seat back cover may include vertical adhesive strips with peel covers placed on the back of the bag proximal to the chair edges so that if the cover is put on a smaller chair, the sides of the bag can be folded toward the back of the bag and taped out of the way. Multiple bags may be concatenated on a roll and separated by perforations, and the adhesive strips may be placed so as to fold the corners down over the rounded corners of the chair back.
Abstract: A sanitary headrest cover includes a sheet treated with a disinfecting agent having an adhesive strip on a rear surface. The sheet is secured to the upper end of a passenger seat to protect a passenger from bacteria and other contaminants on the headrest.
Abstract: A neck guard for a salon/barber industry sink, wherein the sink has an indentation in a lip of the sink to accommodate a person's neck. The neck guard includes a lower layer, a cushioning layer and a cover layer. The lower layer is flexible and incorporates fasteners such as suction cups configured to removably attach the lower layer to the sink. The cushioning layer is bonded to the lower layer and has a surface that is suitable for having the cover layer attached to it by means such as a low-tack, pressure-sensitive adhesive. The neck guard is sufficiently flexible to wrap around and conform to the indentation in the lip of the sink and to enable attachment of the fasteners to the sink, thereby securing the neck guard within the indentation in the lip of the sink.
Abstract: An adjustable patient transport system transports a patient in a comfortable, safe manner by allowing the operator to adjust the head support portion of the apparatus to suit the patient's height. The adjustable patient transport system broadly comprises a patient transport chair having an adjustable back comprising a seat portion, back portion, head support portion, rear leg portion, front leg portion, and material roller system. The back portion comprises an outer frame having a hollow insert and a cloth backing adapted to support a patient's back; the head support portion comprises an inner frame adapted to be received in the hollow insert of the outer frame. The head support portion further comprises a horizontal cross bar having adjustable support material fixedly attached thereto connecting to the material roller system. The adjustable patient transport system can be folded for convenient storage.
Abstract: A retractable seat covering for covering a seat to keep it clean and prevent sun damage thereto. The retractable seat covering includes a housing. The housing has a front wall, a back wall, a pair of side walls, and a bottom wall. A top side of the housing is open for access into the housing. A bottom portion of the housing has a cylindrical shape. A spindle extends between and is securely attached to the side walls. The spindle is positioned in the bottom portion of the housing. A tubular member is rotatably positioned on the spindle such that the spindle extends through the tubular member. A biasing means biases rotation of the tubular member in a first direction. A panel has a top edge, a bottom edge, and a pair of side edges. The bottom edge of the panel is securely attached to the tubular member. The panel is wrapped about the tubular member such that the panel may extend outwardly of the housing by rotating the tubular member in a second direction.
Abstract: A portable and foldable toilet seat is disclosed which comprises a thin shell having curved edges which snugly fits over the top of a permanent toilet seat to prevent slippage and includes a stack of disposable liners within said shell. After use, the liner in contact with the permanent toilet seat is peeled away from the stack of liners and appropriately disposed of. The seat may then be folded into a compact quarter oval shape devoid of any contamination from the permanent toilet seat.
Abstract: A chiropractic table comprising a cushioned platform upon which a patient is positioned pronely for treatment, a strip of sanitary paper in rolled supply and covering a portion of the face cushions transversely, and a manually releasable paper retainer clamping the full width of the free end of the rolled strip. The free end of the paper strip is clamped between an elongate, tubular clamping member normally urged by suitable springs towards bearing upon a matching elongate surface of a base member, which is secured to a side of the base of the face cushions opposite the paper supply roll. A handle is provided by which the springs are manually overridden to release the paper, to allow the used portion of the paper to be drawn through the retainer off the cushions to be replaced by a fresh portion, the handle then being released so that the paper is again clamped. The table may be of the tilting or stationary type.
Abstract: In an electrically or manually operated automatic bed making device, rollers are rotatably positioned at spaced opposite first and second ends of a mattress on a bed spring. A bed sheet and a bedspread are removably affixed to each other to form an endless loop and the loop is mounted on the rollers in a manner whereby part of the loop is on the upper surface of the mattress and part of the loop is beneath the bed spring. A pillow is removably affixed to the bed sheet. A blanket is removably affixed to the bed sheet. A motive device drivingly coupled to the rollers selectively rotates the rollers to selectively move the bedspread or the combined sheet, pillow and blanket onto the upper surface of the mattress and simultaneously move the combined sheet, pillow and blanket or the bedspread beneath the bed spring thereby selectively dressing the bed for non-use and preparing it for use.
