Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a protective covering, which includes a cover portion, an elongated piece of fabric, a first coupling mechanism, and a weighted fixture. The cover portion is for a seat cushion. The elongated piece of fabric extends from the cover portion. The first coupling mechanism couples the cover portion to a first end of the elongated piece of fabric. The weighted fixture facilitates securing the elongated piece of fabric in place over the cover portion using gravity.

Abstract: A convertible children's seat may include a chair component, and enclosure component, and soft goods. The chair component may include a base, a stationary plate mounted to the base, and a seat back mounted to and rotatable about the stationary plate. The soft goods may be wrapped around the chair component and the enclosure component. The seat back may be configured to rotate between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The chair component is configured to be removably mounted to the enclosure component. A children's seat apparatus may include a chair component and an enclosure component. A method for implementing a convertible children's seat may include providing the convertible children's seat and causing the convertible children's seat to be moved between an open configuration and a closed configuration when the seat back is rotated about the stationary plate.

The at least one securing device may secure both the insert part as well as the component to the structural component. A method for assembling such a seat assembly is also described. In one method step, the insert part is secured to the structural component by at least one securing device, and in the same method step or a subsequent method step or a preceding method step the at least one component is secured to the at least one securing device. A vehicle seat have such a seat assembly is also provided.

Abstract: A sofa frame covered by a form fitting upholstery sack where the upholstery sack incorporates integrated support webbing comprising a plurality of webbing straps. With the upholstery sack properly positioned on the back rest portion, the support webbing is positioned on the front of the back rest portion frame. The upholstery sack is pre-formed to snugly fit over the back rest portion of the sofa frame. Installation time is decreased when compared to the time required for conventional webbing and upholstery installations.

The massage chair includes a surface that is easy to clean, and water-filled rollers within the chair to apply a massaging effect to the body of the user thereon. Each water-filled roller incorporates a foam inner roller that is surrounded by either a cylindrical water-filled wrap or water-filled inserts. The massage chair incorporates a leg section to perform a percussive and vibrating massage on the legs of the user thereon. The massage chair has the ability to recline and to apply heat and/or cooling to the user thereon. The massage chair incorporates auto-sensing controls, massage pattern software, and Cloud Control Software that enables the owner in a commercial environment to establish the time for use, frequency, and price for the massage session.

Abstract: A seat of a vehicle is designed for safety to reduce risk of injury to an occupant of the seat in the event of an abrupt movement or a collision involving the vehicle from the rear. The seat may have seatback geometry designed to promote coupling an occupant to the seat, thereby minimizing a gap between an occupant and the seatback and, therefore, the impact forces to the occupant in a rear-facing collision by reducing a relative velocity between the occupant and the seat, as well as absorbing energy of the occupant over a longer distance. The seat may include one or more materials that plastically deform under a force imparted on the seat by the occupant accelerating relative to and toward the seat during a vehicle collision. Cavities in the seat can be used, in some examples, to create a particular compressibility for optimizing impact.

Abstract: Seat covers for a seat with a headrest are disclosed. The design includes a seat cover for a seat having a headrest, including a backrest cover sized to at least partially cover a backrest of the seat, an opening disposed on the backrest cover sized to allow the headrest to pass therethrough, and a flap sized to cover the opening and that is transitionable between a closed position and an open position. The opening is sized similar to the flap and the backrest cover has a securable slit provided therein. The flap in the open position and the slit in an unsecured orientation enables the seat cover to fit over the headrest, and the flap can be closed under the headrest and the securable slit secured to form a closed orientation.

Abstract: A lifting pad to be used with a wheelchair in order to provide additional comfort to a user is disclosed herein. The lifting pad comprises a cover with a seat portion and a backrest portion. The lifting pad also comprises a first slot formed in the seat portion and a second slot formed in the backrest portion in order to receive inserts such as foam inserts which are to provide comfort to a user. The lifting pad further comprises at least one foam insert arranged inside each of the first slot and the second slot found on the cover. The lifting pad is adapted to be placed on a seat to provide support and comfort to a user seated thereon.

An upper section of the panel is planar and horizontally oriented when the upper section is positioned on a vehicle seat underneath a child safety seat. A lower section of the panel is coupled to and extends from the upper section wherein the lower section supports a user's feet and legs when the user is seated in the child safety seat. A coupler is attached to the panel and releasably couples the panel to the vehicle seat.

Abstract: An automobile bench seat cover having a bottom portion and a back portion is disclosed herein. The bottom portion is configured to cover three seat bottoms of a bench seat when removably coupled to the automobile bench seat. The back portion is coupled to the bottom portion and configured to cover three seatbacks of the bench seat when removably coupled to the bench seat. The bench seat cover also includes two slits extending from a top portion of the back portion toward the bottom portion. Each slit is adaptable between an open position that allows a seatbelt to fit through the slit and a closed position that closes the slit. One or more couplings, such as Velcro, are positioned adjacent each of the two slits and configured to close the respective slit.

Abstract: A wheelchair slipcover is provided that includes a first covering member and a second covering member that is adjustable for different wheelchair sizes and configurations. The first covering member has a back covering portion covering a back of the wheelchair, armrest covering portions extending around from both sides of the back covering portion and attaching vertically along the seat portion of the wheelchair. A second covering member covers the seat and the backrest, positioned on the first covering member.

Abstract: A portable seat protector comprises a flexible cover portion that can be deployed over a seating surface, for example a seat in a motor vehicle. The protector includes mounting straps designed to secure the protector to a car seat headrest either when in use or when not in use. Storage straps secure the protector in a rolled up configuration when not in use. The cover can be made from materials that prevent moisture, oils or soil from being transferred from the user to the seating surface. The cover may optionally include multiple layers including materials that wick moisture from the user while still protecting the seating surface.

Abstract: Upholstery chair covers and methods for upholstering a chair using the same are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the upholstery chair cover includes a piece of material sized and shaped to cover a body of a chair, and includes a back portion, a seat portion connected to the back portion, at least one flap connected to the seat portion with at least one fastener, wherein the at least one flap secures the piece of material to the body of the chair. In another embodiment, the piece of material includes at least one leg flap connected to the seat portion with at least one leg fastener, wherein the at least one leg fastener secures the at least one leg flap to at least one leg of the chair. The upholstery chair cover may include cushions. The upholstery chair cover gives the appearance of a new re-upholstered chair.

Abstract: A multipurpose wind resistant beach towel that has trapezoid shaped open-ended pockets attached to the bottom surface of the towel to form sand traps that anchor said towel to the sand and prevent the wind from displacing the towel. Open-ended pockets are used for ease of filling and removal of sand. Additionally the present invention allows for the removal of unwanted sand and debris from the surface of the said towel without removing it from the anchored position. Optionally the present invention may be used as a lounge chair cover by anchoring the towel to the head and foot of the lounge chair by use of sand traps. Lastly, the present invention functions as an easy to carry and or hang towel.

Abstract: A vehicle protective seat cover for use under a child safety car seat. The cover includes at least a seat cover bottom panel having upper and lower opposed surfaces. Frictional grip pads are attached to the lower protective panel. In one form, the frictional grip pads include four upper grippers protruding above the upper surface, sized and positioned so that child safety car seats of various sizes overlap all four of the upper grippers at least in part, as well as four lower grippers protruding below the lower surface. In another form, four apertures are formed in the seat cover bottom panel. The apertures are sized and positioned so that child safety car seats of various sizes overlap all four of the apertures at least in part. Correspondingly, four frictional grip pads are configured so as to be retained in respective ones of the apertures.

Abstract: Cushioning constructions for mattresses or chair cushions are given comfort features for severely immobilized patients. Otherwise, the problem is that, sit or lie still long enough and awful sores may develop. The cushioning constructions hereof are formed of plural or multiple layers of resilient materials of dissimilar softness/firmness and, moreover, these layers are partitioned into multiple zones across the layers of likewise dissimilar softness/firmness. Such features include soft sinking spots for the pelvic area in mattresses or for the counterpart ischium support zone in seat cushions. In distinction, firm and soft juxtapositions are provided for the upper thigh region in mattresses or in the counterpart femoral support zone in seat cushions. Conversely, firm lateral rails for mattresses or counterpart lateral wings for cushions of chair backs are provided where the concern is with Huntingdon's disease patients, who are largely immobile but periodically convulse at times.

The fabric body has a first layer of comfort fabric for exposure to the user; and a second layer of waterproof fabric, seamed around a perimeter edge to the first layer, so that the second layer provides a waterproof barrier across the covered portions of the seating device.

Abstract: A strap-tightening structure for a furniture item having a frame that supports an elongate strap. The elongate strap includes a rearward section that overlies the back rest of the furniture and a forward section that overlies the seat section. A rearward end of the elongate strap overlies a transversely disposed rearward end of the frame and is secured against longitudinal displacement when the forward end of the elongate strap is pulled taut at the forward end of the furniture. A pair of tensioning belts are secured to a forward end of the elongate strap. Each of the tensioning belts is disposed in overlying relation to a transversely disposed forward end of the frame. A pair of releasable buckles is secured to a bottom side of the elongate strap and adjustably engages the tensioning belts so that the elongate strap can be pulled taut whenever it develops a sag.

Abstract: A transfer sling having a generally rectangular fabric element sized to cover bottom of an automobile seat and to extend at least part way up the seat back ending in a yoke to be attached to a vehicle headrest at the top of the seat back. The lower portion of the fabric element is further constructed of an additional, second ply of low friction fabric material sewn together with the fabric element marginally at only the juncture with the top portion so that the two fabric plies remain free to slide relative to one another with minimal resistance thereby enabling the seated individual to more easily rotate their legs to/from a forward oriented position from/to a side oriented position in relation to the vehicle.

The sofa sheet set includes a bottom sheet that comprises a generally rectangular top portion and a peripheral side section, the side section having at a lower end thereof an embedded elastic band for capturing a plurality of sofa cushions. The sofa sheet set further includes a generally rectangular top sheet fixed at one of its long sides at a seam to one of the long sides of the bottom sheet. The top sheet is larger in length and width than the top portion of the bottom sheet. A system and method for ordering the seating pad assembly for a transportation seat includes at least one terminal configured for entering an identifier indicative of a type of transportation seat purchased, e.g., a class of service; a server configured for receiving the identifier, determining dimensions of the seating pad assembly based on the identifier, and generating an order to acquire the determined seating pad assembly; and a communications network for coupling the at least one terminal and the server. The terminal may be configured in the form of a computer, a kiosk or a mobile terminal. The system will allow a purchaser of a transportation seat to either purchase or rent the seating pad assembly.
