Abstract: A balancing chair can comprise a support structure, the support structure comprising a top portion, a middle portion, and a bottom portion, wherein the top portion is coupled to a first pad and a second pad, the second pad resting between the first pad and the middle portion, and a base, comprising a first lateral runner and a second lateral runner, the first and second lateral runners coupled to and perpendicular to the bottom portion of the support structure, wherein the first lateral runner and the second lateral runner have first and second lower surfaces, respectively, that collectively define a lower curved surface of the base, the lower curved surface enabling the base to define a rocking motion from side to side.
Abstract: A rocking chair includes a base unit, a frame unit located above the base unit, and a plurality of rocking members mounted between the base unit and the frame unit to connect the base unit and the frame unit. The frame unit is suspended above the base unit and is capable of swinging forward and backward relative to the base unit. The frame unit has an adjustable inclined angle. Thus, the frame unit and the base unit are folded when not in use to reduce the whole volume of the rocking chair.
Abstract: A reclining seating unit includes: a base; a rocker assembly fixed to the base; and an arm frame fixed to the rocker assembly, wherein the rocker assembly is configured such that the arm frame experiences rocking motion relative to the base. The seating unit further comprises: a generally horizontally-disposed seat; a generally upright backrest positioned rearwardly of the seat; a footrest unit; and a reclining mechanism that interconnects and controls movement of the seat and the backrest relative to the arm frame between an upright position and a reclined position. In the upright position, the backrest is generally upright and positioned above the arm frame, and the seat has a first rearward position relative to the arm frame, and in the reclined position, the backrest is reclined relative to the underlying surface as compared to its disposition in the upright position and the seat has a second forward position relative to the arm frame that is forward of the first rearward position.
Abstract: A massage machine that can stably rock a chair main body in a forward-backward direction and that has minimal overall height comprising a chair main body, a base which supports the chair main body, massage portions provided in the chair main body, and a rocking mechanism portion which rocks the chair main body in the forward-backward direction with respect to the base. The rocking mechanism portion includes link members, each of which has a lower portion pivotally supported by the base and an upper portion pivotally supporting the chair main body. The chair main body is rocked in the forward-backward direction by rocking the upper portions of the link members in the forward-backward direction.

Abstract: A gliding-reclining seating unit includes: a base configured to rest on an underlying surface; an arm frame; a gliding mechanism attached to the base and to the arm frame, the gliding mechanism configured to enable the arm frame to reciprocate in a longitudinal direction relative to the base; a generally horizontally-disposed seat; a generally upright backrest positioned rearwardly of the seat; a footrest unit; and a reclining mechanism that interconnects and controls movement of the seat and the backrest relative to the frame between an upright position and a reclined position. In the upright position, the backrest is generally upright and positioned above the frame, and the seat has a first rearward position relative to the frame. In the reclined position, the backrest is reclined relative to the underlying surface as compared to its disposition in the upright position and the seat has a second forward position relative to the frame that is forward of the first rearward position.
Abstract: A seating device is proposed for a person sitting in an ergonomic position helpful to relieve pressure on intervertebral disks, which includes a seating surface for supporting the buttocks of the person and where the instep of the person's feet is placed on a foot rest provided. The seating surface is supported by at least one U shaped support which includes a rocker by which the seated person can tilt the seating surface into the most comfortable and ergonomic position. The foot rest is divided into two partial sections which flank the support and which are connected by connecting means so that the rocking motion of the support can proceed unencumbered.
Abstract: A children's high chair comprises a supporting frame (11,111) for a high chair (12,112) for receiving the child. The frame (11,111) comprises in turn a pair of legs (14,15) openable compasswise and with lower ends (19,119) for resting on the ground and stiffening crosspieces (20,120) arranged on both sides of the frame and movable between a non-operational position allowing closing of the frame and an operational position in which the crosspieces engage the legs to hold them steadily in open position. The crosspieces (20,120) can be moved to another more lowered operational position to rest on the ground to constitute high chair rocking members. Advantageously an automatic battery-powered mechanical rocking device can be provided.
Abstract: A multi-postion chair. The chair includes a base that has a seat and a seatback attached thereto. The seatback may be reclined relative to the base in a plurality of positions. An arcuate foot rest is pivotally attached to the base such that it may be pivoted under the base to enable the chair to be rocked thereon. In the alternative, the footrest may be extended relative to the base to provide a footrest for the occupant. A storage well may be provided in the base and the seat may be pivotally attached to the base such that it overlies the storage well. The chair may have pivotable armrests attached to the base and an adjustable headrest attached to the seatback.
