Abstract: The present invention relates to a leveling valve including a first port, a second port, a third port, a valve, and a clutch. The clutch is provided with an engaged position and a disengaged position. At least a portion of the clutch may move relative to the valve when the clutch is in the disengaged position. The clutch moves the valve when the clutch is in the engaged position. The valve is movable between a first position, a second position, and a third position. When the valve is in the first position, the valve blocks a first pathway, which extends from the first port, from connecting with a second pathway, which extends from the second port. When the valve is in the second position, the valve allows the first pathway to connect with the second pathway. When the valve is in the third position, the valve allows the second pathway to connect with a third pathway, which extends from the third port.

  • Patent number: 7419216
Abstract: The seat back unit has a seat back frame which can be tilted around the tilting axis (11) of the support (21). Movable on the seat back frame (13) is the seat back (25). A linear motor (33) serves to incline the seat back frame (13) together with the seat back (25). With a linear motor (33) the distance between the support (21) and the connecting section (17) of the back frame (13) can be reduced or increased, respectively. A tape (43) extends from a stationary part (45) of the linear motor (33) via the connecting section (17) to the seat back carrier (44). Accordingly, if the seat back frame (13) is tilted towards the rear, the seat back (25) is moved downward together with the arm rests (29) attached to the seat back carrier (44). A stabilizing mechanism (51) keeps the arm rest (29) in a practically horizontal position. Accordingly, on reclining the arms of the user remain always in a practically horizontal position and are finally lowered to a position practically parallel to the body.

  • Patent number: 5823621
Abstract: A reduced shear reclining seat back assembly employs a single rotary actuator for reclining a seat back relative to a seat portion and controlling movement of a seat back member in response to the reclining operation. A rotary actuator includes a first arm pivotally secured to the seat back, preferably through a link which is connected to the movable back member. A second arm of the actuator is pivotally secured to the seat portion. As the angle between the first and second arms decreases, the seat back reclines and the movable seat back member is drawn toward a seat pivot axis. Likewise, when the angle between the arms increases, the seat back is brought to an upright position and the movable seat member travels away from the seat pivot axis.
