Back Articulated To Both Leg Pairs Patents (Class 297/48)
  • Patent number: 9821987
Abstract: An adaptor is provided for a jack assembly having a lifting jack carrying a horizontal plate for raising and lowering a heavy component supported by the jack assembly. The adaptor includes a horizontal support plate fastened to and vertically offset from the horizontal plate of the jack assembly by a height. A plurality of elongated arms is slidably mounted between the two plates to move in a generally horizontal plane. Each of arms includes a holding assembly configured to engage portions of the component supported on the support plate to stabilize the component as it is raised and lowered by the jack assembly. The arms are supported in the height between the two plates at different heights so that the arms are capable of a wide range of rotational and linear movements to adjust the position of the holding assembly of each arm relative to the heavy component.

  • Patent number: 7740309
Abstract: A folding chair utilizes a gear train to control a folding motion and to achieve a compact closed form. While holding a handle integrated into a backrest, the weight of the chair allows it to open and unfold automatically into an open position. The folding chair locks in place in the open position. To refold the chair, a button is depressed to release the lock and the seat is pulled toward the backrest. The gear train refolds the front and rear legs. In the compact folded position, the lightweight chair can be carried with one hand in a relaxed position, similar to an attache case. The handle is contoured so that it is possible for an adult to carry two chairs back to back in each hand.

Abstract: A foldable highchair includes a chair frame, a seat unit mounted on the chair frame, and a latch unit provided on the chair frame. The chair frame is in a form of a four-link mechanism, and is convertible between upright and collapsed states. The chair frame includes a base, a front leg unit, a coupling link unit, and a rear leg unit. The latch unit is operable to prevent pivoting movement of the front leg unit, the coupling link unit and the rear leg unit relative to the base, thereby locking the chair frame in the upright state. The latch unit is further operable to unlock the chair frame and permit pivoting movement of and collapsing of the front leg unit, the coupling link unit and the rear leg unit together with the seat unit on the base, thereby converting the chair frame to the collapsed state.
